Hello everyone!

I look forward to seeing everyone again at this year's Pinball Expo in Chicago!

The time is getting closer and I thought it would be a good time to start a thread on what folks are bringing to the show.

The Expo organizers and myself truly appreciate all of the great games people bring. We recognize it is a ton of work to move stuff, set it up and maintain it at a show... and it means a ton to the attendees and organizers that you make the effort.

I will be posting another announcement concerning the suggestions we adopted from last year and some of the changes we will be making to make things go smoother than ever.

Thank you all again for bringing stuff for all of us to enjoy! It is truly appreciated.

Regards,
Andrew Barney

Sinbad! ...and maybe a second Sinbad. If anyone else has a Sinbad, bring it. Let's make a row of them. Why? I dunno, it would just look & sound cool. And it would annoy the "where are all the A-list games?!?" guys.

#5 7 years ago

I'm really considering going this year. I've never been to a convention. Sounds like I'm missing out on a lot of fun. We'll see

Thinking of bringing one or two....what's the incentive to bring a game? Any different than years past? Trophy's or prizes for best pins? It's real dedication to haul a game 9hrs for people to beat on for 3 days.

#17 7 years ago

my no fear will be returning.

#18 7 years ago

Not certain if I need to post again (from other thread) but I'm bringing a not for sale Fathom to be set up in the "Cincy" free play area.
Also may bring a 2nd game, since I have the first one done already. And it's a system 11.
Added over 8 years ago: Yes, 2nd game will be blinged-out F-14 Tomcat.

If I can help moving it, I'll bring my Jack*bot, which will likely be for sale. I know someone in the Chicago area after last expo offered to do some pickup and delivery to help get games there, so if that person is still open to that . . .

We are adding a best in show event, we are still sorting out some final details. We will get the info out by the end of the week on this. You will still get weekend arm bands and bumper blast access on Wednesday night for bringing a game. Also, unlike years past (several years ago) we now have folks helping load in and load out. I talk about our hours of operation in this thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pinball-expo-2016-free-play-area-updates

We really appreciate folks bringing games, it takes a ton of work! Add into that a long drive, its a big deal. If you are able to bring games, that would be great to see! Either way, look forward to seeing you and everyone at the show.

Andrew

#23 7 years ago

Thanks everyone for bringing games! Super excited to see everyone and what you are bringing.

Thank you all for making the game turnout great.

I will review the other thread to sort out what folks are bringing from there. Also, we will get a site setup again with whats there/going to be there.

on the midwest FB group I saw someone talking with authority that bringing 1 game only got you a wristband for 1 day (and not the whole weekend). May need to correct them on that. I did not comment since I had no idea till now what the real deal was.

#25 7 years ago

I brought two games last year for the first time in ages. Very painless. Set 'em up and got a weekend wristband for each game.

Looking at bringing another two this year. Not sure what yet, but will arrive Late Friday afternoon.

You saw that too? Lol

I may have an EarthShaker to bring along. I would need to have a prearranged sale in order to bring it. I will update once it gets closer to the event if it is ready.

#28 7 years ago

Thanks for the heads up guys, I posted some details over there concerning this.

Andrew

#29 7 years ago

So, can a machine that is for sale be brought and put in the free play room? I might be able to do that with one of mine if it isn't gone by then.

#30 7 years ago

Hoping to bring embryon and maybe 1/2 more

Yes, you can sell games out of free play. We hope that they can stay there as long as possible for all to enjoy, but many games are purchased/sold there.

#43 7 years ago

Not bringing anything, but if I could set something up in advance I'd come to buy.

WTB transporter the rescue, mystery castle, big buck hunter pro, banzai run, jolly park, vernes world, godzilla, bally atlantis, or alvin g soccer/football.

Shopping out embryon now....super deep clean. Not sure on price yet but should be a pretty nice machine. Multiple times I have almost decided to take it all the way and do a full restore! Will probably put pictures/listing once finished.

The TA is set up and going to be a good players condition machine but need to look closer at condition.

F14 is decent example and will price when closer to show as is currently for sale in my shop

#45 7 years ago

ok, please shoot me info once you know. I only have room for 1 and would prefer to set up a deal in advance. (happy to leave game on the floor for use the whole weekend)

#46 7 years ago

I will have a Rob Zombie NIB that i can bring to Expo. Standard #58 (i think, i will have to check). Upgraded toy, leds and plastic protectors from factory. I may have an extra Ghostbusters premium also. I had a couple of customers back out after recent issues with playfields. I am hoping to pick up both the Rob Zombie and Ghostbusters on Friday October 14 and then be at Expo later that day.

PM me if interested so as to not clog up this thread. Of course donations will be made to Pinside if a sale occurs.

#47 7 years ago

Anyone need used legs? I have 3 sets. Little rusty, one set missing leg levelers. $20 a set - $55 for all three. Can bring to Expo.
