Quoted from snaroff:I inspired Terry @ PinballLife to offer this $1.69 solution Based on my play.
Sold individually. If you plan on putting this kit on both the left and right side of your playfield you will need to add *2* kits to your order.

Low Blow, Stern. Low.. Blow..
i want to respond to WJxxxx 's post from the code mod thread, but felt it's more appropriate here....
i had the same issue with the tower, dropping the ball far from the flipper, causing the flipper to miss. after doing a slow-mo video of it, i saw that on the way down the ball was slightly steering right, then clipping the small one-way gate near the entrance of the shot. the ball would then ricochet a few times, and head away from the flipper. not sure that's what yours is doing. but if so, the solution i found was simple. i just zip-tied the gate up and it's worked flawlessly since. i also notice no difference in the behavior of the ball around that area without the gate being down, causing me to question if it was ever necessary to begin with.
Quoted from EaglePin:If it's the inner loop you're referring to this might help:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/official-avengers-infinity-quest-owners-thread-pinsiders-assemble/page/29#post-5909864
before this issue was ever discussed, i ran into this same problem. i wound up just rotating the entire opto assembly 180degrees, never had a problem since.
Quoted from awesome1:I am not using it myself, but the hole is offset so you can close the outlane gap a little more.

just before you keep promoting this product as something it's not.. there's nothing offset about that. that's just a regular ol' clear star post, w a machine screw and washers.. it's simply wider than the original thinner metal post. as a matter of fact, it's so silly that pinball life even jokes in the description how, while you're at it, why not add this to all your games to make them easier??
Quoted from lockeness:For the second time in two weeks, the Thor newton ball has come flying off mid game. It’s not cool.
No, that's NOT cool. Also, not possible, if it's properly bolted to the underside of the playfield. check and make sure the bolt extending through the playfield has a nut on the other end.
Quoted from lockeness:The issue is that the ball comes off the post. The post is secure, but the newton ball has a hole in it and it fits on the post with glue, I guess. When it pops off, its simply an extra ball with a hole in it and part of the game. Confuses the game actually as there is one too many balls.
Anyway putting it back on the post, which is under the thor plastic is very difficult and I have messed up the Thor plastic pretty bad getting it back on without disassembling the back right half of the play field.
yeah, definitely a defect. not sure your warranty status, but i'd contact stern for a replacement. even if not, i'm pretty sure you can buy a new one. it's part #260-5016-00
here's the one for maiden, but it's all i can find on pinball life. you'll need to check that they can be substituted...
