Kerry, I believe I have a DMD that would fit.

I think it's new/unused, I'll have too go look and see if I still have it.

Bob

#724 9 years ago

Well, it's a used DMD, with 1 vertical line out. If anyone wants it let me know.

Other than that 1 line out, it's as bright as a new one.

Still looking for a NGG or Tee'd Off in NorCal!

Somebody help put me out of my "I need to find a game that the grand-kids will play" misery!

Robert

#2255 8 years ago
Quoted from BlobfishXL:

We have linked you to this game before. What is your price range?

Why is buying a pinball so difficult.

I'm a buyer, I have money, I've posted several times I'm looking for games.

And what do I get...PM's and posts that ask what is my price range.

If someone has a game they want to sell, let me know location, condition and asking price.

My budget is as follows...as little $ as possible to get the best game possible...with bonus points for something I can easily drive and see, play and put in the back of my Jeep GC and drive home.

Robert

In anticipation of perhaps purchasing another game, I only have room for 5, I will be putting my X-Men LE up for sale soon.

Details to follow, as soon as I return from an extended work trip to Ridgecrest, Ca.

Robert

#3296 8 years ago

I've listed my X-Men for sale.

I know a lot of people think it's great, but while it's definitely a beautiful game...it's a game I really never got into play-wise. Though is does play better with the smaller Wolverine figure and newton ball arrangement I installed.

I'm not looking for trades, as I don't have the space. Come by and take a look, drink a beer, make an offer...to me it looks the same as when I took it out of the box.

#5262 7 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

I miss mine a bit. But I'm sorta in a pinball holding pattern at the moment. Also I'd have to peel off all those target decals & find the original sling plastics. lol

Ha, Ha, ha...

#5282 7 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

Those games are far inferior to Spider-Man. Spider-Man is excellent! $5k is a real value on that game in today's market, IMO.

I have had a couple of offers for my Spider-Man, both at $4600...well except for the scammer that would pay full price.

It's difficult for me to think about parting with a great game like SM for so little money, but I guess at the moment that's what it is.

If the grandkids wanted to play it more, I'd probably try keep it, but they are fickle and apparently the novelty of Spider-Man has worn off. They play NBA FB & NGG way more. I need the space so SM is the one to go.

There are certainly a lot of options for games at around $5k, but SM has to be one of the best values out there right now.

Robert

#5335 7 years ago

As soon as I sell my Spider-Man I think I'd like to try to do a refurb/restoration on a DMD game.

It needs to have the parts ability and "good bones". No games from a flood or fire, please.

Not sure what I'm looking for, but will probably know it when I see it.

Accepting ideas, suggestions and game offers.

Thanks.

I'm considering selling my MMr (LE #34) with color DMD, purchased from Larry @ Flip N Out.

I just don't play it much anymore and I'm not really set up (both financially & space wise) to be a pinball museum.

Price hasn't been set yet, so flame me if you want...just seeing if there is local interest before I generate a full add and/or post on Craigslist (and perhaps have to ship it).

Maybe open to a partial trade with a Slugfest, T3, Mousin Around, Taxi or Who Dunnit.

I just don't play it much, and decided to keep my MMr as I prefer it more.

Located at 94583, prefer local buyer...no trades.

Robert

Essentially brand new, 146 plays.

Robert

Sale Pending...
While I like the game, I don't love it and really don't have enough room to have a Pinball Museum, so I'm selling my AFMr (LE #34) (green trim), purchased from Larry @ Flip N Out.
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/63655
I've made one last reduction to $7200, located at 94583, prefer local buyer...no trades; as of a few days ago it had 146 plays.
If it doesn't sell I may give it to my son-in-law for his game room...I need the space and am tired of looking at it as it reminds me of how much I paid for something I'd really rather not have.
Thanks.

I've been retheming a Bally Night Rider (SS) as a Whack-a-Mole game and am having a bit of trouble finding replacement switches for the game.

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bally-night-rider-ss-re-theme

There is not a lot of them and I have been taking new switch stacks apart and reassembling them to mimic the old Bally switches.

If anyone has a source or has some they would part with, I'd appreciate it.

In recent memory I have sold my X-Men, Spiderman, AFMr, Stern ST Premium and my NBA Fastbreak & will probably list my NGG for sale.

While I enjoy or enjoyed these games, since I bought my Night Rider to re-theme I have remembered how fun the older & surely simpler SS games (rule wise) were/are.

Thinking back on the Fathom, Police Force & Comet I owned and similar I played at the Lucky Ju Ju (now the Pacific Pinball Museum) and at bars in the 70's, my desire to learn the rules for an "18 Mission Game Progression" dwindles.

Maybe I'm just getting older; I do know that I can't play for more than 10 - 15 minutes without taking an Aleve to minimize the arthritis pain in both hands.
I'm sure that plays into my desire too.

I think that this afternoon I may go over to Alameda and play a few of these simpler ruled games that are difficult to master.

If anyone local to me has an early SS game in good condition that may be wanting to part with, let me know...I might be tempted to buy.

Robert

#7337 5 years ago

Not my re-theme, but it is nice.

I'm still working on integrating sounds into mine. All of the graphics are complete, with only the playfield overlay to print and install. Since I will be screwing with the playfield and the wiring still, the playfield overlay is on hold. Life had sort of put this on hold, but now that it's turning into winter I will probably move ahead a bit faster.

My re-theme thread is here:

Wondering if anyone has one or 2 of these they might be willing to part with:

Laser Cue, Black Pyramid, Centaur, EB Deluxe (1981), Jungle Lord, Gorgar, Seawitch or Harlem Globetrotters.

Robert

#7347 5 years ago
Quoted from ThatOneDude:

Feel free to swing by sometime and play Gorgar.

This is California and I'm retired and don't have much money, so you should give me that game.

I recommend to pick up a Williams System 9, or two. There are only 3 - Comet, Space Shuttle, Sorcerer. All excellent pins and generally cheaper than System 11s and early Ballys.

I dunno, part of the reason I'm thinking of selling is lack of patience for these deeper more involved games.
