Quoted from goatdan:It doesn't insult anything else. I'd that makes it giddy and goofy, hell, I'll take it.
Seriously, if you try it, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how people change their perception. As for preorders, I seriously talk with anyone who wants, if you'd like I have some tips about how preorders work best with us.... Email or call me in two weeks and a day (after mgc is over) and I'll share ideas.
I know this may be hard to believe, but the only reason I do the mgc is because of the love of gaming. Due to that, I'd rather share what I know so that more incredible things, including your show, can be huge successes and we can continue the love of pinball for many many events, whatever their ultimate goal.
If that's giddy or goofy, it's just me. Clay, your show and facilities are great! Just focus on that. Giddy and goofy sells tickets.
My take. I've met and talked to Clay a few times. I don't think he'd remember me but I found that he comes across as passionate, direct and opinionated. Let's all remember that the chip on his shoulder (if it's perceived that way) comes from incidents like the jagoff that posted the infamous PORNO PU**Y AND BEER ad on Craigslist that got his "Tilt Town" venue shut down. Clay also pulled his guides down after finding out that more people were stealing than paying for them. I'm sure the list goes on for him but those are two that come to my mind.
I was one of the early donors to the VFW and believe it or not still haven't made it over. Someday I will. It really is the best collection of machines around. Also, the Pinball Ninja website is excellent for guys like me who fix machines and I'm sure it's a lot of work for him.
We're also lucky for all the other shows that keep our hobby alive. I'm heavily involved with PATZ and want to check out MGC someday as well. I've heard good things!!
