Quoted from Richter1019:If you’re planning on keeping it for a while, go premium. If not, go pro. It’s challenging and is great for long term home use. To me, the widow-marvel-iron man combo is one of the most satisfying combos ever. Then you can finish it off with the Hawkeye inner loop. Can’t do that on a pro. Also, the rising disk is easier for beginners to get. Shoot it in to start a quest or lock a ball…
My favorite part of the (premium) game is the combos! I just made a 6 way unique combo at the beginning of a 40 min game that lead to Battle Royale for the first time (first 6 way combo and first battle Royale). It's too bad I didn't start the combo with Capt Marvel to get a 7 way combo... I guess that's my next goal
Smooth 6 way Combo
Battle Royale Reached
Quoted from Cire113:Well guys guess what I was able to play the game at my distributor he has one set up he will sell it to me for reasonable price.
; So I may go ahead and get it by end of week…
It is brand new but has 175 plays from people playing it at his shop I shouldn’t be worried right ?
I will have to say I definitely want to upgrade to the premium the captain marvel ramp is the coolest shot I’ve ever hit so far …
I played Star Wars too a few months ago and I will say today playing AIQ made me realize how much more fun it was then SW;
I am new to the hobby since September and this will be my last machine for a while it will sit right next to Godzilla pre
175 plays is nothing, I wouldn’t worry about that or that it’s been a showroom model at all. I would want a pretty chunky discount from nib price though considering what these go for used.
Anyone have any issue form the portal lock ball launch? I keep getting some crazy ball pops, one went to the ball launch, one up the ramp... Its random but sometimes it just launches out of the wire form.

This won’t age well.

You mean the Ant-man VUK eject, at the end of the portal lock subway?
Turn down the kicker power in the settings, to the minimum value that will consistently make the eject. I think mine is at 180 or so out of 255.

You nailed it! Nice work! The combos really are amazing! I don’t think any other game combos like this does! Especially the premium
Quoted from spicekabay:I have just found these in the cabinet. Does anyone know what we are looking at? Where do these belong? Haven't seen any place where these could be missing. maybe on the upper side of the playfield? Pin behaves normal atm... Thank you!

that is a top side screw most likely. I'd look at the screws for the ramps as there are 2 washers there.
Quoted from awesome1:Here's 76 Flips remaining with using No Mind gems... always good to have a little luck, but also making multiple shots!
That’s awesome! Always nice when the Hawkeye loop actually goes around to the flipper. Mine usually gets caught in the pop bumpers… it’s also tough to get the direct Thor coming off the Hulk. Well done! My scores were with Mind gem on Hard, using on Panther, Thor & drops consecutively.
Also you can do one flip better on the Pro than on the Premium, because the ball starts at the upper flipper, where you can either shoot Hawkeye from there weakly to get a flank attack, or let it drop to the lower left flipper to shoot Panther. On the Premium it starts from Ant-man and you have to flip with the right flipper just to set up your first real shot.

Or use a mind gem button blast as the first shot
Last night was having my best game to date. Then had to go pick up my daughter on ball 3 with an extra ball. So had to drain in the middle of an multiball and leave. Of course instantly drained last ball when I returned a couple of hours later. But made me realize how much these modern games with deep rule sets need a pause feature.

Coin door ball save? It’s basically a pause feature

One of my favorite SG achievements is grazing the Thor shot on the right side (but hard enough to make it) and then having the ball make the flank attack for the drops. Twofer one!

I’d have to see this. The Soul Gem mode really doesn’t get enough credit. It’s a really unique and challenging mode. Pat on the back to the designers!

Nope, didn’t work. That’s what I did. I cradled the ball and opened the door. Flippers died, of course and ball drained. When I closed the door back, it ended the current ball.
Some games have an option in the settings to enable coin door ball save, that the game will serve another ball when the coin door closes if a ball drained while it was open. I don't remember offhand if AIQ has the option. It's not on by default and has to be enabled (you can go into the settings and enable it mid-game.)
BUT, you can work around this anyway, on any machine. Open the coin door and let the ball drain (it won't register yet as long as the high voltage lockout is off.) Then feel around inside for the trough eject kicker - you can manually push the coil and feed a ball into the plunger lane that way. It will wait there until the coin door closes. This works on any Stern with the coin door lockout. You can even do this during a multiball and manually push multiple balls into the plunger lane (lightly tap the shooter rod after the first to make room for another.)
One other possibility - you can also go into the settings mid-game and change the balls-per-game setting up from 3. You'll get Ball 4 eventually. Up to you if this method would bother you for your legitimacy of the game result.

Nice write up, thanks.

You have to turn that feature on in the settings menu for it to work. It’s off by default. AIQ does have coin door ball save.
Quoted from NoSkills:Here's a challenge for you. Soul Gem in 2 flips!
Finally got around to watching this. I was literally laughing out loud at the insanity of watching a 2 flip Soul Gem, although he did get a good bounce coming off the pops. Thanks for the vid! Apparently 84 flips is max. It’s stuff like this that makes this game so great. You don’t have to be going for high scores or Thanos necessarily, just wrecking the high scores for modes or doing some insane challenges like this is so fun!

Topper found and installed. If you don’t have but want one, they can be purchased online. I think they look pretty sturdy and the light show is nice. But the lit jewels really come across nicely and are interactive with the game gems. This topper is probably worth the $700 they cost.
