Pm sent about getting in on the fun this year. My wife and I don't do gifts for each other so would be nice to have something under the tree

    #58 3 years ago

Can never go wrong with scotch or whiskey as a gift!

    Quoted from undrdog:

Eh, maybe I’ll just send a Tshirt instead. Ya think?

    #133 3 years ago

This is the earliest we've ever set up the tree.20201119_152608.jpg20201119_152608.jpg

    Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

I love egg nog, and a couple of years ago I figured out you can make popsicles with it. What’s better than egg nog? Frozen egg nog! It freezes soft and is really creamy - yum!

When I was a chubby kid my yearly tradition was eggnog on rice krispies. Way too sweet now for my tastebuds. Maybe I'll try freezing a couple ice cubes of eggnog and use it as ice cubes for a paralizer

My wife and I haven't done presents in years. If we need/want something, we just buy it. Will be awesome to open a gift that someone has put some thought/effort into it. Really looking forward to this. Should have joined up years ago.

Top of the wish list would be a pin2dmd for sf2. Lol.

Would be happy with a pack a butterscotch lifesavers and a card.

    #201 3 years ago
    Quoted from LesManley:

I may know who it is if I go back and look, but I have no idea what the gift will be so it's still a surprise.

I wish I got a GNR, especially with a 4 week lockdown for bars and restaurants that just went into effect here. Can't play GNR at a local haunt for at least a month now.

Man that sucks. Up here in Canada certain provinces are shutting down and I fear that here too in Saskatchewan soon. Always wish the best for my friends who put games on location for others to play. I hate that it will be 2021 before I get to play any games on location and support my friends

    Quoted from mtn-:

I would have loved to partake in this, but the insane shipping costs to and from Norway unfortunately effectively stopped me..

I think the op would have found you a match locallyish (europe) I know the Canadian Secret Santa's get other Canadians to avoid costly shipping to the States. The Aussies probably get each other, etc.

I shipped my package off for just over $20 to my secret Santee and we're a couple thousand kms away

    #308 3 years ago

I'm new to this. Has anyone gotten a pin in the past? That would be the ultimate surprise as a truck rolls up to the house for a unexpected delivery.

    #317 3 years ago

If my secret Santa is considering a pin as a gift I can always pickup at depot to save on shipping

    Quoted from RobDutch:

    Very cool!
But what was in the envelope? Chinchilla's? Corn nuts?

Nothing fun unfortunately. Just a packing list from Amazon

    #371 3 years ago

I can remember when Black Friday finally started to take off here in Canada. Probably about 8 or 9 years ago. It F'n kicked Boxing days ass. It basically took over and boxing day deals took a back seat. 50% storewide on designer clothes at boutique shops became the norm.

Boxing day sucked back in the day. We'd wait in lines at HMV to get 10% cds. Haha

This year, a lot of retailers didn't do black Friday unfortunately up here in Canada

I ordered some led strip connectors on black Friday and found a envelope in the mailbox. When I opened it up I thought they mailed me the wrong item till I saw a name on the packing slip. It came from my secret Santa.

    Thanks again Santa! Hadoken

My secret Santa struck again. Did some stalking with this one as I remember posting somewhere I'd proudly fly a Oh Cannabis flag.

    Quoted from j_m_:

my arrived today as well and not wanting it to be a chinchilla (or two) and leave them to starve, I opened it straight away. here's a few pics of my spoils
all nicely wrapped up with shiney wrapping paper featuring what I can only assume are the very rare, long legged antlered chinchillas [quoted image]
an awesome card to go with these trying times and some very cool cnc'ed and laser cut wood items (a tray to keep miscellaneous stuff like keys and stuff) and a set of 4 nes cartridge coasters[quoted image]
    [quoted image]
    thank you secret santa!!

Those coasters are such a cool idea. Man I wish i had a cnc machine. All my time would be spent making cool shit

    Quoted from Dee-Bow:

I just received an email from Canada Post and expected it to say my gift I'm waiting for has been delivered... Nope! it JUST got to Canada and expected on the 14th. dayumm..gonna be close! ill be shipping it back out there same day it arrives

Everything is super slow right now. I mailed a letter to Saskatoon 10 days ago and it still hasn't arrived.

Ordered some led strips on black friday and they've been stuck in processing in Regina since Friday. Surprise surprise my expected delivery date of yesterday didn't haappen. Not sure why I'm paying for prime anymore?

    Quoted from northerndude:

Dude, my hometown's name is Star City

I bought a bunch of arcades from a old arcade in Star City years ago.

    Quoted from bowtech:

So I came home from work to the first package out of a million that arrived that had my name on it, so I knew it had to be from my SS. I didn't even hesitate on opening in and was blown away with my gift. My Santa saw I was on my second Taxi and ran with it. It's an awesome print on canvas that is a play on the Taxi back glass and I love it. Can wait to get it hung up. And according to the note there may be more coming. This would be the perfect gift as it is! Thanks so much Santa!
    [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Man, that's super cool! Who's the dude left of Ali supposed to be? I'm usually good with pop culture but I'm drawing a blank. Looks like Luke Wilson in Old School

    #827 3 years ago
    Quoted from LesManley:

    I believe it's Hans Gruber.[quoted image]

Thanks. Didn't see that and I watched Die Hard last night.

    One more. Haha.
I'd take that basketball everywhere with me. I'd even keep it under my pillow. Maybe that's why I couldn't sleep at night.

Also want to give a huge shout-out to saltimbanco. I made a comment in this thread that I loved Coffee Crisp and was sad you can't get it in the States. He sent me a PM offering to send me some. I opened the package this morning and it's an entire CASE of them! Yum! There are a lot of awesome people in the world. Thank you.
My cats thank you too - we haven't been able to throw the box away because the three of them literally take turns sleeping in it and get mad when we take it offb the table! Lol
    [quoted image][quoted image]

Not often I eat chocolate bars but Coffee Crisp is my favorite. Throw a couple in the freezer. So good. Them and Kit Kats frozen are my go to's

As a new pinhead, I can’t wait to be a part of it.

I got a newb Canadian pinhead last year. Hopefully they enjoyed the gifts.

So I learned about the Christmas pickle from this forum. In honor of those who represent I found one at a yard sale today. Sounds like fun.
