Quoted from AllenLeper:Hey Thunderbird! Cool chart!
Theres a couple of errors I wanted to help clear up. The Mind Gem mode is only THREE rounds of "shot then disc".
Also, Power Gem is a little bit more complex rule-wise than is explained. Each of the 3 shots (that arent the Hulk shot) do damage to the Black Order Enemy. The two "outside" shots (glancing blow) do 15% damage while the "center" shot (critical hit) deals 30%, which means that the amount of shots required to complete the mode changes depending on how many critical hits you get. It is possible to finish the mode in 4-5 shots. Or 2 if you use the Mind Gem correctly
I made a post about 8 posts up ^^^ about a Twitch tutorial stream that Im doing this upcoming Wed, where I will explain essentially everything about the game, from basic rules all the way up to my own very advanced strategies. Everyones welcome to come by, pick up a bunch of knowledge and strats, and ask as many questions as theyd like. Ill answer everything!
Hope to see you there!
So you are saying that Mind Gem should be written like this?
MIND GEM BLUE: 1 blue shot > spin disc, repeat 3 times total then hit Sanctum target OR
quick flashing blue shot > spin disc, repeat 3 times total.
How would wording change for Power Gem on the chart?
POWER GEM RED: Shoot 3 flashing red shots & 1 of any red shot (not Hulk orbit shots) > final blow at Hulk Orbit shot OR Shoot 7 of any red shot (not hulk orbit shots) > final blow at Hulk Orbit shot.
Quoted from manadams:I can see people not liking the callouts/voice actors for this game but find nothing wrong with the music or video.
It’s good yes but it can be better with real voices and videos much potential so im hoping someone have time to make an sound & video mod like they did with JP and ST. Cant play without this anymore on these machines.
Maybe someone is willing this to do and we will sponsor him

Mind Gem is perfect!
For Power Gem, I think the easiest way to explain it would be to say:
"Shoot 3-7 Non-Hulk-Orbit shots before final blow at Hulk Orbit. Fast blinking shot does 30% damage (critical hit), slower blinking shots do 15% damage (glancing blow)".
Hope this helps!

Interesting that some find the call outs/voice actors not to their liking since these voice actors are the very Marvel Avengers Assemble actors that did the show series for 8 or 10 seasons. On the other hand, I’d like to have music and video from the Avengers Assemble show, which was well done and where all the artwork came for the LCD on AIQ. AIQ is taken from season 2 of Avengers Assemble show series. If anyone would take that show material and music and put it in our game, it would put it over the top, just as it has done for JP. Let me know if anyone does that.

Yes thanks, just preparing changes now. What would you change in the green more detailed area on the left of the chart?

I think that section explains a very complicated strategy SUPER clearly. The text is great. I would maybe separate and number the steps so people can quick reference it as they play? The only thing I would change and thats very small.
Here is the backside of the chart. I redid and updated this from what someone else has done (their gem perk chart was very hard to read and wordier). I’d give them credit, but I don’t know who did it. It is an explanation of what each gem does. If there are any errors, please let me know and I’ll update this 2nd page too. Sure helps making this game a whole lot easier to understand for newbies and advanced players alike. Great reference for strategies. Enjoy by printing on the back side of the quickest way to collect gems chart. It’s what I’ve done. I’ve posted high res copies here for those that want to print them both out. Even other family members that were not interested in AIQ are interested now, with the charts. Making it much easier to grasp.

I'd love to know a source selling them at the original price of $139.99 too! I think new prices on shooter rods may be $179.99

These are great, thanks for sharing, I'm going to print double sided and laminate I think.
Quoted from AllenLeper:Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that Im going to be doing a super comprehensive AIQ tutorial next Wed over on Owlnonymous' Twitch stream. You can find all the info about it on this thread:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/aiq-for-dummies-complete-tutorial-stream-and-ama#post-6388713
This will be a TON more than just learning the basics of the game. We'll be learning beginner, intermediate, and advanced mode/gem/game strats, as well as a bunch of shortcut strats that I've come up with to get you all the gems and the 1 Billion point Thanos bonus, and a bunch of other info! If youre interested, please check out the thread, and if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message.
Thanks for reading.
Avengers Pin Owners Assemble!

Hey gang, you’re going to want to show up to Allen’s streaming of AIQ strategies. I’ve been chatting with him and seen some of his work and it’s awesome! Gem placing strategy charts alone are worth the visit next Wednesday! He’s really put together some fun charts to make our game even more fun and understandable! See you all there and thanks to Allen for putting this on for us.
Should be joining the club in a few weeks with a premium and really looking forward to it. I saw that there was one alternate audio being worked on but there has not been an update on that thread for a while. Is there a alternate audio for the most recent version?
You guys that have already broke it down to clean and replace rubbers, am I up for a difficult task? I’ve broke down games before on top of playfield and it usually takes me a full day or 2. I got my Titan replacements, and I figure I’ll do a clean while I’m replacing those. I’m under 300 games played. I do have tiny barely noticeable ball lines in the outlanes already, so a light clean and wax can’t hurt.

AIQ is actually fairly easy to clean and change rubbers compared to a lot of games. Don't have to remove anything to get to 90% of the rubbers.
Roll your micro fiber towel up like a cigar to access the lanes under plastics, the tops of ramps, etc.
Quoted from Munsters:Someone knows where to find the aiq stern shooter rod? Thnx
I just ordered one from Cointaker and it arrived yesterday.
Quoted from roar:I think new prices on shooter rods may be $179.99
I paid $179.99 from Cointaker this week.
Quoted from Munsters:Ahh even an stuck ball with the plastic protector! Some knows a better fix?[quoted image]
Heat that plastic with a hairdryer and bend that edge more to 90' angle then what it is now.
Quoted from Munsters:Are we talking about the same rod? Cointaker only accepts preorders.
It said preorder but it shipped right away. I was surprised as well. It’s the official Stern shooter knob.
Quoted from Krupps4:It said preorder but it shipped right away. I was surprised as well. It’s the official Stern shooter knob.
Wow. Nice! Hopefully I’ll get my topper I ordered from Cointaker soon then. It said “now shipping”at the time I placed the order, and I ordered it on the 8th. Still haven’t got a shipping confirmation though.
Looking at their site now it says preorder.

I just installed the shooter knob today, so, trust me, it’s real. Topper came a couple of days ago but I got it from Nitro. Great pin. A lot of fun stuff. Enjoy!
Finally got the Tibetan Breeze 3rd flipper kit done for Avengers that some of you have been asking for. On AIQ, the upper left flipper is mounted at the edge of the playfield so there's no room to install a bracket. So I flipped it around and used a right flipper bracket, but on the other side, over the EOS area. Works great. This add-on kit is ONLY for AIQs with a Tibetan Breeze 2 flipper already installed. I'll be doing custom 3rd flipper kits for the other Spike games, checking each one before release to make sure there aren't any issues. Kit is in the AIQ section of Pinmonk.com.

Do you find it's actually necessary? I haven't had any trouble hitting either shot after long sessions. Of course long for me probably isn't that long. (Twss)

I personally haven't noticed significant fade on that flipper, but others apparently have (or maybe they play much longer sessions than I do) and have been asking for it. So here it is!

I play some pretty long sessions and @pinmonk's Tibetan Breeze fans for the bottom two flippers work great, but I haven't noticed issues with the upper flipper. I would guess it gets hot as well, but the flipper fade isn't as noticeable since all of the shots are close to the flipper. It certainly couldn't hurt though.
Quoted from Munsters:Ahh even an stuck ball with the plastic protector! Some knows a better fix?[quoted image]
Carefully bend the metal guide towards the bumper a little so a ball cannot fit. I haven't had a single ball get stuck since doing it and that's in 2500+ games played.
Quoted from rwalters21:just played a game and this little guy fell out onto the playfield...any idea where it came from?
[quoted image]
Looks like there’s an added spotlight on your right slingshot. Maybe it fell out of there? It’s a comet bulb so it’s been added somewhere. I added a spotlight to my game and the led I put in there has popped out on me once.
Can’t be that hard to find though. Run a LED test and cycle through each one with the flipper buttons if you can’t seem to find where it fell out from.

[quoted image][quoted image]
Also…Congrats and welcome to the club! You have bought yourself one awesome pin! If you absolutely want some mods worth getting…my first vote would be to replace the tower with mezel mods tower! I’d also recommend their Doctor Strange Sanctum.
T Diddy makes a sweet PYM lab to go over the ant man VUK, but it will cover the Thanos face on your art blades. Since Thanos is all over the game anyway it’s no biggie for me. I think it’s a nice addition. Also from T Diddy you can get the Captain Marvel ramp piece that helps with rejects.
Quoted from awesome1:Carefully bend the metal guide towards the bumper a little so a ball cannot fit. I haven't had a single ball get stuck since doing it and that's in 2500+ games played.
Certainly this solution works, though over time that guide will bend back and you might pick up even more ball nicks with the edge turned more toward the player. There should be a mini-post there, just like there is across that lane on the other side.

it was from a lit flipper button ha, must've came loose during transport and ended up on the playfield.

thank u brother, was definitely interested in the tower and sanctum upgrades. is Diddy on pinside?

No need to bend it much.
In the original Poster’s case the add-on shield may be contributing to the ball getting stuck. Hard to tell for sure from the pic.

Here’s the tower

Here’s the sanctum

And yeah TDiddy is on here too. He makes The PYM lab, CM ramp fix mod(which are the only 2 things I got from him so far) as well as a sweet looking Chrysler building that goes over the middle black widow ramp shot.
Anybody replace the spinning disc rubbers yet? How’d that work out? The old ones are on clear piece. I’m trying to get them off now. I ordered replacement stern 1/2 inch from Titan and now that I have the original out…they kind of look tapered. I’m not quiet sure the best way to get the old off, but they are already showing signs of damage and need replaced.
——UPDATE——
got one end off and almost got the other. Anybody else trying this, I used 2 sets of pliers I had. Pull one end off and then used both pliers to push the other end up to the edge and eventually worked it off. Sheesh stern what were you thinking. Eventually we gotta replace this stuff!

They are actually rubber? They are so solid that I thought they were plastic. How does it play with the Titans on there?
I would probably split them, if I decide to remove them on my machine.

It is hard. The posts are all the same too. Hard stuff. As far as how it plays now…
It’s ok I guess. As far as replacement rubber goes, I’ll always go Titan.
I’ll be honest though. I don’t really like replacing rubber. I feel like it will never play as good as factory again. Let’s just say I’ll have to get used to it.
I was so used to how it played before, and was actually getting better.
One thing I don’t like about new flipper rubber(I’ve tried Titan and super bands) is the ball seems to stick to the new flipper rubber at times. I got standard low bounce this time because I never tried it before. Feels like all the new rubber grabs and you have to delay your reaction time.
Again, I’ll just have to get used to it.
I’m sure there’s a million others with way more experience, but this is only the 4th game I’ve replaced all rubbers on. I’m sure others can tell you if they play close to factory. I can’t seem to hit anything now that I changed them all out. Lol
Even the center ramp is a challenge all the sudden. I’ll get used to it though.

Sounds like your flipper rubbers had gotten pretty 'dirty'? Once they get a coating of metal dust on them the ball will 'slide' more and not grip. New rubbers will be much grippier, so shots will feel different.
I play quite a bit, so I generally clean the playifield, rubbers and especially the flipper rubbers every week or two. Some use naptha for cleaning the rubbers, but I like Novus 1. Wet a micro fiber cloth and wipe them down while still installed.

Maybe so? Would it be that bad that quick though? The rubber could have been dirty. Hard to tell on the factory black. I didn’t try to clean it. Just wanted to go ahead and replace it.
I only had 175 games played and I bought it NIB
I only changed all the rubber because the Stern was showing a little wear already on the disc rubber. I went ahead and cleaned and waxed what I could reach too.

Yeah, the original black rubber will "shed" a bit too. I've been using translucent rubbers in most places and it's surprising how quick they get dirty.
Superbands polyurethane rubbers will show less 'dirt' and are generally stronger with less bounce than the Silicone rubbers. I use them for posts and the upper left flipper since it takes a beating, but use Perfect Play brand everywhere else currently.
You will adjust to the new rubber and if you keep them clean, they should always play close to the same.
Quoted from awesome1:You will adjust to the new rubber and if you keep them clean, they should always play close to the same.
I think I’m already adjusting
I just put up a new top score tonight, and I was able to get 3 gems. Not saying much, but for me it’s a big win! Dang that Iron Man multiball couldn’t keep up. I was killing shots. Wish I had recorded that! The auto launch was popping and there weren’t even balls in there. Crazy!
Yeah just took a few plays to get used to it!

I did, just last night. Link in the next post.
