I have a Getaway HS2 that the wife wants moved out (I'm hoping to keep it--but at least I can show I'm trying...). Not CQ but a nice player with some cool mods--PM if interested.
I don't want to clog up the OP's thread, send me a PM with your email and I'll snap a few send them off.
Quoted from o-din:
I don't know about the rest of you, but this is just too nice a day to be land locked. Fall was always my favorite time of year when I lived at the beach. Crowds have gone away, kids are in school, and it's just me and my buddies, a decent swell, and a perfect off shore breeze...
Only 2-3 and poor form down here--waiting for the swell to pick up...
Quoted from mof:
No way bro, every musician in the 70's was skinny as a rail while kicking a$$ on stage...
Yup, you are right, most those guys were small and rail thin. If it doesn't come naturally, the dope will certainly do that to ya...
BTW, the San Francisco Sound of the late 60's is still my favorite music--unreal musicianship and song crafting by the Bay Area bands back then.
Is it just me or does anyone else get dizzy looking at photos that are not oriented correctly...
Quoted from Aurich:
I have to side with the No Fun Police™, this is a really useful thread, that's stayed on topic and helped a lot of people, and I'd personally prefer it didn't get swamped with useless band posts.
You must be thinking of the "What's for Sale in Nor Cal" thread (Bay Area excepted! ). This is So Cal, bro--let's Pinball & Rock!!
Nice set of original B/W chrome legs and levelers for sale. $40 picked up. Shipping is OK, but is gonna be expensive.
Those photos did not speak to me, yet--but they did give me a sore neck!
Could we get past all this and get back on track, perhaps? This by in large has been a very cool thread.
Had a great time at O-din's place today. After seeing his great collection of EM's (and playing a few--most of which kicked my a$$), I can now understand why he is captivated by these old games--they are so cool! I'll never pass by a wood rail or EM at a pinball show again without checking it out. Rock on, bro!
Well...that actually seems quite reasonable
Don't know much about Avenger's, but I know Troz--if it has his stamp of approval, must be good.
Quoted from NimblePin:
Sure sure Troz is good people but does that make it an extra $2000 "good?"
(I'm a buyer at $5200 cash though if you are REALLY ready to part with it Jason. Seriously...
I can be there faster than an 80's Domino's Pizza delivery guy hopped up on Jolt. )
I made no reference nor gave my opinion on price--that issue will take care of itself.
Troz is good dude and his games are in super shape, I'd do a deal with him anytime.
Quoted from golfingdad1:
Anyone know the lineup at coin op in San Diego .
Looks like I'll be there tonight, any pinsiders
Bring a sweater, you are gonna freeze after being in that mid-90 heat! (I just got back from T-Town). Can't help with your question, but wanted to say hi in case no one responds.
McLaren, Lambo, Jeep, Toyota...piffle. I drive this sweet ride, and it has a real transmission (when it works).
Got a brand new Pinball Life shaker I don't need for Spike 2 games if anyone is interested.
This is an international forum, so alternative ways of doing things are to be expected (and welcomed).
Very cool you found something in your own backyard that you have been on the hunt for!
