It seems like we find Deals on CL on old pins in someones shed. But for higher priced point games, I personally only deal on pinside . The review process alone is reason enough for me. Now with Letgo, offer up and FB Marketplace also selling things, it gives a shady seller more avenues to be shady. These shady people burn down bridges so much that they burn themself into a corner where no one will deal with them.
I am a pin flipper down here in SD. I am not in it for the money, I am in it to fix broken games. I enjoy getting them going almost as much as playing them.
Writing ads is easy. My last f14 for 1250$ was a total POS, but it worked 100%. So thats how I marketed it. The guy I bought the f14 from was also an honest guy. He knew too is was a ugly SOB and straight up said it was not worth his time repairing it. So i happily bought it for 900 without plugging it in. I made a few dollars for rebuilding flippers, redoing the dead flasher boards, and a bunch of other things. Was is worth if for maybe a 50$ profit? Sure was, I had a project for a month, I meet a great pinball seller, and I made a buyer happy too.
