I was hoping for a real close game, maybe even OT. But Igor is continuing to be fn amazing..

#1752 1 year ago

4-0 now

#1753 1 year ago

It's over for Carolina.

Jinx incomming?

#1755 1 year ago

Wow. Spike in the coffin.

Jinx incomming?

Nope. They don't deserve this series.
5-1 with 9 minutes left.

#1757 1 year ago

Looks like I got the Wings-related trifecta I was hoping for through this round:

1) Lightning (the team Yzerman built)
2) Oilers (Kenny Holland GM)
3) Rangers (HC Spuddy, Stevie Y’s left winger)

The willingness of guys like Lindgren to throw themselves in front of a piece of vulcanized rubber coming at 80-100 mph amazes me.

I'm more impressed that he's doing that with a 4 goal lead. Playoff time brings out the best in some players.

#1760 1 year ago

Well, that should do it…

#1761 1 year ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Always bet on the team that beats the Pens.

Yeah being* a pens fan too would have not thought rangers win, no way they get past Tampa, right?

I wouldn't think so, but this can always get weirder.
And the Avalanche should score 7 goals a game against Oilers?

#1763 1 year ago

Should be a good goalie match up.

Good point ..it’s true , is Mike smith ready for the Avs? Kadri will be a nasty shadow for Connor and Draisaitl is injured..I hope the series goes to 7 but Just look at the Avs lineup.

#1765 1 year ago

Let’s see some predictions for tonight’s game boys..I’ll start, n say 5-3 avs

My heart says 7-6 EDM in OT, but my brain says 7-6 COL in OT

#1767 1 year ago

7-4 Avs

Smith pulled in the 3rd after another bad giveaway

4-2Avs

Agreed... But it'll be one hell of a series!

Lightning in 5.

Avs and Lightning in the final. Avs win it in 6 games.
(But extremely impressive for the Lightning to compete this hard for a 3rd year in a row...)

#1771 1 year ago

Just to be the contrarian......Oilers win 5-4

#1772 1 year ago
Quoted from ImNotNorm:

I’ll say Oilers win 6-4 with empty-netter.

#1773 1 year ago

Kane was flying on that goal!

#1774 1 year ago

All out offense on this game thus far ....... "and loving it"

#1775 1 year ago

I didn’t expect to see Nordiques jerseys in the stands. Whalers jerseys are being worn at Canes games. So does anyone where Atlanta Flames jerseys at the Saddledome?

Nobody wore the Atlanta Trashers jerseys in Atlanta when they had a team!! Lol

We have definitive evidence that Atlanta is not a good NHL market! I did like having the Nordiques in Quebec City. Has anyone seriously considered a Saskatchewan team in Saskatoon or Regina, but naming it after the whole province?

Quebec city would work. But not Saskatoon.

Next NHL team will be in Houston in my opinion.

#1779 1 year ago

Hyman baby!!!

#1780 1 year ago

That was offside.

#1781 1 year ago

holy moly....this series is gonna be nuts.

Edit: that's offside

#1782 1 year ago

Man Smith is just letting a lot of soft goals. I know that was a hard shot but the goals he has let in, in the playoffs, have been questionable!

How is that on sides ????

#1783 1 year ago

IT WAS OFFSIDE!!

#1784 1 year ago

That's a goal?

What the H?

Do they not know what offside is anymore ?

#1785 1 year ago

That is 100% offside

#1786 1 year ago

That’s gotta be one of the weirdest onside’ calls I’ve seen..quite the period to start the series!

Would love a team in WI, preferably in Madison. But it's never going to happen.

KC might be viable.

#1789 1 year ago

how did that happen? i guess you can leave a guy in the offensive zone. Just push the puck ahead of you.

#1790 1 year ago

Everything I pretend to know about hockey is turned upside down with that call!

#1791 1 year ago

I guess the hockey gods are taking one back from the Oilers for the Coleman kicker last round.

We shouldn't refer to incompetent refs as "gods"

I'm not calling them gods.

Oilers right back atcha!
Not a pretty goal, but counts the same!

Well, so much for that!

#1797 1 year ago

5 goals in 5 mins since the end of the 1st and into the 2nd period.

#1798 1 year ago

GOOD NIGHT MR. SMITH

GOOD NIGHT MR. SMITH

Most of the blame for that goal is on the skaters, really. They stayed on their heels as if it was an Avs power play without checking anyone and let them pass the puck around at will.
