Quoted from biglaw:Got my secret santa package today. From pinball life. Not sure how long I can wait suspense is growing. Iam sure it will be good. Thanks Santa.
LOL open it! You know you can’t wait it out.
Gobble gobble fellow Santa Pinsiders!
May today be filled with joy and laughter. Eat until you’re full and drink until you fall!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Something to keep in mind… on the profile, where it says favorite games, that doesn’t mean the person has that game or that it actually is a favorite. That is just based on games the person has rated. For example, I do not like Gorgar, but I have played it and rated it. Now it shows as a favorite.
So, when stalking profiles, unless the "favorite" is also in the person's collection, I wouldn’t go by that. And, read the actual review before getting a present based on "favorites".
And to follow that, Wishlists are a useful clue. Also check the Pinside marketplace to see what your person has sold to be sure you don't get parts to a pin they no longer have.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American buddies and expats like me who still celebrate
Best thread of the year every year.
Today it begins for my daughter(7) and I. We are researching and deciding what to buy. This is her third year helping, but this year she is taking the reins a little more which is cool. To whoever gave us gifts last year thank you again. Last year really helped my daughter’s enthusiasm/excitement to give for the sake of giving.
Side note. The fried chicken ice cream bucket situation. This is the greatest gift I could ever get my brother in law. Going to find and order that today if I can.

Yes I totally hate Ghostbusters because of game play but I gave it high scores for theme,art,toys...so it shows as a favorite but there's no way I'll play one even on freeplay unless it gets picked in a tournament.

What I'm reading into this is 'Gorgar is my favorite'! Lol
Some nice gift ideas out there for your SS!

No, it’s a poor game liked by some only because it was one of the first talkies. It is a drain down the middle game. Wouldn’t put a dime into it.
“Me Gorgar. Me sucks.”
Quoted from waymon:My SS was super private. Collection not public, posts didn’t really help lead in a direction, Facebook is private, etc etc…. Fingers crossed my gift hits home.
There's always fruitcake in a can.. just saying!

A private fruitcake.
Fruitcake is for people on Santa's Naughty list. THen again, being so private is naughty. Fruitcake!

Some fruitcakes are bad. Some are good. Some are really good.

The fudge is next to none but the fruitcake isn't so bad ...

If you're in Rockwall, you are not far from Mary of Puddin' Hill. It's too bad they shut down their store. You could sample theirs and see that it has more nuts (Texas pecans) and none of the fruit people don't like.
Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana is a close second.
My fruitcake memories. When I was a kid you'd search the freezer around may or June for leftover Christmas snacks. When you couldn't find any more butter tarts, shortbread or rum balls there would be that fruitcake wrapped in a sticky webbing staring at you. You ask yourself, do I really want touch it? Then you slice off a chunk, eat it, think that wasn't so bad, go back for another one then don't think about fruitcake again till next spring. And mom of course did the rum soaked fruitcake.
Received the first thing for my guy. Got a pretty cool idea for the other part. Hopefully it turns out ok.
Also, wish I knew if he was a drinker. Oh well, will probably be sending some local beer his way.

Good thing that some things are always a hit in the game room.
I didn't give up much info for mine either, although I'm pretty public with my presence here.
I have no idea if my outbound gift will be super well received but it went out today. Would have liked to have been able to go way above and beyond but I sent something I'm pretty sure he'll be happy to use. Utility over all, I guess.
Quoted from Axaios:Just finished it.
There is an empty spot, waiting for a gift

I like the way you think, leave a spot under the tree. Me I left a vacant spot in the pin lineup!!! lol of course

How do you send beer in the mail this time of the year without fear of it freezing and exploding?!? (In the great white north)

Just got notification that the last of my booty will arrive at the beginning of the week. Can't wait to get these in the mail. I live alone and don't do a tree, but after seeing all these pictures I'm thinking this year I might just.Merry-flippen Christmas everyone!
We started putting out our Christmas decorations last night, and one of the first out of the box was my USB-powered snowman from my last year's Secret Santa. Thank you again, Santa! The snowman will light up our counter all holiday (and is guarding the Clorox wipes which aren't quite as important as they were in 2020...)
(Pardon the mess)
