Just to maybe clear up some things on the Black Panther shot...

When you shoot the right orbit for Black Panther - if the ball doesn't do a full loop and drops down into the pops (Flank Attack), it will count as a Black Panther shot towards powering up the Avenger, but won't count for Black Panther shots like Combo Jackpot - you need to go all the way around for that, which also counts towards powering up the avenger.

One other thing to make it a little more confusing - a Flank Attack Shot will count towards a lit shot, one time per every mode.

Yeah did switch seems that opto is either about to fail or already has cos it it’s not picking up on the switch every time maybe just half the time. Gonna have to change the opto out I guess. Kinda a pain

Yeah, keep forgetting about the collect avenger counter. Never pay attention to the BP and Hulk ones. Was only thinking of the Gem mode shots that require the full shot (outside the freebie you get with the flank) or the jackpot

Is it it supposed to be a thing where you can't assign a stone to Black Panther? I don't have an issue registering that shot except when I try to do this. I can assign it when I get to rearrange gems, but not with the Black Panther shot itself. Anyone else seen this behavior?

Is the shot going completely around the orbit or just halfway? To place the gem it needs to be a full orbit shot.

If it isn’t placing on a full orbit shot then use switch test to check your BP shot switches.

I’m having an issue on the 7th Soul Gem shot. I shoot the Marvel ramp, and it doesn’t register. However during switch test, both the Marvel opto and the right ramp switch are working in the test. I can manually trigger them sequentially by hand to trigger the shot, but yea, it just goes through without triggering otherwise. It’s happened 3 times.

I can’t figure out what could be causing it! Seems impossible.

Your CM exit switch might be registering intermittently. Check to make sure a ball hugging the outside rail activates the microswitch. I had to bend the leaf out a bit on mine to make sure it always registers. Like you, I first noticed the issue during soul gem quests

Thanks, that was actually it. It turned out when I hit the CM ramp with real high velocity, it wasn’t triggering the microswitch. I bent the switch, and now it registers every single time.

I'd say the better use of the Captain Marvel multiplier is for the Reality Gem, not the Soul Gem. All the blowup scores I get come from that - shots of 100m or more during more Binary hurryups, Battle Royale, Super Victory Laps, and 30m multiple times in Trophy Mania. (Not sure about Computer Frenzy - I've been trying to figure out if the multipliers apply to a Computer Frenzy super jackpot collected by shooting CM.) Soul Gem jackpots happen only two or three times in a game; the Reality Gem can multiply many more shots.

How does Power gem compare on Capt. Marvel? Getting the perks faster and more binary shots worth it or Reality all the way?

I have the Pro and i heard that my Capt. Marvel multiplier doesn't go up? If that is the case should i go with Power?

Joined the club with a NIB premium on monday. I only played a couple of test balls but I already noticed some minor issues:

1- Intense airballs from the sanctum target.
2- Manual plunge is way too weak/weird most of the time. Auto Launcher is fine.

What are the best solution to fix theses? I'll search the thread but if someone knows the best fixes, I'm a taker.

I go like this:

Power Gem goes on either Hulk, Captain America, or Black Panther. Whichever needs the most help powering up at the moment. After each Avengers Assembled mode, that avenger stays collected, so hit Change Gems when you can and move it to a new avenger to power them up and carry over next time. (The advanced version of this: leave it on the same avenger until they reach level 2 for the trophy, then move it to power up someone else.)

Mind Gem always goes on Widow, since she's the easiest to power up to levels 1 and 2.

Right, there is no CM multiplier on the Pro. I've tried using Power Gem on CM, but it's not all that great, problem is the opportunity cost of not using it to power up and carry over a real avenger. If you want to make Battle Royale and the other wizard modes, you really need it helping on the avengers.

1 - Just bend the target back down. There are mods for a stronger bracket if you want to get and install one.

2 - You need to get and install a stronger plunger spring - that seems to be the only thing that works for it.

2- For the rod, I tried dissasemble the shooter rod, clean it, add a titan tip, adjust the plate so it's a little bit more centered and it seems to have fixed it. I have a spare red spring in case it comes back, but for now it worked 100%.
1- I tried bending it but was'nt sure which direction. Does it need to be pushed toward the player or more toward the back?

Also, is the game supposed to come with it's own keyfobs? It seems I only had the "dog fob".

Push it down towards the playfield. The airballs happen when the target isn't vertical but is slanted upwards.

Not sure what keyfobs you mean? I just got two keys for the coin door and two for the backbox, just on standard key rings.

I just recently got a premium and I put in an aftermarket, red, plunger spring. I feel like I could shoot a ball to the end of the galaxy, the damn thing can fire so hard. But with a couple games of practice, I can fire the ball all the way around every single time if I want.

iirc there is an option to turn on/off this feature in the adjustments menu. At least there is in Deadpool.

Thanks guys, I’m an idiot, I finally found it in the settings… does anyone else have a problem with the auto launcher… my ball keeps ending up stuck under Thanos’ glove (premium)

It started after I cleaned, waxed, and replaced balls… the metal part after the launch lane is raised and IMO, really doesn’t need to be. Could just have a small ledge

Quick update removed back opto exit receiver as when touching the board it would work. Re soldered the connection on the board. Reattached now registers perfectly no more intermittent issues. Must have been a cold solder. Thanks for the help.

I’m sitting at about 2000 balls played, and I think it’s about time to break out the Novis 1. I’ve never removed any hardware from the top of the playfield, even when waxing.

I’d like to give a good wipe down this time though. Anyone have any tips? I don’t really want to take every single thing off the top. Is there a set of things that will get me access to cleaning most of the playfield, without me risking removing a bunch of stuff and not remembering where it all goes?

For general cleaning I don't remove anything. I just wipe under and around everything I can get at. Then for some cleanings I'll remove the wireworms to give the playfield a good cleaning. It's easy to remove them and put them back on and it gives you access to wipe pretty much everywhere.

I feel like this machine in particular is pretty easy to get at everything to clean.

I clean fairly often and wax about every 500 or so games (and change balls) but don't take anything apart. (I did take the subway apart to clean at around 3000 games)

For the 'hard to reach' areas, I just roll the microfiber cloth up like a cigar and spray it with Novus 1 and slide it through the spaces. Do the same for waxing and then a final wipe down.

I'll also clean the rubbers with Novus 1 using the microfiber towel.

So I have the Pin Stadium Neo Adam ordered. I thought i read a post about someone having issues with their flippers loosing power and they found it was the pin stadiums hooked up to certain areas. I did a search but can't find the post. Can someone link to it. I would hate to spend this much money, and hook them up wrong and hurt the machine.

I remember reading that as well. It couldn’t have been more than a page or two back. But I think it had to do with connecting it to the hulk flasher.

I got to Battle Thanos for the first time ever. I was able to get to the last shot at the sanctum only to clank it off the right post SDTM for my last ball.

This game is awesome!

Would someone mind explaining exactly when the tower ball magnet grab is supposed to engage? Mine never grabs the ball.
Is it when the ball locks happen or just before multiball starts? Is it supposed to grab the ball at the end of the Soul Quest? I also can't complete the Soul Quest because the ball just goes up and comes back down for that last shot without ending the quest.

I just installed a new set of opto boards Stern sent me and the problem persists.

Put in test mode and place ball there to test if optos are working.
Every ball lock, every hawkeye challenge, for sure at the end of soul gem. Sure sounds like a switch issue because if it was just magnet it would end the soul gem.

The optos are working in the test and the ball locks HAPPEN, the magnet just doesn't catch the ball.
