Quoted from MrArt2u:

For those of you clamoring for a Williams Super Star, I’ve got one for you. Needs to be shopped but pretty good cosmetically. How about $250 obo?

Hahahaha, I am probably the only person on earth "clamoring" for a Super Star. It was my 1st pin, 4 years ago. I bought it for 100$ @ the MOP auction. I regret selling it.

If you still have it early Nov, when I get back from traveling, I would love to come take it off your hands.

Arcade Expo 6.0 will feature a pinball and arcade swap meet on Saturday. Great time to get rid of your extras and buy what you need.
Its held out at the Museum of pinball in Banning. If any of you San Diego people have stuff you wanna sell and are not going to AE6, You can price it and drop it off at my house in North County.
Also its a great spot to do those long distant trades with pinheads coming into town. We can coordinate a few plugs if needed.

Although I didn't buy it, somehow that cherry High Roller Casino from the auction ended up in my garage to. Never played one before and it is kind of a fun game.

Update the code if you have not. Not a bad cheap game.

Quoted from seenev:

I feel like I keep hearing that you can get houdini dirt cheap, but I never see it. Where are all these unwanted houdinis?

At 5500, I would pass on whodini. They will go down to 4500 in the next year or two. Great fun game, but the design flaws kill it, even at 5500$.

D-bag warning for west coasters...
Avoid pin-flipper jamesbon1 (Adam Numark from Petaluma). He's a liar and the type of trash that sullies this community.

Thanks for the heads up. We have another one like that down here in Riverside. Pm me for details.

It seems like we find Deals on CL on old pins in someones shed. But for higher priced point games, I personally only deal on pinside . The review process alone is reason enough for me. Now with Letgo, offer up and FB Marketplace also selling things, it gives a shady seller more avenues to be shady. These shady people burn down bridges so much that they burn themself into a corner where no one will deal with them.
I am a pin flipper down here in SD. I am not in it for the money, I am in it to fix broken games. I enjoy getting them going almost as much as playing them.
Writing ads is easy. My last f14 for 1250$ was a total POS, but it worked 100%. So thats how I marketed it. The guy I bought the f14 from was also an honest guy. He knew too is was a ugly SOB and straight up said it was not worth his time repairing it. So i happily bought it for 900 without plugging it in. I made a few dollars for rebuilding flippers, redoing the dead flasher boards, and a bunch of other things. Was is worth if for maybe a 50$ profit? Sure was, I had a project for a month, I meet a great pinball seller, and I made a buyer happy too.

There's a really nice JJP POTC that just went up for sale in Riverside County for 25k.
The police might have to take a day off babysitting the protesters to go talk to the seller.

Damn. The one thread that is my go to drama free zone on pinside is now poisoned.
I was not planning on selling a game but if that gets this thread back on track I will be forced to list my firepower for $3000.
Let's get back on the topic.

Quoted from xian222:

I'm going to have them work on my TFTC. Nice to see a positive review from a Pinsider.

Whats wrong with your TFTC? I am in Esco and could help. I have a extra Rottendog MPU for testing purposes.
Area Amusements is a awesome, Family run business. But if you are having 1 issue on a board, it actually might be cheaper to buy a new board and sell the old with disclosed issues on ebay.
Most tech trips are $125+ an hour. So 2-3 hours worth of work ends up costing much more then sending to to Chris H, or new/refurb boards.

Quoted from xian222:

Hey Pete. Unfortunately, I don't have a clue what's wrong and am hardly handy in this area. When powering on, the plafield and backbox lights go on but nothing else. No fan, no sound, no display, start button not lit and new game won't start. Was playing perfect for my first year or so of ownership. Didn't move it or play it for months and then I discovered this issue. Fuses look fine but that's where my capabilities pretty much end sadly. I'm afraid a tech visit is probably inevitable.

I am heading to Expo tomorrow and back on Sunday. If you wanna hook up next week sometime, I can give it quick once over.

Quoted from Aurich:

It happens to the best of us. I'm down to 3 games and I keep wondering if I shouldn't move another one out. Maybe I need to swap one for a new game and that would help, but I'm just not playing them.

Same here. 3-4 is perfect. I noticed at this number I truly learn the games. And when the collection gets to large most just get ignored.

I recently bought two games which I felt are great deals. Not old school $1000 IJ or TZ. I bought a Demo man for 4k. I have been in this hobby about 8 years now and it is my 3rd Demo man. The 1st cost me 2500. At 4k, my justification and thought was, It has a colordmd($525) It has Titans(60) Fully LED job (150) Mirror Blades(100), it was shopped and gorgeous. Have you shopped a demo? It takes a minute or two. So my old 2500 Demo I pretty much did all the same mods, so much so, i actually thought this new on might be my old machine. But you remove all the mods, and the game would be about $3200. Still not much more than what i spent a few years back.
I also bought a STTNG for under 5k. Total bro deal, but they happen still.
Most of the good deals I am seeing now are friends selling to friends for OG prices. Me and a buddy have been passing a HUO TSPP for 5500 for years now.

Check out yesterday's Captains Auction Pin Prices...
4 NIB stern pros didn't sell.
90s Bally Willians back to 2016 prices.
Everything else.. even cheaper.

I was wondering about this. Technically they where 200$ off msrp. They waved all premium fees. Not bad if you needed a nib for Xmas real fast.
My buddy got the Popeye for 2200$
I got a nice deal on a doctor dude at the last auction.
It's nice to see prices coming down from the bubble.
