Stars starting to look a little bit right. But I don't feel good about facing either the Avs or the Knights without Bishop healthy and at top form.
Anyone want a broken down Jamie Benn for a lot of money?

This game is playing out just like the Stars drew it up. Go down 3-0, then blast back 6-3. What is happening?
Just happy that Miro is getting some due on the big stage. That kid is ridiculous.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Gurianov has more goals tonite than the entire Flames team!
Yeah, and fewer minutes on ice than any forward not a last-minute call insert from the AHL squad. We give out shifts based on contract bloat and dead legs. Oh Bowness, never change.
He just signed an extension through 2022. Would Seattle grab him if Vegas left him unprotected? That would be funny.
Curious what Jamie Benn's reputation is around the league. I see a lot of grumbling about him being a cheapshot artist. Is that true?
I can tell you that he's never been one of the most beloved big names down here. Modano was obviously the man, even though he's proved to be weird and kinda an asshole in retirement. Hull is beloved for obvious reasons. But even Brenden Morrow was more embraced, honestly. Don't get me wrong, he's loved. Just not like the other big names were.
Hockey down here is weird, though. We have the true diehards that really like hockey, then the Stars fans that don't watch any other hockey or pay attention to the rest of the league at all, then the typical Dallas sports fan that won't pay one second of attention until or unless the Stars get into the conference finals. The true fans here, though, look at Benn as an albatross and were never in favor of giving him that contract, money or term or no-movement. But we did and now we are stuck with him. The guy had a good game against Colorado, but I fully expect him to go back into hibernation for the rest of the series. The buzz has always been that he would go back to BC if the Canucks ever came sniffing, and I wonder if Seattle is close enough for him. I'd go ask him if he'd waive his NMC to be left unprotected and try to lure Seattle into taking him, but I am sure they would laugh at the prospect. He's not captain material - Miro will be the captain in 2 seasons.
Quoted from cdnpinbacon:Interesting comment. Its up to Seattles Scouts. Myself, i would take Benn. Not too easy to play against is he? A lucic with more skill?
We paid him for what he did in the past. He's worn out already. He skates like he's in cement. With Seguin never recovering his wheels after he nearly sliced his achilles in half, their line is just brutal to watch skate now.
Quoted from beergut666:Ouch, that's a terrible period for Colorado.
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:Looks like me watching any more games this season is also cancelled.
You love freedom so much that you will exercise your freedoms by denouncing those that are also merely exercising theirs? That’s a tu quoque fallacy.
Quoted from cdnpinbacon:Could be ...what about Dallas..mean green machine!
Still one more game to win here. No time to think about anything but Colorado right now. Pack one suit for the trip and wrap this up tonight.
Quoted from Canuck_pinhead:This is aging like old milk
Yeah, I didn't know they were going to decide to throw a rusted frozen Bishop out there after a month on the shelf. Good lord.
Quoted from cdnpinbacon:AVS win all -in
Sorry Gambit don't ever bet my with my heart
Oh, that's a good bet. We show up, and then we don't. Story of this team for two seasons now.
This schedule is so stupid You have all day Saturday, NHL. A nice Game 7 double header sounds great on a Saturday. But now we get DAL/COL at 3PM CST + back-to-back tired Vegas/Couv? What the hell!?!?
I wouldn’t mind seeing Reaves take a suspension about now for that headhunting he was doing tonight, and the match penalty he took.
Colorado was supposed to kick our ass. We will just keep going forward into ass kickings, I guess. House money.
Quoted from hwyhed:What a shot by Radulov last night in OT!
That guy takes dumb penalties and scores King Kong goals. That’s it. That’s his game.
I notice Reaves wasn’t talking much when the lead evaporated, and that hyena yelp from Marchawhatever disappeared, too.
That’s a sweet feeling taking that team down with the swiftness. No love lost for that crew.
I have always liked the Lightning. They came into the league the year that we learned Minnesota was moving here - which was like my 8th or 9th grade year. I had liked the Blackhawks before that, and liked the Lightning unis and latched onto them as a fellow southern US NHL team, and they have always been my Eastern conference team. But it's time for that to end, now. I've been explaining to my 10 year old son and my nephew for a few days now that they are about to start hating the Lightning when the Cup Finals start - a point that they just don't understand until we get into the series and they see how this goes when your favorite team plays anyone else for the Cup.
Quoted from newovad:I've got a Mooterus Lehtinen. And that same Modano. I may need to get my camera out too just to prove I didn't just jump on the bandwagon (considering I'm not from Texas and all).
Lol. Yeah, you have to wear the old sweaters around here now to prove you aren’t bandwagon. I never bought a Mooterus. That thing was abysmal from day one.
That Langenbrunner 98/99 got some wear.
Lol. We’ve been told that same thing 3 straight series. Let’s play this series out too, if that’s okay.
Tampa has 4 goals, 3 of which came off of Dallas sticks. Stars got into penalty trouble needlessly, and got hosed on a call or two. But that's the way the puck drops.
We haven't gotten anything out of the top line, or the young scoring line so far. If we can get Rads and Benn on the scoresheet, and Gurianov and Hintz doing their thing, we might be dangerous. Seguin is broken Something's wrong with him. Speculation here is a wrist issue. But the dude is forechecking and playing hard in other ways, so I'm fine with it. Radulov needs to start shooting the puck at the net. They are looking for pretty passes. That's not our game.
Man, not a good spot to play Dallas Stars Fart & Falldown Hockey. Now the back to back and our burial. Good night, nurse.
You don’t make that call in OT of game 4 of the SCF. You don’t. This whole series has felt pretty one sided on the calls. Hate to be that guy, but fuck the NHL. Not our fault Minnesota wouldn’t make the North Stars viable 30 years ago.
Don’t give me that shit. You don’t blow a whistle in OT in the Cup Finals unless someone is bleeding. Put dresses on them, otherwise.
Man, I don’t know that we will have anybody healthy by then. I’m really afraid that Stephen Johns took another concussion against Calgary, which will likely end his career. Pretty sure Faksa has a broken hand, and word is that Bishop has a pretty gnarly back thing going on. Who knows what Hintz has going on.
I really hope Bowness takes this opportunity to ride off into the sunset and we can go after Gallant. Gotta get the young guys more involved and speed this thing up.
