Let's get weird.

#13 2 years ago
Quoted from Saltimbanco:

Well, not TOO weird.. on that note, anyone knows how long frozen chinchilla meat will keep once put in the mail? Asking for a friend..

I'm willing to get as weird as it takes!

Quoted from Atari_Daze:

I hope my Santee enjoys the chinchilla sweater, it took so many of those little fellas, but I swear it was worthwhile. They sewed so fast with their tiny hands!

I slip ground up Adderall into their food, makes it go alot faster!

All packed up and ready to ship out this week!

#163 2 years ago
Quoted from Petie423:

I can not even begin to express how extremely grateful I am for the gifts that I received from my secret Santa. I did not even believe the call I received on Friday saying that I have something coming freight today and when my wife sent me a picture of what arrived I knew that I needed to take my lunch break right then and there, drag my dad from his house to help me, and get this pinball table set up. It still doesn't even feel real to me that, that is what arrived at my house. I will never not be thankful for this incredibly generous gift I received, whoever you are out there, if I could give you a big hug, I would...and dammit, I'm a good hugger.

Package is off - godspeed little doodle.

Quoted from Kkoss24:

I’m a rookie , so I’ll take this as a learning experience and UP my game next year .I feel shitty I just sent my gift from the business without a note or anything .I’m taking notes .I won’t be so dull next year .I won’t be sending a pin (God bless you for the joy you brought that family ) but I now understand the true meaning of Les’s Secret Santa thread

Its only the 3rd, so not to late to do something else if inspiration strikes!

#340 2 years ago
Quoted from sp005:

I keep forgetting to say my package arrived last week, been resisting the urge to open it. The package I put together will be going out on Friday as soon as I can make it to the post office.

I saw on my tracking my package was delivered but haven't seen the recipient post they got it yet. A good reminder to at least mention stuff arrived so the sender knows it made it safe!

Quoted from pacmanretro:

Well, if you stick a stamp on a chinchilla, you have to make sure to let the postal carrier know to close the mailbox tight.

I had to pay for the lift gate delivery because there were so many!

My package came today as well, and at the perfect time because I am headed to the airport shortly for a few days out of town! I will open these up with the help of a 5 year old upon return this weekend.

Obviously Santa did their homework as my bad back will appreciate the pinmat, and the cat wrapping paper I feel is self explanatory based on the picture!

Santa definitely did some research! Got back to town today and was blown away by what I received.

A pinmat and EBD beach towel, a miniature NGG machine that has taken its rightful place in the manger, a slick glass Williams shooter rod that will likely end up on Whirlwind this week, a ton of fliers for games I both own and plan to own some day, an ornament, and some cat themed swag. The reviews are in on the cat treats and it seems like a winner!

Oh, a pinball backglass puzzle too that I couldn't get a proper picture of because the kid dove right in!

Thanks Santa, absolutely awesome!

Quoted from amkoepfer:

Does the flipper alignment tool give you angle of playfield as well? Or just left/right level

Wanted to ask the same thing. Aligning flippers alone is a pain in the ass, I want one of those!

#455 2 years ago
Quoted from NovaCade:

Also not on board with a multi level tier system. As said before this is all about giving not getting. This hobby is expensive enough already and prices out some people, let’s not add anymore to it.
And besides, a $30 gift from the person who is having trouble or tight on cash is almost more meaningful than a $10k gift from someone who has piles of it.

Would totally agree. I feel like people blow past the 30 floor anyway. Raising the floor would probably only alienate people who want to participate and have some fun, which is what it's all about. I think if you're worried about receiving exactly $30 worth of stuff and would be disappointed, it's easier not to sign up than rework the program (just my two cents). I sign up for some extra holiday fun and get some fun surprises in the mail!

NGG pin from my SS remains on the mantle at the request of my wife. The fliers have been hung!

Quoted from Insane:

I received the same puzzle. If the box or the website had the exact puzzle as assembled, it would have been much easier. The box showed less, and the website showed more. Congrats on the feat.

One side of the box had the right picture (I want to say the back...on ours anyway...) and the other side was a totally different picture ha!

#907 2 years ago
Quoted from Insane:

Yeah, we saw that, but wanted something larger for our old eyes...
And i understand that, which is why we went to the website, but on there it showed more than what the puzzle had. The games along the edge, it showed stuff that wasn't there on the actual puzzle. More of each one.

I get that for sure, my vision blows, especially focusing close up so some parts were quite the adventure ha. I will say the first half was slow going then it really gets easier once you start being able to map out the game locations.

Quoted from undrdog:

Have you tried the special dark pretzels? You can get UTZ baked extra done at their online store. Delicious! Probably safe for chinchillas if you brush off the salt.
They also have extra done potato chips, but not nearly as worthy as the dark pretzels.

The wife loves these, we are both also big on the extra toasty cheez its...can't go back to the regular ones.

Quoted from undrdog:

Extra toasty Cheez-Its?!! I’m in heaven!
I bet it’s packed with chinchilla nutrients like cheez flavor and carbs, too.

They are amazing, you'll never look back!
