Pins for sale? I can’t even find pins to play on location. Look at my area on pinball map. With the exception of a brand new place that bought 6 sterns, it’s barren for about an hour in every direction. Anyways….im just salty….

I’m right there with ya. I live in the Mojave desert and the closest business that has more than 2 pins is 2.5 hours away from my home.

It blows. Hence the reason why I buy pins. I wouldn’t buy any pins if I lived small driving distance to a barcade.

I recently lost my homeowners insurance policy with Liberty Mutual. 15 years as a loyal paying customer with no claims, and they dropped me. For no reason. Apparently Liberty Mutual wants to get out of the insurance business in California. It's been a pain in the ass trying to get new insurance. Those of you who have Liberty Mutual here in Ca should probably watch out. They may drop you as well.

just something those looking for insurance might need to know. if you have an older home (60's- 70's ) you could have a breaker box made by zinsco or federal pacific panels(FPC). insurance companies consider them high risk and want them replaced, so you will not be able to get insurance until its done. probably cant sell your home either if you them..

Zinsco and FPE are both very real fire hazards for different reasons. It’s one area where insurance companies are correct to demand equipment replacement.

FPE is the worst ! If you have that on your house change it now ! I’m an electrician and I’m telling you those breakers WILL NOT trip if a fault occurs . Fire will ensue

Not to pile on and hijack the thread further but, I'm a Union Electrician in SF. I can't tell you how many old panels, especially Federal Pacific's, I've seen cause damage over the 20+ years I've been in the field. For people upgrading and planning on selling in the future, make sure you pull permits if you upgrade. Otherwise you'll get dinged when you go to sell for not having permitted upgrades.

One more log on the derailed thread fire: with Zinsco it’s usually not a matter of if but a matter of when it will catch on fire. I have inspected hundreds of these as well as being involved in looking at post Zinsco fire damage. To paraphrase the words of a former colleague who was both an electrician and a volunteer firefighter, “Most of them will catch fire eventually. So far we’ve had good luck putting out Zinsco panel fires before they did too much damage to the structure”.

I believe Zinsco equipment continued to be made under the Sylvania label from roughly 1973-1980/81, so you might have Zinsco equipment without the Zinsco label. Public service announcement complete.

AYCE Gogi in West Hills is about 46 minutes away from you They have a killer lineup at only 50 cents a play for most games which is awesome. I think the new place you're talking about is an axe throwing place near me that has 6 games, although they are $1 a play. It's kind of funny playing there because you'll occasionally hear "Are you ok?" in the background, presumably from some close calls with an axe.

My wife and I had a great time at CAX on Sunday. Got to play Elton and Wick as well as the Funhouse remake. Elton was sweet, but felt like an easier game. Nothing wrong with that, it’s serious eye candy. Will pick up a CE once prices drop lower. No COVID for us, I guess we got lucky

Makes sense. Prices now seem to moving pins back East but shipping kills it for us. Driving 8 hours when gas and time spent kills some of the savings vs. simply waiting it out.
