Quoted from jms3000:

Hi, I am having the same issue with the SD not working randomly when I start the machine. I have a Avengers IQ Premium that is about 2 weeks old so Im wondering if you have resolved the problem and how was it resolved?

I had the same random spinning disc issue as well. A new magnet sensor board fixed the problem.

Quoted from 1956PINHEAD:

Just finished installing a felt strip to the metal guide rail by the popper. I used sticky backed felt pads used for chair legs, lamps bases, cabinet doors, etc. Bought a six pack at Lowe's. I used 1-1/2" diameter and cut a section out of it that was about 1" tall and 1/4" wide. I stuck it to the metal guide right at the end, appears to have done the trick, four games on it after the application and so far zero trapped balls. Time will tell, but it was a super easy fix that was easy to install and didn't change anything with regards to manipulating any of the factory parts.

That looks like it should do the job for you. I sunk a mini post in my location game, looks just like the post across from it on the other side. I was surprised when this occurred as it is a glass off stuck ball problem that freezes the pop bumper. Thought someone would have noticed this issue before the game reached production. Happened to me on the first ball I played on it.

Quoted from metallik:

I've had the game for months... many hundreds of plays and never got the ball stuck there. Buddy comes over couple days ago and his first ball jams in the pop. WTF?
I can absolutely empathize with ops who have to deal with this stuff on a daily basis.

Yeah, you try and root that stuff out real early and put in a permanent fix because if a ball gets stuck once, it will happen again. It is just the nature of pinball, balls go where they fit and can end up in the unlikeliest places.

Quoted from awesome1:

Carefully bend the metal guide towards the bumper a little so a ball cannot fit. I haven't had a single ball get stuck since doing it and that's in 2500+ games played.

Certainly this solution works, though over time that guide will bend back and you might pick up even more ball nicks with the edge turned more toward the player. There should be a mini-post there, just like there is across that lane on the other side.

Quoted from per3per3:

I'm experiencing an issue with the lock mechanism on my AIQ Premium and hoping someone perhaps has encountered and resolved this. Periodically, it seems like when one or more balls are locked in the portal lock and I'm about to start a mode, nothing happens until the machine eventually goes into ball search. I noticed that the ball closest to being ejected in the portal lock is sitting in the lock about a inch or more in front of the opto for that position. In those instances, if there are other balls also locked in the portal lock, they are in the correct position. I think the machine is losing that front ball's position which is causing the issue, but I'm not sure how I could adjust the lock mech to fix this.
Initially I had maybe thought the problem was related to the ball trough but after noticing the issue inside of the portal lock I'm pretty sure that's the source of this issue.
Would appreciate some help...please and thank you!

This sounds like one of your ball walker fingers isn't keeping the ball within the opto beam, common problem. After having a couple of ball walkers fail in use, I had to remove it and disable it in the adjustments menu. When that ball walker breaks, all the balls will eventually end up in the portal subway and the game is not playable. This is unacceptable for a game on location. If you want to fix the ball walker yourself, there are several posts throughout this thread that detail some owner mods that might work for you.

Stern eventually sent me another ball walker replacement and rather than reinstall it and wait for it to break again, it now sits in the bottom of the cabinet. If the next owner wants to add it back, more power to him. Personally, I think the game plays better without it.
