Just put Slingshot power to 30 and can confirm that it helps against the drains

For me 30 was awful, but 35 is actually quite alright.

I just got this game last week but wow, it's good. Like really good. Most of my games are under 100 mil but I've had a few where things really click in the 350 mil range. Once you get a few gems and start a multiball, what a rush!

You are a LOT more patient than me, haha. I decided I wanted this game last Sunday , was playing today. Think I got lucky tho. Few left from the last run.

made me curious so I looked it up- I placed my order on September 19th

Had my Premium for a week and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out out to switch gems to another avenger? There's nothing on the back glass or the playfield that indicates that I'm cycling through Avengers? I can use the left and right buttons and select with the action button, but have no idea what I'm doing? Can somebody point me in the right direction or give me an idea of what to look for? (Admittedly, I'm still figuring out the gems and where to place them. Right now, I'm mostly trying to shoot lit shots.). Thanks!

Well it's not often done. You get the gem, then shoot the avenger to lock it in in, then there it sits. This is why strategerie in where you place it is important.
There is a red insert to "change gem" or some shit on the Ant Man scoop that will allow you like 10 seconds to place all the gems in whatever order you want.

Now, there is also a gem that power is allowing you to change gem location. How does that work, that's a good question I'd like to know the answer to. I don;t usually go after that one.

EDIT: So you complete the blue gem that allows you to complete a lit shot using the action button. You then place it in whichever shot you hit next, and then hitting the action button will complete that one shot.

Have a weird issue or I’m losing my mind so asking on this one. I had an issue tonight with random rebooting of my pin when it sat idle in attract mode or when I’d leave the service menu it would hang and restart. So I pulled the SD card out and programmed a brand new one and installed it. That definitely fixed the reboot issue and game is back to playing great. My question is this - the new video and sound that plays in code 1.0 when the pin boots up plays fine with audio the first time but after that when it gets to that video again there’s no sounds and I swear it worked before I swapped out the SD card. I’ve changed the setting in the menu to play sound when the video is running and it does play when I turn the pin off and on but that’s the only time. Can someone else confirm if that’s normal or should it always play the sound when that video runs? Thanks.

Great to see lots of Premiums getting out into the world so more people can experience this masterpiece.

Looking for some help.

Right orbit shots that don’t have enough speed to make it to pops or blank panther return down the right orbit and end up center draining. Looks like most games have the ball return to the right flipper. I’m not sure what to adjust to help prevent the center drains

The sound only plays every 30 attract loops when the attract audio parameter is enabled.

There's a "blood groove" at the end of the plastic tray (exit) to stop the ball from stopping before it gets to the VUK to get out. There's also updated linkage so the fingers don't get hung up.

any chance you know the part number for the updated subway? My distributor only has the original ones, and they're all the same.

not sure they are pointless, I have seen broken plastics on many machines. you can do with yours what you want right? just trying to take care of it that is all.
We will see if they are useless or not, it is just a hobby, you learn by trying things and maybe your experience will change your opinion over time.
what is really funny is that I was not going to do any of this, but this morning I dropped a post all the way back into the PF, the only way t get to it was by removing a ramp, at that point I said 'F this, I am doing the PF protector then' lol and here I am, 12 hours later still going at it.
At the end of this am I getting a diploma or something?

If you read earlier posts from myself in this thread, i also installed the PF protector. A member told me to remove it, but i didn't want to.
However i removed it later and it solved alot of issues like strange ball behaviour and airballs. I know it was alot of work...

I think you did good by getting one of the latest run games. I like to read up on potential issues with games I buy so I know how to easily fix them should my game do the same things.

Subway is the revised one already, my game already had washer under the ant man ramp, etc. Beautiful game

Mine actually hits a rubber and bounces to the left flipper, like a short plunge on JP. Is this the correct behavior or should the ball be returning to the right flipper?

Get rid of that playfield protector makes most games play like ass! Agree that plastic protectors can help, certainly saves you spending $200 on a new plastic set.

But I don’t understand why yours are the exact same size as the factory plastics? That’s not going to protect anything, it just means the plastic will break and the protector won’t if the ball hits them right on the edge, any good plastic protector should over hand the original plastic slightly.

Change Gems is lit by collecting all Avengers and also from a grid award. When you hit change gems, you have to watch the gem inserts in front of the shots. One will light at a time, move it to the Avenger you want to have it with your flipper buttons, lock it in with the action button. Then the next one will light, etc. You get very little time to do this, and they will be assigned randomly if you do not get it done in time.

The Space Gem (purple) also has the power to move the gems. After hitting the shot it is placed on, you have three seconds to hit the action button. One hit shifts all gems over one place to the right. If the Space Gem is on a level 1 Avenger, you can hit the button twice for two moves. On a level 2 Avenger, you can move three.

Havent actually tried on mine but had similar issue on left orbit of Elvira. Take off enough plastic to where you can see where the orbit rail is attached to the playfield. Hopefully the "hole" is slotted where you can loosen the screw and adjust the metal guide rail in or out.

Let me know if this isnt making sense, and Ill try and get you a picture.

So been watching some of my favorite movie while I'm cranking out all the CM ramp fixes. And have been noticing a common building that shows up in them and I felt ....wouldn't that be cool to integrate along was address some of the black widow ramp issues. This is a very raw prototype and I am still weeks away from releasing, let me know what you guys think
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

This looks cool! Are the building sides going to go down so it looks like it's on the ground versus floating around the ramp entrance? I'd love an effect similar to your Pym building where the balls pass through a "complete" building.

Yeah I extended them down ....also extended the top to get away for that squished look

#5870 3 years ago
Quoted from Jediturtle:

... If the Space Gem is on a level 1 Avenger, you can hit the button twice for two moves. On a level 2 Avenger, you can move three.

Nice. You can look for the small number over the gem whihc will tell you how many uses it has. This is only for the button activated gems though.

#5871 3 years ago

Code recommendation, maybe a bug? Would be nice if binary hurry up paused when a ball is not in play (I.e. portal lock on premium, subway pass through mode is my setting). If stern is listening, thanks!

#5872 3 years ago
Quoted from tdiddy:

Yeah I extended them down ....also extended the top to get away for that squished look

I agree, I could get into this one @tdiddy. Any chance you have considered fitting a Pym building for a Pro? I know there isn’t a VUK ramp for it to fit over, but it’s such a great looking mod it would be a shame not to be able to have it on my Pro somehow.

#5873 3 years ago

So the right return on the Pro has a single 3/4" rubber stretched between the two posts which allows the ball to roll right by. The Prem/LE has a 3/16" on each post which makes them stick out and the ball gets a random bounce every time it rolls down the right lane guide.

Solved: Make sure the side rail is bent so it is in line with the rubber. Mine from factory was pushed in causing ver random bounces.

[quoted image]

It's my understanding that the Prem is meant to catch that rubber to send it towards the left flipper, the Pro is meant to miss the rubber allowing it to continue to the right flipper. Not sure of the reasoning behind this, but it has come direct from Stern.

FWIW on my Pro it comes down and triggers the right slingshot every time.

I finally printed out the 25 page Stern rule sheet. (It sure looks colorful.)

Since Mind Stone Quest is the first Quest described, I am trying to play this quest first to understand it. Thankfully I am no longer flailing and understand what I have to do and have succeeded a few times.

In a few days, I will choose the next one to learn and so on.

It will take me longer to understand how to play them in the best order and achieve other goals to be more powerful or have more capabilities.

It would be nice if Stern could add the ability to play one of the 6 stone quests as part of the menu selection where you can play the DJ Mixer or Battle Royale. It would be a great training and learning experience.

A few pages back I showed this. While replacing my rubbers on my Premium with blue super bands, I did not have any 3/16" blue rubbers, so I tried 5/16" blue rubbers. This sent the ball mostly into the left lower drop target or towards the left outlane. Not very good.

I replaced the original 3/16" rubbers which nicely guides the ball to the left flipper just below the center of the flipper.

I don't mind the sound as it is unique so if you hear it you can see what your RPM was. Maybe it is a coincidence but I don't hear it too much after I set a high RPM. So hopefully it's a adapting sound threshold.

Does it bug anyone that the announcer refers to them as infinity stones, but the modes are called gem (not stone) quests?

Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:

Not so much annoy as just noticeable that there isn't any continuity between the movie names for the gems ("stones") and the comic book name for the gems - mainly - they are gems. The movies of course, stand as movies and the particular gems were altered (aether, etc) and it is what it is.

Could they have spent a little more time making it uniform - like either going all out stones or gems, yes.

It is like throwing in Adam Warlock's picture because he was a primary character in the comic book storyline and as of yet we have no idea where he is in the game - if at all. Maybe we will see him in a code update. Would be nice.

In the cosmic pinball scheme of things - is this any different though from many other pinball themed machines where there is just stuff there that doesn't make sense? Not really. We just are deep into the storylines and it tends to bug us. There are worse first world problems.

It seems like there is one generic call out that says "entrust an avenger with the infinity stone" and then there are specific ones that say "choose an avenger to entrust the space gem to". Maybe just remove the generic one from rotation and problem solved?

#5888 3 years ago

Gems are stones. Synonyms help break up monotony in speech.

Lol, I alternately call them stones and gems when I talk about them so I guess to me the callouts seem normal

Does anyone else think that more could be done with the Avengers levels power-up perks? Adding 2x scoring on several of the Avengers seems like they just couldn't think of anything else as a perk. For example, Black Panther level 1 adds +3 seconds to combo timer (this is a good reason to level up BP), and level 2 just adds 2x scoring...whereas Captain America (one of the harder shots) simply adds 2x scoring for pops and then 2x scoring for lane...this is quite boring...I hate to embarrass myself for making a suggestion that leveling up CA could be much more lucrative. Also, what is the deal with BW level 1, is it 2x THOR letters (Tilt rulesheet) or redo Hawkeye challenge (from Stern rulebook, kind of boring perk), I think Stern rulebook also calls 'sanctum' 'asylum' once too, haha (wait, is there an asylum?)

What about something like this...
BW: Level 1 - light THOR 2x letters for short time
Level 2 - in addition to level 1; +2x scoring; +start a CM hurry-up (almost the same)
BP: Keep it the same
Hulk: Level 1 - 2x Hulk Rampage + Rage spinner enabled
Level 2 - 2x spinner and lane scoring; +Hulk smash computer (light all four corners of computer grid for a short time to collect)
IM: Level 1 - Delay mini-wizard modes until action button is hit (if space or mind gems are collected, that takes president)
Level 2 - 2x Arc and multi-ball scoring
CA: Level 1 - 2x scoring on pops and 2x scoring CA lane
Level 2 - in addition to level 1; +1-2 sec. added to ball save timer
THOR: Keep it the same (what exactly is super slings?)

I like the idea of getting the mini-wizard modes ready, but being able to delay them (see IM levels above);

Also, I like the idea of Soul Gem being a little more randomized...or maybe the shot moves every 10 flips or something or maybe it's based on the shots you have hit earlier in the game (most hit -to- least hit)? Not for Tournament play.

Don't get me wrong, I'm loving this game, just want to make leveling up the Avengers a little more perk-y.

Ha, yeah, the current rules just aren’t complex enough.
But really, it probably comes down to balancing the rules/awards, and what KME wanted as the Rules/awards

DP is a great game. Also, you can't go wrong with any Elwin game really... If you like AIQ then you'll love IMDN and JP. Everything this guy touches is gold. He's the true GOAT.

Metallica, ACDC Pre, IMDN? (Would say JP but a little bit similar to AIQ). Would take all of those over DP. Personally I’d go Met - great combo with AIQ.
