I opened my gifts last night. They are awesome! Thanks Rocket City Pinball!!!
I opened my gifts last night. They are awesome! Thanks Rocket City Pinball!!!
Quoted from Gogojohnnyquack:Got mine out today via USPS, which is telling me that it should arrive on the 11th. That's pretty good time!
That’s what I thought when they gave me my estimated delivery date of 12/5. Mailed mine on November 30. According to the tracking, they are still in transit in New Jersey.
Quoted from chubtoad13:Thanks Rocket City Pinball!!!
Galactic Black Posts?! Those are sweet!
Well now I'm nervous. I shipped via USPS, should be there Monday. Gonna watch that one like a hawk I guess.
Quoted from Phat_Jay:Son just sent me a pic of packages that arrived today!! Secret santa has delivered! Cant wait to get home now!
[quoted image]
You should warn your son asap not to take a peek, could be a hungry chinchilla in there..!
Edit: look at the 'Handle with care' sticker, I'd take that as a clear chinchilla warning..!

Apparently the cats are VERY interested....should i be worried?
Quoted from Phat_Jay:Apparently the cats are VERY interested....should i be worried?
well... if you come home to a torn open box and some very satisfied looking cats, you'll know that at least [someone] enjoyed the contents
Quoted from undrdog:My SS gifts are wrapped and sent. Funny, I got two chinchillas for packing, and used them, but turns out, I have extra.
Anyone needs some, let me know.
Now the poor little things are replacing packing peanuts?!
Quoted from pacmanretro:Now the poor little things are replacing packing peanuts?!
I thought that was the whole point.
Quoted from pacmanretro:And....presenting....the display of gift #4
I'm just in awe of the decorative diodes on the wrapping paper!
Edit: those may be inverters...That and how it conveniently stores on my fridge door for me to look at today and tomorrow
Tune in tomorrow...

Well, I wasn't expecting multiple attractive items.
The telescoping one will be perfect for playing with a crt tv without having to get up now
Thank you santa!
I had a small round one in the past...until it magically disappeared for somebody else's craft items. Lol
Now where was that telescoping one a few weeks back when I spent well over an hour crawling around looking for a lock washer on the carpet; only because it was an original piece of hardware for a 40s machine.....even though the very next part turned out to be wrong hardware so not all original anyway
I will absolutely be using these!
Short version of a story, as I'm sure I told it before:
When I worked selling tools for sears, I had a gentleman who came in regularly. He started asking about any special magnetic pickup tools. He owned a local laundromat and was complaining about having to pull machines out all the time for cleaning and loose change etc.
He kept bugging me for what kind of tool I had as a special "money magnet"; and I'd chuckle and joke around. He gave me weird looks.....turned out he was being serious. I may have offended him. It seems he genuinely was asking me what kind of magnets I had to attract coins. Ooppps....
Best I could suggest was a grabber tool or gum on a stick
He stayed insistent that there must be something...
Thank you again santa!
Shameless plug - we have some nice gifts available including ornaments, pictures and puzzles. Sadly no chinchillas. I did have one as a pet growing up. Lived around 21 yrs. So soft. Crapped all over tho.
Anywho - new account for a new business but not new member. Usually post as tommyp. Love this thread annually - need to participate one of these years but i always miss the sign up. Like lloyd suggested a few times though, still is fun to see what you all come up with. Cheers!
My wife pointed out that no one else is waiting to open their gifts, and that's good enough for me!
Thank you, Santa! You really hit it out of the park. Just in time for snacks, too.
Santa sent me a corn-ucopia of yummy goodies. Also a classic Underdog T-shirt and a plush Underdog. He is going to stay in my car, protecting me from traffic from now on.
No, Santa I do not already have that Tshirt. I did have it years ago and wore it out. I'm so glad to have it again!
One of the gifts is a set of little circuit breakers that sit in for fuses until the problem is fixed. Sure will beat replacing fuses over and over. I'd heard of these, but hadn't seen one before. They will come in very handy.
This is the topper on a great day, after a string of lousy ones. A troublesome thing at work has been resolved to the good; Mystic, which had mysteriously quit working, decided on its own to work again; and now all my great SS gifts.
I'd write more, but I've got to get into that bag of Corn Nuts NOW!
Thank you again, Santa, for my thoughtful & yummy presents. Can't wait to try the Huckleberry tea!
Had a great surprise package waiting for me today when I got home. I prefer to open on Christmas as I get very few surprise gifts and it's fun to open a surprise on Christmas morning. My other package arrived today and I will get it sent out ASAP to my recipient as mail time is slow. Thanks Secret Santa!
Damn! I forgot to throw the Corn Nuts in there.
Those are gonna be some hangry Chinchillas by the time they get across the country. I am sure they'll be fine, though.

No worries, they can munch on one another..your Santee will get a plump chinchilla in return! Win, win!
I just found another present, a large Underdog sticker tucked inside the TShirt.
It is going on my new MIG, as soon as it gets here, any day now. (My old one died a few days ago, right in the middle of making my wife’s Christmas present, wouldn’t ya know?)
Thanks, Santa!!
I fear my Chinchilla has died before I could pack it up and ship it to my Secret Santa... Sorry... I've let you down

100-day return policy? And watching the thread with anticipation...
Wow! So first pic is the initial open. Second is laid out. I have horrible self control, but someone carefully wrapped all these so i WILL honor their effort by waiting until the right time. One for each of the 12 days! This truly is incredible. Thank you to Santa! Im blown away!
I came home to a huge box from my SS, and thinking there might be some wrapped gifts inside to put under the tree, I cracked it open. Well, nothing was wrapped, so there was no turning back. Pinside Secret Santa has never disappointed, but wow, this year he was ridiculously generous!
Either Santa works at Pinball Photos, or he raided the warehouse and grabbed all of the best stuff. First, was a huge, really comfortable blanket (my wife says it is a “plush, Sherpa throw” ) with a very cool picture of a pinball and bumper.

Next, was an epic pinball shower curtain, that is going to be perfect for our mancave bathroom.

Two pinball placemats, for a date night meal watching the TWIPY’s.

A sweet night light for the kid’s rooms, and a set of some really high quality pinball coasters (wrapped in some great twilight zone paper).

What an awesome surprise. Congratulations!
The cats are just adorable
Quoted from TiltDis:First year of secret Santa and was not disappointed! I didn't really ask for anything specific on my list, so I was very happy to receive the surprise of the Dirty Donny hardcover book, a Marco t-shirt, and of course... Toilet paper! Thank you secret Santa!!
[quoted image]
That dirty Donny book is sweet!! Nice!
Gifts officially sent. I went with ups this year. Should arrive before next weekend. Hope they like it. I would be stoked to receive it.

During the first Secret Santa, for one of the items I bought, I picked up two - so I could keep one. It's still sitting in my theater as a decoration. (I gave a clue if my recipient is still following along from nearly half a decade ago
).

Actually, this thread gave me so many great ideas, I'll pick up up a few things for myself as well! It's been fun to follow and very inspiring, so keep up with the stories and pics people!
when do these [12 days] recipients start opening their gifts? as soon as they receive them, or on the 12th or the 13th? I'm kind of excited for them to see what each day brings
fingers crossed that any chinchillas received are in box 1

Yeah, obviously I couldn't wait that long
My Secret Santa delivered a surprise this year! I panicked when I opened the shipping tube because I thought "oh shit, my wife will kill me!" I was looking at something very similar a few weeks ago online and I thought I ordered it by mistake! Turns out PinSide SS!!
