Quoted from Doctor6:

Flow is the one thing people are usually proud of when it comes to pros. Honestly flow isn't everything. But yes, I'm sure there are people that would play twilight zone with no gumball machine or upper playfield and say they prefer the twilight zone pro model better.... for some damn reason.

I played a pro GB and really enjoyed it, so I bought the premium thinking it’s going to be more fun, but it really wasn’t. Same for Met, they are both enjoyable, I didn’t feel like I was really missing out on much. I find that the code is really what keeps me coming back for more and this game looks like the code is really well done. Next I’d say is shots and I don’t think this game will disappoint on either model.

My distributor said premium games should be shipping this week.

What’s up with the glove gems not matching up with the images on the playfield or Thanos when you first start the game? Same with the tilt animation. The gems are not in the same places, which bugs me.

On the glove, the one in the middle of Thanos’ hand is green, which matches the translite. The playfield and images on the LCD clearly show it as yellow.

Just got notified that toppers are in
$1,000 each. I’m out.
Holy Cow

No way I’d pay even half that for the Avengers topper.

Received my Avengers premium.

It’s not grabbing me as much as Jurassic Park did from the jump, but it seems like a really good game. Hopefully they add more code that will push it to that level.

The portal lock has already frustrated me as it often confuses the game and leads to ball searches or just general hang ups with the mech. It’s also odd when you don’t have any balls in the portal and you start a mode with one ball and you have to wait for it to go through each stage in the subway. Again, hopefully they can have the code take care of some of this stuff.

Game definitely has a lot of flow and all the ramp shots are satisfying to hit. I like the secret skill shot, it’s a very narrow window to get it which adds to the level of challenge, but rewarding when you nail it and you’re given a portal lock opportunity when you hit it. I love the repeatable thick ramp and it’s a blast to hit over and over.

Art is great, not Deadpool amazing IMO, but you can’t go wrong with ZY. Glove doesn’t look as bad as some people were saying early on.

Definitely glad I purchased it and look forward to additional code updates as they come along.

Quoted from estrader:

Can anyone explain why I want to place a gem on a certain shot? What’s the strategy behind it? Why move the gem later?

Maybe you want to move it because you never wanted it on that shot to begin with. You are shooting shots to lock it in, so there’s a chance you hit a shot unintentionally when placing it. Also, maybe you collected additional gems and now want to rearrange them.

Quoted from snaroff:

Man, this ruleset really isn't clicking with me. Tried reading the https://sternpinball.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/AIQ-Rule-Sheet.pdf, but still feel clueless.
One thing I LOVE about JP2 is the intuitive, story-based rule set. All the MB's also have cool, obvious rules.
Maybe Bowen Kerins needs to do one of his awesome educational videos on this title...

I agree.

I’d like to see collecting the Avengers more pronounced. In some modes, it’s not even obvious what shots to hit.

I do like how if you win a mode the gem is removed from Thanos glove and placed on the playfield. More animations involving Thanos would be cool, but it seems like there’s a lot of limitations with the license.

Anyone have issues with the ball flying off the left habit trail?
