Thinking of selling my F-14 Tomcat. Newly bulletproofed boards, all new rubbers and plastics, all lights except flashers replaced with LEDs and will include the right side of the stencils from Pinball Pimp in case you ever need them, as well as the old plastics in case you want them for some reason.

Quoted from JakeFAttie:

so many more machines on the east coast. is it just population density or is pinball actually more popular back there? :-/

it's where they build 'em and shipping is expensive!

it's close enough

it just takes time; i plan to buy a machine a year and work two extra jobs to do so

also remember that back in 2002 you could buy a machine for like $600. they weren't always ~7k+

Quoted from Crans:

But 80% of the time I would have been better off getting a market pin.

bought, fixed up and sold a beater F-14 over the course of covid. it was a shit ton of work and a great learning experience, really made me respect the guys that maintain games and breathe life back in to old ones. it's not for me, though, i like playing games and not wrenching on them so i'd rather just build a collection of new games-that i now know how to maintain- slowly.
