Quoted from kermit24:

It seems that many distros received one pro as a "Showroom" game and were told to not sell them to operators. Seems like a new approach maybe because Stern is trying to appeal more towards home buyers right now?

That sucks. for me.
I’m not buying A game before I play it soooo.
Can’t wait to play it as it looks awsome.

#278 3 years ago
Quoted from punkin:

Trying to think of which of my twenty games i've played before i bought.
Hurricane
Aerosmith
Lost World
Genie, Tommy and Tales from the Crypt, but i sold all three of those.

Cool.
So 6 games I wouldn’t want to play after I bought them.

Edit: there are so many games and places to play here in the twin cities now I just enjoy owning the few games I really like to play.
I’m lucky I can find a ton of games on location here.

#354 3 years ago

I was going to hold out to play it first because that is what I’ve always have done in the past but went ahead and put a deposit on a premium today.
Between watching gameplay on Dead Flip and all the positive reviews here the past day or so and the SDTM review I’m pretty sure I’m gonna love it!

#432 3 years ago

I printed out the rule sheet, it’s 25 damn pages!

What is the price of an avengers LE without it being marked up?

#867 3 years ago

No shit. I thought it would be more.
I’ve got a premium on order now and never checked the price of the LE assuming it was higher.
Thanks

#872 3 years ago
Quoted from Happy81724:

How much was your premium?

I forgot to ask when I put the deposit down.
I’d imagine like $7700.

#1068 3 years ago

I just played AIQ LE on location, only for 30 minutes today and it kicked my butt a bit, out lanes were on medium and it also looked like it had silicone rubbers on at least the flippers.
So I definitely thought it played a bit harder than I expected it to at first, but yeah it’s pretty sweet.
I kinda wish the portal lock would raise faster and also from the angle I look at the playfield when playing I wasn’t able to see the ball travel through the walking subway unless I stood up and forward more but oh well.
But it played great and looked awesome!
And yes the Captain marvel ramp seams to shoot excellent and and feels rewarding, also I thought the captain marvel ramp looks much beefier and robust in person!
Patiently waiting on my premium.

#1188 3 years ago
Quoted from Jackpotjared:

Also not too happy about how my shooter lane looks.

I’ve got a dark layer of wood on my Iron Maiden premium, fortunately mine looks kinda cool.
I’ll post a pic later when I get home from work.

#1205 3 years ago

I guess the little bit of dark wood in my shooter land on iron maiden premium isn’t as pronounced as I remembered it.
Here’s a picture anyway.

Is the metal bent here like they bolted it down with a screw underneath the plate?

Quoted from arcadem:

Avengers assemble! LE #447 just arrived in Happy Valley, Oregon. Yes, Happy. "Thor" was a big help in the move in. My game was 'born' on 9/30/2020 so must be one of the last of the run of 500; Looks perfect so far. Now to get playing and 'modding' as appropriate. Anxious to get a Topper for it (as long as it does not exceed the cost of the game itself).

What the hell! Legs on up the stairs?
Get an appliance dolly for god sake!

Quoted from punkin:

They are only 80 odd kilos and there's two guys. It's not that hard.

No but it’s kinda retarded.

#1373 3 years ago
Quoted from arcadem:I have one and I offered it to Thor and the Hulk but in true Avengers style they chose to move it the way that they did. How do you think the other games got there?

Hulk strongest ever!!!

Quoted from punkin:

I read somewhere the United States was built on hard work. May have got it wrong.

Work smarter not harder!

Edit: unless you have a HULK.

Quoted from Yesh23:

When trying to obtain the Soul Gem, the Captain Marvel shot needs to be adjusted from Stern. This is shot #6. When I rip my Captain Marvel spinner I can usually get 35 spins off of it. I notice when I'm battling for the Soul Gem when I hit this shot it usually will take 2 shots to complete and move onto shot #7.

I think it’s set high as that shot can be backhanded on the pro making it an easier shot.

I was going to install a pinball life spike knocker kit but I cannot find the setting to turn on a knocker. Maybe it’s not coded in the game now?
Running .93 code

#3093 3 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

If it's there, it should be under standard adjustments. Something like "Q24 option" and "Knocker Volume"

Yep got it.
Standard adjustment #57.
Maybe I’ll put the knocker in tonight or tomorrow
Thanks

Is there a fix for getting a ball stuck behind the pop bumper?

As for my ball getting stuck behind the pop bumper I stuck one of these 3/4 inch vinyle bumpers there.
Seams to be working fine.

Quoted from delt31:

just joined the club. How do you make that subway move faster underneath...? Ball goes from gate to gate after portal lock. I want it to just go right through.

Yeah it kinda walks the ball through the subway.
Are you running the new code .94?
I think it moves the ball through there much better with the latest code.

Quoted from eyeguy123:

dumb question, what is the best size and type of washer to use here?

Same size as what’s in the bottom of playfield. I just finally did this.
Was gonna do something about the wicked air balls I get from the sanctum target. Looking at it I noticed the post sleeve next to it is upside down.

Found this problem yesterday
Any ideas for a quick fix as my distributor is off till the 4 th of January.
Much appreciated

Try a screw and locking thread nut to replace the broken piece.

#4028 3 years ago
Quoted from dougPDX:

Anyone getting crazy sanctum air balls? I hit it straight on and the ball launches all over the table.

Check if the post sleeve is upside down as mine was

Post sleeves on newer sterns are tapered.

Quoted from LargemouthAss:

Unboxed my Premium yesterday and so far it is a blast. I keep getting balls stuck at the end of the CM shot. I removed a washer from the post at the end and that did not help. Any idea how to fix this? Game is at 6.5 pitch.

I have this happen on mine as well.
The wire form is flattened or maybe melted where it’s welded together?
I’m thinking about contacting stern on mine.

Quoted from NightTrain:

I picked up an AIQ premium with 167 plays recently. I’ve noticed an issue with the subway. When there is a ball locked in there, and then I get another ball down in there for a gem battle, the game doesn’t kick the first locked ball out of the subway. Eventually it goes into ball search and serves BOTH of the balls out of the subway.

If it’s a early run of the game Stern has made an updated replacement subway where I believe they’ve Made a bevel in the channel that the ball rides in.
I took mine out and filed a little bevel In there myself and never had a problem again. I still need to call Stern to get the new updated Subway myself.

Quoted from bajm:

Anyone doing a plastic protector for the front pop bumper cap? Mine has broken twice with the mezel mod sanctum. I’d like to find a thick protector to hold things together.
