Get Hyped!! We're less than 45 days away from another Southern-Fried Gaming Expo (SFGE) in Atlanta, GA! Join us July 19-21 for our 11th annual event full of family-friendly fun at the Cobb Galleria Centre and Renaissance Waverly Hotel with hundreds of pinball and arcade games on free play. As always, we have a TON of great pinball content planned for the weekend including:

    - Representation from major pinball companies including Jersey Jack, Spooky, and Stern
    - Tons of vendors that include pinball-focused dealers
    - Sunday flea market filled with great deals
    - A slew of competitive pinball tournaments we just posted here: https://gameatl.com/southern-fried-pinball-tournaments/.
    - But wait...there is more! Honestly, one of the BEST things about SFGE is the amount and variety of stuff we offer in addition to pinball: tabletop gaming, wrestling, live music, panels, vintage computer festival, hot pepper-eating contest, movies, and more. Your weekend will be absolutely packed with fun!

If you're looking for the biggest and best show in the Southeast, this is it! If you're coming to the show, be sure to sound off below! Check out our hype video below and I hope to see you there! https://www.GameATL.com

Will any vendors be bringing anti-reflective glass to the show?

    #6 88 days ago

    Who’s bring what to sell?

Jason at Classic Game Rooms sent out a customer email that he'll be brining Invisiglass. He's taking reservations by phone and email if you know for-sure that you want some.

I am hoping someone brings some of the older Spooky titles like Alice Cooper, Total Nuclear Annihilation, or Rick and Morty. I've only had a chance to play TNA twice and the others would be fun to try.

I believe this does not include games being brought by Marco or some distributers. Noticeably absent is @americanpinball. Hope they make a better showing than last year.

Looking forward to it!! It's my favorite event of the summer. I remember going to the very first SFGE.

    #14 84 days ago

Hate that I even have to make this post, but there have been some rumblings from certain podcasters and forum users. Here you go:

***Official SFGE Announcement to Game Bringers & Attendees**

Hi Everyone. We wanted to put some fears to rest. As you may or may not know, there have been some concerns about our event being under threat from the Georgia Lottery Commission who manages licensure of coin operated amusement machines (COAM). Whatever rumors you've been hearing on podcasts or reading on forums are unfounded and our event is NOT in danger of being shut down, your games are not at risk of being seized, nor do either game bringers or SFGE require a master license to exhibit games.

We spoke directly with the Georgia Lottery Commission who assured us that because we are a once-per-year, *private*, pop-up event and NOT a static location, the licensing requirements do not apply to the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo.

We hope this official word from SFGE and the GLC clears away any worry you might have had about bringing your games to the show or attending the event in general. With less than a month until our 11th-annual event, we look forward to seeing you soon!

    *****

That being said, have you submitted your games yet?

I played Jaws Pro at My Parents Basement a couple weeks ago and was impressed. I'm interested in playing it again as well as head to head vs the Premium to see how the extra playfield changes the game.

I was hoping to get my Night Rider shopped and ready to be on the show floor and sell, but I didn't end up with any free time to handle it. Maybe next year.

    #18 80 days ago

I have a couple of backglasses gathering dust that I can bring if someone needs them:

Target Alpha. $150 obo. This is a really nice fairly recent remake with beautiful bright colors and just a few small dings (9-9.5 condition)

Sky Jump. $125 obo. This is a very presentable original with nice colors, slight cracking and small flaking (8-8.5 condition)

Also, I can bring items from the Space Coast Pinball store. IM me if you want something and I will bring it. No shipping and 15% show discount. Pay when you get the item.

I can bring a pretty nice Pinball Magic. Let me know if you are interested!

This is a great deal if you can swing it. Save hundreds off the NIB price plus NO SHIPPING charges either. You can even work to arrive early and unbox your game yourself in most instances. If you're on the fence for a new pin, this is the best deal going!

8 Ball is a great EM game and that one looks really nice! Its amazing how they incorporated the rules of 8 Ball into a two player game so nicely for a game designed in 1966! People pick up on the rules really fast and it is a fun head to head game that attracts people who aren't normally EM players. GLWTS!

Why isn’t the show posted on the Pinside “Events” list?

    #30 73 days ago

I'm bringing Funhouse for another shot in the ring this year. And Simpsons Pinball Party will be returning this year as well... I just installed a cointaker LED kit into it so it looks way better than the "random bulbs" that were in it back when I purchased it.

Just gotta get my transportation sorted out.... hopefully I can get my lil TDI wagon fixed up so I can tow with it.... turbo ain't boosting.

I am thinking about bringing a 14 foot enclosed trailer single axle. Will there be a place to park as it looks like everything is parking garages from the diagram of convention center. This is my first time attending…thx!

This is what I got sent from SFGE. Hope it helps.

    Parking for game transport vehicles
Large Vehicles, Box Trucks, and Trucks with Trailers are not permitted to park in the hotel parking lot. Any vehicle that
would take up more than a single parking spot should utilize the assigned Truck/trailer parking garage. Upon unloading, a
Parking/Traffic Coordination Trooper will collect your contact information and provide you a Parking ID to place on your
    dashboard when parking.
NEW FOR 2024: We will be utilizing the bottom level of the Green Deck parking garage for trucks/trailer.
Additionally, there will be a Parking Deck Attendant Trooper that will be verifying only SFGE game bringers are utilizing
    the spaces provided to us.
If your single-parking-spot-sized vehicle is carrying a trailer, please drop the trailer in the assigned Truck/Trailer parking
garage and park your vehicle in the hotel parking lot or other normal parking spots to best utilize the limited space we
    have been provided.

We are going. Heading to Atlanta in about 2 hours with the family. Hopefully the CrowdStrike / Microsoft issue this morning doesn't impact the event.
