This is about how mine are angled as well.

First plays out of the box I had the game at a low angle like 6, and the ball would not progress, kinda bounced around slowly as OP mentioned..
In its final spot at 7 degrees works fairly well, I also cut the time for the subway down to 800 in settings.. There seemed to let the ball glide through smoothly and also less of a delay in game play when you get one down there..

We did however have one issue where 2 balls got between a single set of those teeth. Took a few ball search timeouts that game to clear that.. It seems it can only sense one ball per spot there....

What is your pitch on the game ? Does it just get stuck on the last position before the VUK.. On mine at 7 degrees it sticks a little before the vuk, need to take a peek inside a bit more to see why this is..

What pitch is your game at ? Mine did this too, before i raised to about 7 degrees.. It still slows down there, and a couple times with a shot into the vuk, ill find the ball resting at that spot, a ball search wont kick it out even as the fingers dont seem to reach there..

Do you have any more details on this ? Is this to prevent or detect the two balls stuck where one ball should be problem and/or the hung ball near the vuk problem ?

My infuriating SDTM drains are coming down the right orbit. If you under-shoot the skillshot, or the ball just happens to hang up and roll back down the right edge, it's a kiss off the rubber and you can SDTM or double danger. Every. Single. Time.

I try to nudge a bit on all of those orbit exits, especially slow ones, right when the ball will touch that rubber, to get it to the left flipper..

If you miss that, would need a major jolt to save..
