I was thinking of the consequences of waiting til the 25th to open a gift.. what if said gift was a puppy... or a for heavens sake a pack of chinchillas..or is it a herd? or a school? posse? yeah.. that's prob it.
nope.. not that I recall.. I think pinstadiums were about the most expensive gift. maybe some mods cost more.. some really cool pinball schematics and framed art. I heard Bill Gates participates in a secret santa on Reddit or something and just goes crazy on the gifts! that'd be bonkers!
I really enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas gifts someone got last year..that was fun to follow! I see a few people doing it this year!
Quoted from pacmanretro:And....presenting....the display of gift #1
I'm not sure if they all come with hints or notes etc yet, but I will share each.
Based on the note, I'm concerned it could be a large box of 2020s droppings from a chinchilla farm
The wrapping is SO perfect on them all!
Now it's killing me to wait until tomorrow to open....but I will wait!
Tune in tomorrow...

if it's not a pump ...is it a
jenga?!
I just received an email from Canada Post and expected it to say my gift I'm waiting for has been delivered... Nope! it JUST got to Canada and expected on the 14th. dayumm..gonna be close! ill be shipping it back out there same day it arrives
this may be the greatest gift ever in the history of secret santas.. a full box of toilet paper! It's like I hit the jackpot!!
oh wait! it's actually a bunch of individually wrapped gifts! wooot! I will do my best to wait and open on Christmas.. but temptation is already there! thanks so much to my SS .. I have a feeling this is going to be one heck of a generous gift package! (pretty sure I know what present #2 is probably one of them inverted glass watering jugs for chinchillas)
20201216_133904 (resized).jpg20201216_134136 (resized).jpgmy secret santa completely outdone themselves.. seriously, unbelievable the Christmas spirit he or she has. I received: 1- a frisbee shaped rolling tray!(absolutely love it!) 2- a coffin ball lock skull mod for Metallica (already have it, but noticed mine is upside down!)3- a LED fishing lure(yup! it lights up!) 4- a bottle of Gibson whiskey (and it's a big one!) 5- two! yes, two amazing translites (didn't even know there was alternate HS2 's) 6- welded steel handles that mount in the leg holes to help when moving machines around(awesome for stairs i bet!) honestly..this thread really made me feel pretty damn good to be part of this awesome community and I would of been grateful with absolutely anything I received. I just love pinball and everything and everyone associated with it! hope there are conventions and pinball events again so I can have a beer or chat with any of you guys or girls someday soon! Merry Christmas
20201225_212858 (resized).jpgQuoted from ArcadeUpkeep:Also a second tube showed up, wonder what that could be . . . .
[quoted image][quoted image]
can only be one of four things: translites, pinstadiums, penis pump, or a stack of chinchillas.
I was wondering who makes that power supply mod as well! and if it was Santa...well then that is frikkin awesome of them! very nice either way and something that you would definitely want..but I could see myself never getting sound to buying.
Quoted from jesperpark:I found another gift in my mailbox from my Secret Santa last night. It was stuffed in so tight I needed both hands to pull it out.
Thanks again Secret Santa, this will come in handy when hockey is back once again!!

yup.. that would look great on the floor in front of the toilet..just kidding!that kid is awesome! but, go Canucks
Quoted from Pahuffman:Mail day! Had this beautiful box dropped on the porch this afternoon:

And inside was this! A power supply mod (which will be very useful in cutting out the hum/buzz on DE Star Wars or Star Trek) and two 3D printed cup holders for my games. Thank you very much, Santa!!!

it appears your SS supports small businesses during these tough times! I found a few of your gifts at arcadeupkeep.com -Awesome products for those who like to mod their machines! I definitely want to get the backbox LED conversion they make for my Metallica! a few other game specific parts and some cool undercab lighting options! looks all well made too!
annnnd thank you to this year's SS for the pinhauling handles! I used them yesterday to haul an Aztec out of my house and down the stairs of a local pinhead! didn't want to use a wheeler and get his carpet all dirty from the snow so we hand bombed it ! they work so good! just used two on the front! they're awesome.. hauling pins in -30° Celsius Canadian winters.... not awesome! (-42 w/windchill)
Quoted from ChrisPINk25:I know someone else asked, but where can those pin hauler handles be purchased from?
my next post has the link! I will glue some felt pads on these for cabinet protection and they'll be perfect!
*note- they didn't damage the cabinet at all..just figure some oversized protectors cut out of felt would make it less likely to leave any marks
