I'm interested in a Congo

#4403 3 years ago

Looking for a 1984 Eight Ball Deluxe.

#4404 3 years ago

Looking to downsize in San Jose area. Need to clear out a bunch of projects-

* 2x Nine Ball (one works, one unknown) - could make one exceptional machine out of the two, one player.
* 2x Cosmic Gunfight (one works, one is a parts machine) - parts machine has an NOS playfield someone started to swap mid-80s and gave up on. Likely missing a ton of pieces, though. Both backglasses are solid (one perfect, one minor flaking). One cabinet is awful.
* Nip-It - totally used to work before I took it apart to clean/touchup and got distracted. Never finished putting it back together, but I have all the pieces. Backglass is flawless.

If there's serious interest, I can take pics but I'd much rather just show them in person.

Also a Dr. Dude in "good" shape. Maybe a gorgeous Paragon (no deals on this one, I kind of like it)?

#4408 3 years ago

Putting my GoT LE up for trade. In perfect shape. open to anything in the same value range.

#4409 3 years ago

I need to sell one final pin to make room, looks like it'll be Riverboat Gambler. My restorer buddy will be taking it to sell it for me in a few days but before he takes it I figured I'd check here if anyone wants it. It's for local pickup only in the Los Angeles area (Woodland Hills), great condition, and fully led'd, $2500. I don't have many pics of it since my friend was going to handle selling it for me, but there are a handful of pics here:

My Caribbean Cruise is sold!

Anyone looking for a Ripley's (RBION)? It was a routed game, but meticulously shopped out by Hana9So (Kyle T) and Aurich did a beautiful job repairing/repainting the scoop. It's super clean, plays great, tastefully LED'd with non-ghosting bulbs, with proper color temperatures under the inserts, warm white in GI. Some color splash on the shrunken head. Cab has some nicks, but not bad for a router.

PM me for pics!

Asking $3000 obo
Not really looking for anything, but will consider trades. Not sure what I'd really want ...but, open to games I don't have. Sopranos maybe? Flintstones? I dunno - PM me!

#4414 3 years ago

That Ripley's cleaned up real nice, Kyle did a really thorough job, as always.

#4415 3 years ago

Thanks Greg... Hopefully your $$$ arrived today.

Thanks, but I need less games, not more.

I'm generally only interested in 90's B/W games or a Stern I haven't had, like Sopranos. No Segas or DE's, please (although sometimes I miss Tommy and GNR).

#4418 3 years ago

Does anyone have or know of a Jack Bot for sale by any chance?

#4419 3 years ago

Looking for a Flight 2000 in northern California for a friend. He had one as a kid and wants to have it again for himself and his kids. Anyone out there have one or know of one that might be available?

Heavy Metal Meltdown for Sale ...$900 firm... pinside price. I'm in Anaheim by Disneyland...
Machine works 100% plays great, great audio guitar riffs! This is a players quality pinball.
Playfield has some wear with touch ups....I'd say a 7 out of 10. Cabinet not bad, full art no fade, 8+ out of 10.
Ramp is clean, no broken plastics.
I fixed the topper, got all blinking red lights working up there and improved the connections on topper speakers.
This machine was an extra in a bulk purchase.
Buried in garage, will get photos today and put in marketplace.
Pm me if interested, around all weekend for a drive by, play and purchase.
Thanks Eric

#4421 3 years ago

Will be listing a Stern Trident and maybe a Police Force. The Trident just had a fresh tear down and shop. Lots of new parts and pieces. Playfield has some planking, match and player 4 display are gassing, BG is flaking but has been mostly covered in tape, CPU bulletproofed and the cab is really nice. Any questions let me know. Interested in trades (mostly looking for arcades) or cash. I will list in the marketplace shortly. Thanx in advance.

Interesting market we are in these days.

Yea apparently in California if a pin doesn't sell, you actually increase the price rather than reduce. Go figure.

There is a nice looking one on SF bay area craigslist right now (San Rafael). The seller is probably on Pinside.

Price is $5800, which seems high to me, but the ad says it's the lowest price around, so what do I know? Game looks nice.

So is the death of this thread near an end? Looks like people's LOCAL sale posts are getting moderated into oblivion. Where's the retarded emoticon...? Oh here it is.... « Spoiler! Click to reveal. G-R-E-E-D »

P.S that spoiler would have been cooler if I could actually post a picture in this thread!! Wtf pinside

#4440 3 years ago

You have to try uploading pictures 15-20 times then it will randomly allow you... But then you might still get a few random "an unknown error occurred" messages whilr attempting to post the message.

#4441 3 years ago

no more pics on this thread...

To the Market Place!

#4442 3 years ago

I just went back and took a look past few pages. All pictures removed till about a month ago. They left a rollergames I think because it was marked sold. $800, good price for a rollergames.
I guessing here, but they prefer market adds so if it sells you donate some cash. I always do for pins and machine's anyway.
Don't like being censored in a sub forum like this. Pinside, what's up? Makes me not want to donate next time. Being honest....

Well, no more public pictures...no biggie. If you're interested in someone's game, PM and then exchange pics by email.

#4446 3 years ago

I have some misc stuff for sale in the market place, if local, you can pick it up. Thanks Mike https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/38936

Quoted from Rarehero:

The problem is that some people have posted a game for sale and a moderator has removed the post completely so you won't know there's a pin for sale locally unless you post it to the public in the market place.

Pinside doesn't want the local threads to subvert real sales listings, which they get a cut from. That's why it now says:

Uploading is disabled for this sub-forum.
If you're selling stuff on Pinside, you need to use the Pinside Marketplace. You can then embed your ad in any forum post by using the ad embed code. Click on the icon or paste the embed code manually.

at the bottom. Is what it is, the more money involved the hobby the stupider things get is my take. I've happily donated to this site since I arrived, and I guess I'll keep doing it, but things like this make me feel less inclined. I let my heart go grey.

Quoted from Aurich:

I too am disappointed with the decision to remove pics from regional threads. (perhaps this discussion should be in a more visible thread, as I presume it affects all regions equally.)

Robin does a lot of things right, and sometimes I think he gets something wrong and we speak up. Here's why I think it's a poor decision to remove pics from local threads:

When I want to sell a pin, I think I'm going to belong to one of two very common use cases:

A. I'm placing a Pinside marketplace ad when I want the most attention possible -- when I want top price, and national attention for a pin that I know is valuable enough to ship. I'd say pins priced more in the $1500 and up range.

-or -

B. Im placing a regional-local post when I've just shopped out a $800 player, and I only want to move it to local collectors that I know that won't waste my time; I may not WANT people to be contacting me from other states asking about shipping. I may not WANT people low balling me to make up for their $500 shipping cost. I may not WANT to open Pandora's box of, "broken promises, refund demanded" rabbit holes from Pinside strangers.

So, I'm disappointed that Robin is apparently not taking into account the *reasons* some people prefer to use the "local for sale" threads. Not every pin sale, especially those at the bottom end, demand a marketplace ad.

I'll be honest -- most of the new friends I have in the hobby have come from local transactions. I look forward to meeting quality Pinside people who are locals most. Anything that detracts from continuing to enhance that experience is disappointing to me.
