Quoted from EternitytoM83:My gift orders are in! And now the waiting begins...
Everyone likes fruitcake, right?
[quoted image]
I actually do like fruitcake. Surely there have to be others.
Quoted from Axaios:Site logo changed to Christmassy mode . We now are officially on pinball Christmas period
Close. That's Pinside's birthday party mode. Pinside is 19!
May I suggest that if you wrap individual gifts, indicate on the outside of the shipping box that it is safe to open. That way your recipient can put the wrapped presents under their tree until Christmas (or whenever they decide to open).
Quoted from Atari_Daze:Also, if it's a chinchilla, it might need air.
Hopefully the Santa provided air holes in the box. That, or their own oxygen tank.
Quoted from docquest:The generosity of pinsiders is always impressive as this appears to be way over the $25 guideline.
The minimum is $30. There is no upper limit.
Quoted from LesManley:*The dollar amount you should aim for when buying gifts is at least $30. That is not a hard cap by any means. Tis the season, so you can spend as much as you feel comfortable with, but please at least hit that number value wise so no one is short changed from a dollar standpoint.
Last Saturday, I received a message saying my Santa was sending me two boxes, but the second box may not arrive before Christmas. Today I received two packages. One is definitely from my Santa (I peeked just enough to be sure.), but the other may or may not be. No matter the case, I will be opening up all gifts during my "Very Merry Christmas Stream" on Saturday.
I opened up my box during tonight's stream.
First up were the Better Made Potato Chips. Apparently, they are a Michigan item I've never heard of. I look forward to trying them! Will they be this year's Dot's?
Next, I found a Michigan tumbler which will go into my state souvenir collection. Awesome!
Then I pulled out an Elvira fan. I'll have to practice my fan pop!
Up next is Cassandra Peterson's autobiography, "Yours Cruelly, Elvira," a book I definitely want to read!
In the bottom of the box was a sheet of Elvira cling decorations that will go with some of my artwork in the hall.
In a separate tube was a vinyl EATPM poster signed by Elvira. This will also go with my pinball artwork hanging in the hall.
Thank you, Secret Santa! I love it all!
Quoted from Mitoska:Better made has been making chips here in Michigan since 1930 , right in Detroit! The rainbow darks are one of my fav, found in every grocery, c-store, pharmacy, etc in the state. Enjoy those chips. My 10 year old was very upset when then stopped making the dill pickle ridged chips and switched to a different pickle flavor! Also..no , I wasn't your Santa.
Just tried the rainbow darks. Great potato flavor with just a touch of bitterness. Much better than Lays!
I would have loved to have tried the dill pickle!
Quoted from Jimmyhonda:The deal is, if you received a gift, you should at least post that you received the gift. That takes 30 seconds. Adding pictures and more comments is obviously optional, but a bonus for the person who spent the time and money sending the gift. If you don’t have the time to do so or you choose not too, you may not want to participate in this program. Merry Christmas everyone. Great gifts this year!!!
Actually, it's part of participating...
Quoted from LesManley:And of course, this is an important one...after you open your SS package, post the money shots of all your goodies here and give a proper thank you shout out to your Secret Santa for doing their part to spread a little holiday cheer.
Quoted from Mitoska:Santa is making a naughty list of pinsiders that didn't follow through.
I count 12 Pinsiders who have not posted having received a gift and five Pinsiders who have received a gift, but not posted opening it.
Some folks may be waiting until the 6th to open.
Quoted from Aflacjack:I wanted to follow up. My SS sent me several signed posters and I just got them back today. I had them professionally framed and had conservation glass installed to keep the colors. Thanks again SS!!
I am hanging these in my theater/pinroom tomorrow. I also had my old Whitewater Translite framed since I changed to the new one.
