I'm thinking of picking up my first NIB machine and this might just be it. I think I can save up just enough for a Pro in the new year. I'm kind of bummed that I can’t afford a premium, as that Captain Marvel ramp looks awesome.

At a glance, the pro seems a bit sparse with no obvious mechs or toys to speak of. It looks like a lot of fun though, but will it keep me going back for more? Can someone please share their thoughts on the pro before I pull the trigger? Thanks

Just saw this for sale : https://store.digg.com/sales/thanos-bottle-opener
not sure if the size is correct to replace the other gauntlet, but for that price it's a cheap mod

In my opinion the original looks better than this.
On the SDTM unboxing I even liked the lit LED's just not a fan of the milky look when they are unlit.

Yep, that might work well on the pro in front of the plastic (since the pro doesn’t have a physical gauntlet in that back.)

I havnt played a pro model, but several people have and left great reviews of it in this thread. Most said it played fast and smooth. One person even said they played a pro and an le and actually preferred the pro die to the le subway and ball lock breaking up the flow. I think you cant go wrong with any version on this title.

Flow is the one thing people are usually proud of when it comes to pros. Honestly flow isn't everything. But yes, I'm sure there are people that would play twilight zone with no gumball machine or upper playfield and say they prefer the twilight zone pro model better.... for some damn reason.

With JP2 , i use the long delay on the CONTROL ROOM shot to flip burgers or take a quick drink break. So i appreciate a game with a flow break.

I played a pro GB and really enjoyed it, so I bought the premium thinking it’s going to be more fun, but it really wasn’t. Same for Met, they are both enjoyable, I didn’t feel like I was really missing out on much. I find that the code is really what keeps me coming back for more and this game looks like the code is really well done. Next I’d say is shots and I don’t think this game will disappoint on either model.

Quoted from Saddath:

It's not that big of an issue in my opinion. In a one pin line up you will not often have the pin in attract mode to even hear it.

Welding point broke off. Nothing to do about it really.

What about applying JB Weld as a preventative measure? I already have some so seeing if you think it's feasible.

I too can only barely afford a Pro so that's what I'm going with. I'm truly not rich enough to be in this rich persons hobby! But I would also only buy a Pro that is one of the good Pros and I feel this is one of them. If I feel I absolutely have to have the premium for this pin, then I'll sell in a year and get a Premium and a decent price.

Hoping one of these days I can be in the club that says...I better get the LE for this one

My LE is arriving today!

My LE is arriving today! Can’t wait.

Prior to playing my friend’s LE (last Thursday), I was likely going to leave this in the box, serious have no room for it. After playing his, I’ll be open in the box as soon as it gets here! What a great shooter. Making room.

Just pulled the trigger on a premium pre-order slated to ship 10/23. Will be first new pin ever. I have heard people say that Stern balls that come with them are rough and easily damage the playfield. What balls are people thinking for this machine with the magnetic tower and such? Thanks in advance.

The balls that came with mine were super shiny and looked great. (I did have backups just in case.)

I think yellow t-molding is a must.

Do you think they ship different balls with the premium/LE's vs. the pros?

That yellow t-molding looks good! Looks like a pretty good match to the yellow on the rest of the machine. Could you share a link to where you got the t-molding?

#821 3 years ago

I getting a Premium and i was all set to snag titans and tmolding in purple but now im torn between purple or dark blue. I want to order soon because shipping to Canada right now is fairly slow. If anyone puts blue or ourple on their game, please post pics

Also in Canada, and was told my pro might not ship till the end of the month.

I think a Pro in Canada by the end of the month would be pretty lucky, considering I probably won't have my LE until next week some time. Where are you getting your info?

Can’t have consistent & constant combos without flow

T-molding.com minimum order is 20'. Only need 13'.

Lucky you. When the premiums are expected to arrive in Canada is still undetermined and could be as late as 2021

I had the same experience, while covid was in full swing i was renting some of my operator mate's machines. The only one i kept more than a month was Aerosmith, i just fell in love with his pro and had to get one.
The opportunity came up to purchase an LE, so i did. A distinctly beautiful ,machine, but not as fun as the pro for some reason.

I had to replace the Thor lock ball on my LE. The one that came in the machine looked like they found it rolling around the warehouse floor.

Quoted from spandol:

So, trying to understand, what exactly broke? Is there something we can do when we get the machine or is it a faulty part of the mech that Stern needs to update and send out a replacement?

ABsolutely nothing you can do. Its a spot weld joint that does not seem strong enoungh.
You would have to wait to see if yours breaks or not

Here's a quick video showing the t-molding and speaker lights I installed today if anyone's interested.

By the way, the t-molding is from t-molding.com 3/4" yellow. It was super easy to install. I didn't even need a rubber mallet.

That is a gorgeous pic. LE 381 showed today! I saw the GnR like a bunch of us did but i really look forward to playing some Avengers. They have to play good fellas thats the thing and had that thing not launched today we would still enjoy what we got! Will share some pics once i get it up and running! Titans maybe next week or sooner.

Wow, looks nice. Also the speaker lights set up color matched- very impressive.

Does the le #really matter? Do they make them in order? I assume even since they pump them out in 2 weeks they all are similar. I have a chance to pick between a number in the 100s or 400s

no, to my knowledge they are not made in sequential order.

has anyone with an LE had any issues with the spinning disc registering during some games?

it works fine in diag mode. but sometimes i start a game, and when i hit the disc nothing, for the entire game. i have found that if i raise and lower the playfield, or go to the tests screen and raise and lower the disc with the service buttons, then it works again.

there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason. i have checked all wires underneath the playfield, all connectors are tight.

just not sure what would cause it to stop registering the spins during game play.

i have an email into stern for assistance, but was told tech support only works 2 days a week due to covid.

LE owners how does the Marvel ramp shoot? Really missing your reviews so far. Everyone seems to be playing. A good sign .

Anyone heard a thing about the ETA for Premiums as of late?

Just got an email from my distributor that they're still set to ship mid to late October. Hopefully the all of the issues we've been seeing with the LE's are worked out by then...
