pluto I have had some great luck with installing the stern blades without removing the playfield. I use the wet method. Agree with crwjumper except I have used windex instead of soapy water. Pull the playfield to service postion - little windex on art blade shimmy blade into place move playfield to smooth it out and done. You tube video showing it. Have done 4 sterns this way no issues.

I recently ordered some art blades and pin stadiums after seeing my friend purchased an AIQ LE with pin stadiums and they are BEAUTIFUL.
Since these two things are the first mods I've ever worked on, I had a question:
Art Blades - do I need to remove the entire playfield? Is that what's recommended or can you put them on without removing the whole playfield - one video I watched of someone installing art blades on a Deadpool didn't remove the playfield, but another video of a JP art blade install the guy removed the entire thing. Is it just playfield specific or just up to how confident you're feeling?
Pin Stadiums - This doesn't seem too hard - watched a Cary Hardy video on him installing pin stadiums on a TMNT and it seems fairly straight forward. Except choosing exactly what lights to use. Should I just follow what Pin Stadium suggest in their thread or have people had better results using different ones?

Thought the same thing no stuck switches and portal lock is normal too.

Ok a little progress. Did another switch test turns out when I hit the left flipper the opto for ball entering the through is periodically triggering and that starts the mode. Now question for the group where do I begin to troubleshoot that one?
