"Baby blue colors"?! Please ... these aren't the Houston Oilers we're talking about. The Kraken home jersey colors are a combination of: "Deep Sea Navy", "Ice Blue", "Boundless Blue", "Shadow Blue", and ... "Red Alert".

I think logos that need to include a hockey item look childish. Like they need to remind folks that hockey is a thing. Here's a Kracken, oh, and also, a hockey stick.

Panthers used to have a stick broken between the paws on certain jerseys. Others include the Mighty Ducks, Coyotes, Nordiques, Blue Jackets, Thrashers, Kings crest logo. The original Jets logo is more subtle, like the Islanders. Same for the Avs with the puck at the bottom.
Minor league hockey is where the trend is particularly noticeable. The further down you go, the worse they get.

I like the name, and your pic version as well but read on the nhl site that they did not want to use a caricature or cartoon logo and avoid, not sure why. So does Philly and Im sure lots of other teams do too. Crowd interactions for the "jumbotron" 50/50 raffle tickets, and shaking pom poms (no, not a euphemism for their butts). They didnt really add anything to the game, but they didnt take anything away either.
