Quoted from Quadrat:I'm in So Cal.
I have an Abra Ca Dabra I haven't listed for sale that I'll probably need to move whenever I get around to it, if you're looking for one just let me know. Pretty nice playfield, repainted cab, brand new backglass, new plastics.
Selling my Who Dunnit, local pickup in Los Angeles:

If anyone on the fence about getting a Houdini, Its on location at On Tilt @ AYCE Gogi in Van Nuys. So far its pretty awesome, and everyone loving it!
Uh-oh. Another road trip is in order. Thanks for making all these awesome games available for us to play, doomid.
Great food and atmosphere there too.

Looks like I’ll be playing some Houdini while wolfing down some of LA’s best Korean bbq this weekend.
Houdini will also be at Banning's upcoming Expo if you're not close enough to make AYCE. But I encourage you to support doomid.
Quoted from doomid:POTC from banning will be at AYCE following Expo 4.0...confirmed yesterday
What, what? Thats awesome Shane!
Looks like I need to take a 60mile trip to ayce. Any ideas when is the best time for eating and playing pins? Is it family friendly for a 12yr old and 14yr old?

Not family friendly unfortunately if you want to play pinball. Kids aren't allowed in the gaming area cause it's considered a bar, 21+. That said, staff is awesome and welcoming. I always enjoy going just after lunch whether I eat or just play pins. The food is good, the pins are better

Please please don’t set this one to $1 per game. Pretty please !

Damn! You are doing one helluva job with your lineup over there. All the hot new shit. Very impressive.

For a game that cost $9k+, I agree with you. Should probably be $1.50

You guys are lucky down there!
I would gladly drop premium to keep supporting a location that works hard to rock access to new titles.

Thanks for the heads up. If only we can get a cool place like this in the IE.

I took my 14 and 18-year-old there on a Saturday to eat lunch a few weeks back. We played all the pins and there were only a couple other people there. You're correct, the pin room is in the back, which is a bar but the bar wasn't open until around 5pm, I think. Nobody bothered us. So maybe pre-5pm is a window where well-behaved kids could play?
Great place.
Wanted to trade:
I would like to trade my Full Throttle + $$$ for your Batman 66 any version. ($$$ vary with BM66 version)
Thinking of selling my beautifully modded Aerosmith Pro. Love the game, but need the cash. Game has low plays. Has Stern topper, shaker motor, slime green toy box protector, Marshall amp decals for speakers and other various plastic mods. PM if interested. Located in Santa Clarita. Will put up ad on Marketplace soon.
When selling a machine, has anyone gotten contacted by someone who just so happens to sign up to Pinside the same day as posting and has no information in their profile?
Should I overly suspicious?

It does seem suspicious. If he picks it up and pays with cash, shouldn't be a problem. If he's asking to jump through hoops, I'd raise a flag.

I guess I am mainly worried about is having them come over, get a good look inside of our house, and then suddenly decide that they're "no longer interested" in the pin. Maybe the best thing to do is move it to the garage and maybe have a couple of buddies over.
I wouldn't be so worried if this person had been on Pinside for more than a year or so and has made some posts.
Yeah that seems like a pain, but I only ever sold out of the garage and felt a little better about that. Honestly I only ever had one deal go south and it was a swap that I decided against when his game wasn't as advertised. He started getting a little jumpy but I had messaged my buddy and he was there in a second.

Doesn't sound particularly suspicious to me. Certainly not any worse than someone not on pinside at all.
Anyone can view without being a member. If someone is looking for a game, the only way to make contact is by signing up.
As previously mentioned, just take normal precautions. I think it's always good to talk on the phone to assess the likelihood of a smooth transaction.
Usually if they can't bother to call, you get a pretty good idea how it will go.

That guy was me once, I was an occasional lurker here for years, saw an ad for a machine I wanted, had to sign up to contact the seller.
Aside from "Ericpinballfan", who now owns that machine, I'm sure there's a handful of folks here who wish I was still a silent lurker!
