Quoted from sleethering:

Wow.. BMX! I love those Hardbody/D&D style outlane diverters.

Yeah with the shortish lower PF on BMX you gotta be ready to use those diverters...ball comes quick at them.

Quoted from cfh:

Those gloves are exactly right for "the law"... He has magnets in them!

Those are the kids versions of my gloves...come on people.

#110 3 years ago
Quoted from cfh:

Wiley has anti magnets apparently

Anytime you want to go ahead and put DMDs back in the league, be my guest

Quoted from smokey_789:

Do you ever SLEEP

On his throne when he gets tired of whipping the help

Stars Pheonix really captures the essence of what Zaccaria was all aboot.
The classic excitement you get heading to the transsexual casino to shoot dice with Katy Perry & Howdy Doody, and then bowl a few frames. I mean, what could possibly make more sense than that?
I heard if you hit the progressive carribean bowling jackpot Mr. Peanut gives you a handy-J

Saturday is SOLD OUT...better get them other day tix!

Quoted from MrBally:

Obviously, you've never been to Sunset Station in Henderson, or the Grand Sierra (formerly Bally's)in Reno ....

Ahhh...That's why they call you Mr Bally.

#160 3 years ago

Jesus Christ it's bad enough we have all these DE & Segas and now people want to bring god awful Gottleibs?!?

#163 3 years ago
Quoted from amkoepfer:

Hell ya! The more gottliebs the better!

I don't remember seeing that motto anywhere at the VFW

#168 3 years ago
Quoted from amkoepfer:

Well then it should be! Is the stargate still at vfw? Freddy? Get a gew more system 3s and can have a system 3 championship!

We play a cute game there; when no one is around I roll those games outside and hope that it rains. Those games really are the bottom of the barrel.

Quoted from cfh:

I agree class of 1812 is a difficult game to find. I've been looking for one for years without success.

That's cause I buy them as soon as they come up and light them on fire

Quoted from cfh:

... What only because there's no dumpster?

I wouldn't expend that much energy lifting it in to a dumpster.

Quoted from amkoepfer:

Ive only played freddy once, and was not impressed. ...Its april, a good month if youre experimenting with rain and gottliebs. Odds are in your favor

Freddy is top 5 worst games ever created...it really is. I DISPISE SG, but at least it has ramps and a purpose to it. 1812 is horrendous, but it has an interesting art idea. There is nothing in Freddy that is any fun to play in any way.

#175 3 years ago
Quoted from amkoepfer:

Clay, if i ever decide to sell it ill let you know.

Call me first please, I'll give you $100 more

#179 3 years ago
Quoted from cfh:

oh please... you think all 300+ games got there for $100 or less? really??

It would be 400+ games by now if there wasn't a piece of worthless shit ID4 taking up space FOR 5 GODDAMN WEEKS.

#181 3 years ago

I'll scat play it

Them Canadian guys are always tailgating just fine.

Quoted from vid1900:

Probably the best food nearby is at Weber's Inn.
Actual food fit for humans, and it's only 31 minutes away in a city called Ann Arbor.

Haha I knew you'd love that place...such the old peoples hang out

if people are looking for Cow to eat, Knights Steakhouse is the place to go.

Heavy poors and the best beef in town. There are plenty of places to buy steaks at 2 to 3x thee price, but of course they buy all their beef from Knights. The Jackson location is more towny, and the downtown is newer and hipper. And next to Takashi Yagihashi's Slurping Turtle.

Quoted from nsduprr:

However some smuck truck driver knocked down the 8 Mile Road bridge over US-23,...

Oh is that what happened?

#233 3 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

If I wanted to eat with a bunch of clowns, I could go to Outback.

Oh don't worry, we actually just got a Texas Roadhouse here recently. Boy I used to think Outback was full of clowns too...jesus this place is a saddle riding nightmare.

Quoted from nsduprr:

Well, technically MDOT knocked down the bridge. The truck driver just F***ed-up the steel underneath.

Ahhh thanks. One day it was just gone and I didn't know if it was the usual construction shananigins.

#235 3 years ago
Quoted from NicoVolta:

Never eaten there before, but I strive mightily to avoid these types of cheeky chain dining establishments. Could it be worse than those Harley-Davidson theme restaurants? What do they serve there? Tanned leather steaks? Quaker State oil milkshakes?
OK, joke time aside, I will be at the Ann Arbor shindig a few days early. Planning to see Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum... and... uh... hmmmm. Not really into the touristy stuff. Anything fun going on up there midweek?

Well the best part of Texas Roadass is they've invented a really awesome one of a kind app, the "Cactus Blossom." What they do, is cut an onion so it spreads out and then they deep fry the WHOLE THING...OMG it was amazing and so original.
But anyway the ONLY good thing is free peanuts in shells there and you can throw the shells on the ground like a slob...and that's the "only good thing." If it's your birthday, they bring a frikkin saddle out and you have to get on it while everyone yells or spits on you or something...garenteed to have 9th birthdays a day in that place....but I shit I don't have you tell you your from Texas!

I don't know what there could be to do around here that a big city wouldn't have...Other than like sports and junk...Tigers game. Or head into Detroit and eat some coneys.

#238 3 years ago
Quoted from NicoVolta:

Hahahahaaa people still sell those things?

Yes, Outback right next door with their "Bloomin' Onion."

Quoted from vid1900:

They probably have to keep a stock of body bags in the back for all the kids who have nut allergies these days.

Huh...yeah I didn't even think of that...NO WONDER THAT MEAT WAS SO CHEAP!

#282 3 years ago
Quoted from Shannyman:

About how far is 23 exit from 14 exit

Probably 4 miles. It's the only way to get to 23 so it will be easily identified...Ann Arbor isn't that big to go around.

#286 3 years ago
Quoted from MrBally:

Eight miles. But, depending on time of day, traffic, etc. Follow an on-line navigation system that may offer a faster, more direct detour.

Looks like Coming from West you could get off on ZEEB road and avoid the hub bub...which I would do thinking of it now.
Good point as that 23 redirect can be a disaster

Quoted from MiSC90:

The Hobbit has been confirmed and will arrive for the show.

ok I'm OUT

#320 3 years ago
Quoted from bangerjay:

Any chance predator will make it to the show?

1000% no.

#333 3 years ago

Whole lot of Zaccarias back there

#342 3 years ago

Can't wait for the EM world champs that includes a bunch of SS machines!!! WOOT!

#345 3 years ago
Quoted from RyanClaytor:

First of all, I'd be interested to hear about other Pinsiders who will be participating in the VFW EM Tourny this Friday. I'm in (for my FIRST tournament EH-varrrr)! Really excited to try my hand at competition and help round-out the bottom of the pack.

Just try not to let the mind games get to you.

Quoted from MrBally:

What door prizes will you have for this "launch party"? Are staff technicians eligible for them?

Dominoes pizza He doesn't know what a damn launch party is

#353 3 years ago
Quoted from dfsays:

Is AMH going to make an appearance? Still haven't saw one of those in the wild or at a show yet.

I haven't heard anything...I have never played it either.

#355 3 years ago

That a newwwwwwb game man!

#362 3 years ago
Quoted from Jjsmooth:

Nobody ever really answered the food at show availability....Wondering if we need to bring stuff.

Yes there's general hot dogs and stuff like said above...and within a half mile there;'s McDonalds, Arby's, & BK for quick fueling.

#385 3 years ago
Quoted from Pontiac-Pinball:

Who won the " EM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP " Pics too please

Wiley for the 2nd year in a row. Trent 2nd

#427 3 years ago
Quoted from nsduprr:

I did speak with the gentleman whom I had an issue with and apologized face to face a few hours later.

Yeah you shouldn't have grabbed his ass like that...but hey it's a pinball show that's gonna happen

OK I'm frikkin tired now.

#440 3 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

1 suggestion for next year. EM tourney, please make it swiss style (1x play 1x, 2x play 2x, noX play noX) Not much fun pulling Todd and Trent to ensure 2 strikes

The only thing that should be done Swiss Style is skiing and hot Chocolate. The point of a random draw, is a random draw.

#442 3 years ago
Quoted from MrBally:

It's not like anyone broke a piece of playfield glass or something

I had never broke a glass before; I knew it was coming at some point. So I did it in front of 300 people.

It's called showmanship people.

#445 3 years ago
Quoted from metallik:

Bah, todd sux, that's no excuse trent can be beaten as well...

And it's already mostly EMs which are way more a coin flip to begin with.

#449 3 years ago
Quoted from yancy:

Time for a third building?

When we were building the Annex, well when the men were building it and I was watching, I knew it wasn't big enough then.
It's never enough!!!

#467 3 years ago
Quoted from robotron911:

I'd like to know just how far off I am from the skills of some of the regulars there (I do own the GC on RFM, it's still there from last year).

OK I'll play it next time I'm there and see what happens.

#485 3 years ago
Quoted from cfh:

not sure what surprises are going down for next year's show. i doubt russian pinballs are in the mix though...

Well they're better than 90s gottleibs
