Sad day here on the States as Soccer is to pass hockey in viewership. This will make hockey the fifth most watched sport in the States!

Soccer is hockey in ultra-slow motion.

And with a heavy dose of that basketball flopping bs

My Scottish neighbour calls it football..I always interrupt him and say soccer..he still gets a lil pissed off w me..only thing I like, in the EPL anyway, is how they have 1, maybe 2 teams are are sent down to a lesser league for the 2 shittiest teams..imagine if the nfl could do that..

I do love that, but those poor lions..

NHL and AHL should do that. Relegation breeds competitiveness.
I love that idea. But doubt it would even work or be implemented.

It’s huge in England, and serious $ invested on all teams. All leagues here, I’d imagine, are similar. But perhaps it comes down to contracts on buildings, events, scheduling of concessions..I dunno..makes you think why not here? I think that it’d be the shit!
Quoted from Deaconblooze:I do love that, but those poor lions..
C’mon, removing the Lions from the NFL to a “lesser league” would add insult to injury. We already have enough to be embarrassed about. It would be a little like sending the Leafs to the AHL because they can’t get out of the first round, just like the Lions can’t win a playoff game.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Weaaak goal there Smith.
Actually, you can’t deflect the puck much better than that. I don’t think Smith had much of a chance.

Yea I stand corrected.
Where I don't have a direct rooting interest, this series has been one of my favorites ever. Just flat out entertaining.
Jesus. I flipped over from the basketball game and it was 2-1. And within a few minutes of watching it was 4-4. Crazy.

They announced that it was the quickest 4 goals in Stanley cup playoffs history..ya, was something else to see!
I'm sure we can all agree that this game needs to go to overtime!
It would only make sense considering everything we've see so far in the progession of this series.
The Battle of Alberta (aka the Battle of the Beer League Goalies) has been most exciting series I've seen in a long time.

No reason to flip over to the boomball game as it was over long ago with 20 plus lead, we all know hockey is better and a comeback can happen more often
Extension of leg. I dunno. That's tough.
This is why you can't determine intent and give the refs the leighway.
I got Oiler friends texting me saying that was a goal.
I say no goal and I'm indifferent.
Very tough one but I think the right call overall. The one overhead replay really looked dubious of a kicking motion.
When Oilers win in OT that'll go down as one of the worst calls in playoffs ever.
Hands down bar none.
And I got no horse
Quoted from Deaconblooze:We all have problems, alright pal?
Itchy... hearing things...skin crawling
Quoted from TheLaw:No kicking motion come on
Yes he directed It look at his eyes, no goal kicking intention in my books
Kick but I’m still trying to get over this “good goal” call when the whistle clearly is blown the play dead before the puck is even shot.
Agh the NHL

Yeah. Don’t care about either team. But was a horrible call. Puck was going in the goal anyway. Was not redirected and there was no kicking motion. No matter. Neither team had any chance to hoist the cup.
