Wow. Such hate for Outback! I actually think they have pretty good prime rib.
Looking forward to going to my first VFW show.
As I happily informed my wife that the VFW show is next weekend (have tickets for Saturday) she reminded me that I'm in Germany next week for business and won't get back into Detroit until 1pm Saturday. Soo... I'll be the jet lagged guy trying to play pinball. No way I'm gonna miss this entirely!

I have been to the Outback in Brighton many times, no problems.
Red Robin ordered Bacon cheeseburger well done: the burger and the bacon.
FAIL they just don't know what well done means

Someone dropped off a couple EM projects already for sale at the VFW. A Williams Honey and a Gottlieb Magnatron.
Just heard from the boss man Clay...the show is now completely SOLD OUT for all three days.
As posted before, there will be NO door sales the days of the show.
Thank you everyone for supporting the show! See you next week end!

I'll have a few of the stern sized run-dmd clock kits available for sale at the show. I'll also have a few stern displays available for those that want to purchase a kit but do not have the appropriate display to put into the kit.

I will be onsite all three days selling my pinball photography prints which can be viewed here.
https://www.facebook.com/PinballPrints/?fref=ts
I am also offering several concert photos I personally shot of various rock and metal acts. Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Queensryche, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ted Nugent, Megadeth, Motorhead, Steve Vai, and much more.
You can see a sample of my concert shots here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1420309511612929.1073741908.100009016807719&type=1&l=037498edb6
If you browse my photo albums under my profile you will find a bunch more artists to choose from. The concert photo prints are only printed to order so please message me if you want something printed and brought to the show.
All the prints I will have at the show are 11" x 14" on high quality glossy photo paper and will be priced at $15 each. Same price for the concert photo prints. Custom sizes of my prints are available. I have a local printer who can turn an order around in less than 24 hours.
I just had a 5' tall print of this Rob Zombie shot done for Ron Shuster in PA.

Crazy-good price... game looks practically perfect from here.
I'm also looking for a Sunday ticket.
I went thru paypal a while back to get my ticket but something failed and there isn't a receipt =(
Another heads up for those going to the show.
Highway M-14 is CLOSED between I-94 and US-23.
Plan to go around, one way or another.

Quoted from Shannyman:About how far is 23 exit from 14 exit
Probably 4 miles. It's the only way to get to 23 so it will be easily identified...Ann Arbor isn't that big to go around.
Quoted from Shannyman:About how far is 23 exit from 14 exit
Eight miles. But, depending on time of day, traffic, etc. Follow an on-line navigation system that may offer a faster, more direct detour.
Thx guys. I know last year my gps took me on 14. I'm not that familiar with Detroit area. So thx again

Looks like Coming from West you could get off on ZEEB road and avoid the hub bub...which I would do thinking of it now.
Good point as that 23 redirect can be a disaster
as rob stated, zeeb is a good exit to avoid the mess that is currently the season michigan is experiencing (construction)
coming from the west on I-94, zeeb road is exit 169
if you're coming from the east, you can still take I-94 or M-14 to US-23 north and then exit at M-36 west (exit 54b, I believe). immediately head north at the light on whitmore lake road (just west of US-23, aka old US-23) which runs parallel to the actual interstate) for about a mile and then turn left (west) onto spicer road. the VFW is about 1.5 miles down the road on the north side
Coming from the east is no problem, M14 is open and then 23 north to exit 54b.
Coming from the west down i94 you can't take M14 (at least not easily). I mean you can get off at Miller road and drive into town and back on M14 and up 23 north. that does work.
But like others have said i like the Zeeb road "back roads" way to the Vfw.
I'm due to fly up this afternoon. Gonna explore the city a bit and then do Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum on Wednesday.
After that... er... hmmmm. Not sure.
For pinball, make sure to hit up Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor. They have most of the recent Sterns in LE form.

For culture, a great place to visit is the Henry Ford Museum (especially if you're a car guy);
