A lot of love was put into the art.
Whereas GOT's playfield looks like it was rushed for a Zizzle or whatever that crap was called.

Quoted from thedarkknight77:Sorry, but these old time artists are outdated, bring in the new blood.......
I think it was cheap talent. Age has nothing to do with it.
Is it true that the playfield for the Premium will be different and by Freres? That could be good.
Quoted from Aurich:Oh no, we insist.
Look at any "what would you like to see as a pinball theme?" thread, and it's nothing but people asking for their pet license. We drool over licenses with zero info (see GOT, and at one point Alien, not being a hypocrite).
We talk about original themes, but when they come out we don't flock to them.
Don't flock to them?!
No way, Popaduik's playfield reveals were making people asking for more units. Then it all crashed. A million bucks of consumer money was lost.
Many of us would flock to unlicensed if it looked good like a B/W.
Quoted from paul_8788:Must feel good to be able to just toss judgements about other people around. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to being critical of work that they have done. I get you are very passionate about this but I think it takes a certain level of arrogance to call people you have never met lazy or say they weren't paying attention. I guess I just prefer critique without criticism.
Get off your high horse.
When you look at Mustang, WWE, and now GoT, I'm starting to think that moving to a new facility cost them enough money that they were forced to reduce their proceeding budgets.
Stern did say that he sees the company more as a manufacturing plant than a pinball design co.
And he put his money where his mouth is, just look at this, it's an actual translite.
So I'm watching these GoT video tidbits...
The white on black background titles last almost as long as the video part. It's annoying.
Steve Ritchie is old and tired, he takes 2 years because that's what he needs. He's retiring slowly, not the one shot "goodbye I'm out" kind of retirement. Gomez is a top dog at Stern and he doesn't work there fulltime (he made it sound in an interview that he visits once a month or something). And Ritchie has enough clout at Stern to ask for an easier schedule. Borg is young when compared to the other designers, so he works faster with more hours at the studio, the guy just works harder. Give Borg 2 years with Lyman.
We have to stop thinking that Ritchie's long schedule equates to time served.
