Not sure if I'm jumping the gun or stealing cdnpinbacon thread thunder here.....but I am super pumped for the 2019-2020 NHL season so I started the NHL thread for this year.
Lots of off season summer drama this year....especially with the RFA contract negotiations. Dustin Byfuglien is rumoured to be eyeing retirement...hopefully it's nothing CTE related. (Like Luck and Gronk)
Anyways, let's just drop the puck and play some hockey already!

You can't really take the pre-season too seriously. But don't tell that to Evander Kane. It looks like he'll be starting the season with a 10 game suspension for abuse of an official.
I like Calgary out of the west and Vancouver to make the playoffs. Tampa to win the East.
Tampa / Calgary final / Tampa wins it all.

CAPS! Will be interesting to see how they hold up losing Nisky and Orpik on D. Also, they have to get rid of Holtby if they are on the outside around the trade deadline. Backstrom is more important to keep in the long term.
