Quoted from Velluminous:

Had this pop up on facebook marketplace yesterday... Seller would NOT respond; both the wife and I messaged him. About 7-8 hours after posting, he removed it from the marketplace. Dunno if it sold or he realized what he was selling. From the pictures, it looked in "ok" shape... It def. had some rust and the left return lane(?) was stuck closed. Take a look at that price though!

I msged that same guy, I was just talking to someone about how bad i want a D&D so I thought some facebook scam was spying on me :p

Hey I recently got a D&d that has definately been a project at various times - could anyone give me a pic of the plate that the score displays attach to? I have after market displays in it and it looks like I can only attach them at 2 points instead of 4(so theyre wobbly) but the thing they're attaching to might be wrong too

also i have a hole in the top of the head in the middle by the front(not the two on the sides for the topper) , its very blown out so i cant tell if there is one supposed to be there or if its just a hole from the shit particle board

Is there supposed to be a gate or switch here, and if so, which one?

Quoted from Morgoth00:

It's the Mystical Millions gate that activates the MM mode timer. That is the big gimmick for this pin. It moves a vertical rod that goes below the playfield. When you hit the gate it says MYSTICAL MILLIONS!!! and sends the ball to your upper flipper with a few seconds timelimit to make the upper far left ramp for a million points. You are in luck as I was just sorting this out for a friend of mine.
I can send you a scan of the dimensioned pic if you want and you can print it and lay your MM wire on it and bend an exact repro, or just use the dimensioned pic as reference.
I believe I also have an extra vertical rod assembly, did you look underneath to see what else you are missing?

Looks like the switch underneath is there( but pretty bent on the leaf that would be moved by the gate) this us what came loose with the project, it doesn't fit so guess it was going to be cut into the correct size

So I'm missing two more scoring gates I think if anyone could give me a pic of how it looks, the first I'm positive about is the restore shield switch behind the left lock is gone, but then my dungeon level switch in the blue loop, is just a lead switch the ball grazes. Was this a hack someone did and its actually supposed to be a gate? If someone has a pic of that I can't even find it mentioned in the parts diagram

can anyone show me a pic of what the shooter rod looks like from the inside of the cab? what do those two really long screws attach to? mine had only one side attached, with 20 washers ending in a lock nut. but i might just need to find a new one the threading seems bad

edit: actually i think i may have this shooter assembly instead of the bally one, but missing the plate at the end https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/B-8835 maybe that would be easier to replace then finding a bally if theyre the same spacing on the screws, since i cant find anyone selling the plate

edit edit: yeah a pic would still be useful, my plate looks like it doesnt line up right so i'd like to see which one it is supposed to be(cant find on marcos etc a plate matching the part number or saying its from D&D

I cannot get the skillshot even close to working, seems to be too low compared to the playfield, did anyone figure it out from the earlier posts? Or what were those plates mentioned

Quoted from topkat:

I ended up bending the angle of the two metal arms that go into the receiver. That changed my playfield angle for the shooter rod..I can not see what yours are like, but worth a look.

do you mean the metal piece the ball is resting on that attaches to the playfield? yeah it seems like the ball isnt resting centered to that so ill get to bending

edit oh probably mean the arms that go into the cab where the lockdown bar is? guess that would make sense too

Quoted from topkat:

yes.. sorry for the poor details. But the two arms/hooks that fit into the receiver slots. I believe it then allowed shooter rod to hit the ball with more force.

Here's mine

Quoted from Tallon:

Also, check to see if someone installed the playfield support plates and it is not letting the playfield lower correctly

What do those look like?

#787 7 months ago

#789 7 months ago
