Vegas has been around long enough and been successful enough, they should have lost a player, too. Fucking Bettman blows

#94 2 years ago
Quoted from ImNotNorm:

Apparently Fleury found out he got traded to Chicago via TSN's Twitter account. And didn't hear from the Vegas GM for hours after finding out publicly that he was traded.
And the minor leaguer that was traded is staying with Chicago's AHL team. Wtf?
And the rumour is now he is contemplating retirement.
Maybe as a FU for being railroaded by Vegas??

Fuck Vegas. Fuck Bettman

Crosby out 6 weeks with wrist surgery
Malkin out indefinitely with knee
Letang pulled his vagina and return uncertain

Quoted from meSz:

Where you reading this info? I see ....
Crosby - Expected to be out until at least Oct 23
Malkin - Questionable for start of season (this is a shame as Malkin really only shines anymore when Crosby is out)
LeTang - As much as I criticized him the past several years I thought LeTang played pretty well second half of the season. Being his last year on his contract I'd expect a big year for him. He recently advised the Penguins he has no desire to go elsewhere.

Crosby...November...Malkin....December...Letang...

I don’t think getting crosby and Malkin back is gonna make a difference with these pens....it’s been a helluva run. Looking forward to them going bankrupt again in a few years and threatening to leave the ‘burgh ..only to get another number one draft pick phenom who will once more save the Penguins and keep them in town. That seems to be the cycle for the franchise.

Quoted from meSz:

What happened to you? You're the one that gave me Scheisse about saying the same thing the past few years!!!!!!
Keep in mind that the Pens are without Crosby, Malkin, Dumoulin and they just got back LeTang and Rust. Pettersson has also just cleared Covid.
Pens only have 3 reg loses (man I hate the way the NHL does this) and are 8 points out of first.
Drink!

Touché!!

Quoted from Canuck_pinhead:

What's his history with his soccer team and baseball team? Did he invest in the team heavily... or sell off parts?

Invest heavily....Red Sox won World Series again and Liverpool won their league after he bought them. I, for one, am not digging the fact that LeBron James is part of the investment group....keep the politics away from the pens, please!

Pens have more SOG or turnovers?

They had more hits than SOG! Very un-penlike

Happy w the last 2 games w Boudreau behind the bench for the last 2 games..he’s a funny guy, and has brought a breath of fresh air to the town. Think I’m happy w the signing of Jim Rutherford as president today. Guy has lots of experience, and 3 cups to his resume. Hopefully he brings in a good gm to town here in Vancouver..

Hopefully he goes out and gets Zucker from Pittsburgh. He really likes that guy, and its already time for a change of scenery for the Zuc!

Quoted from bjab:

I'm not as happy with the new ESPN subscription compared to the NHL subscription as in the past.

ESPN only wanted to drive more revenue for themselves by forcing fans to buy the ESPN+ app/package.

ESPN app BLOWS compared to NHL app. When joining a game in progress, there is no way to have the game scores hidden. (maybe there is a way, but I havent found it yet). Used to get the pregame and postgame local shows. ESPN? No dice. The players are all Bettman's bitches....he's doing same thing he did to NBA. Sanitize and commercialize. ESPN is sinister

#487 2 years ago

I would pay three times the cost of monthly Espn plus subscription to have my old NHL app package back

Geno! Geno! Geno!

#586 2 years ago
Quoted from meSz:

Blitz you may not want to read this next part ..... LeTang have been playing solid. He'll always have his LeTank moments on D but I think he's been solid and playing his best hockey since his surgery!

See…there’s where you err’d… I agree, Letang is having a great season with Rierden. But you can’t mention it or acknowledge it out loud. Did you see him and Dumoulin get schooled last night to make the game 4-2 off the faceoff 10 seconds after going down 3-2?

PS… Geno is fully back with the dumb penalty

Quoted from TheLaw:

Way to start the 3rd; 3 GA in 90 seconds
Here comes the Malkin Slump?

Kings looked better than any other team the pens have played in the past month. When it was 1-1, it felt like pens were losing by 2 or 3. I realized that the way the Kings were playing is what all teams in the NHL playoffs will be playing like every game, and my early January visions of one more storybook cup win quickly were put in check. Jarry kept that game from being 10-2.

Then I remember that rust, heinen, mcginn, and Zucker didn’t play and the Cup hope returns!

Where did you get that cool cutout display of Lemieux ?

I believe it was at a card show in KC back in the mid-nineties. I always put a Super Chexx puck on the base to make it more realistic.

How do pens fans celebrate goals??!!!?

For those who would like to watch the celebration in the archives, it’s at the 1:15:06 mark of the broadcast. It’s right after Guentzel scores to make it 3-2 in the second

I’d like to see a new group of protestors hit the streets in Canada…bring back the original conference and division names. Wales vs Campbell, Norris, Smythe, Patrick, Adams. Screw Bettman!!!! Take it to the streets, all you hosers!!!

Aaaaahahahahahaha!!!!!! Marchand let a goalie get his goat last night!!!! Love it!!!

Pens have never had a goon. Lemieux had to fight for himself too. Graves broke his wrist that one year in the playoffs and he never got as much as a hard check after that.

Mesz is correct. To beat the pens, just take a run at crosby, Geno, or Letang….and they will lose their marbles to fight back. And then it’s over. They are off their game.

The whole Jarry/Marchand started earlier in the game during a commercial break. Jarry was behind his net with a puck on his stick, about to flip a souvenir to the crowd. That’s when Marchand hit Jarry’s stick and took the puck away, then threw it across the ice. Evan Rodriguez skated over to him and slashed him in the shin as he went by. Then in the waning seconds, jarry robbed Marchand point blank. After the whistle, you can see jarry turn his head and say something to Marchand, at which point Marchand went over and punched jarry in the side of the head, and the rest is history.

Love seeing Jarry get the best of Marchand … I bet hextall was loving it!!!!

Yes. I think they can only have 500 people in attendance as fans.

Really? Are all NHL games in Canada that way?
