Set aside the entire year on my schedule so I don't miss it.

My wife decided today wants to go to TPF for the first time after hearing about my experiences. Her only previous shows have been in Denver so I think she’s in for a pleasant surprise
We are coming in a day early and looking for a nice local place for dinner. Were going to go to Perry’s but realized we had one here in Denver.
Can anyone recommend a good steak or BBQ or other local non-chain place for dinner, preferably within reasonable walking distance of the Embassy?
Been there before on a solo trip. I’ll be with my wife this time and would like to stay alive so I can come back to TPF in future years.
Quoted from NeilMcRae:flights check
hotel check
weekend pass check
list of pinball bits to smuggle back to UK check
directions to Lockhart check
who's meeting me for a beer?
First beer is on me.
Quoted from Platypus:I'll be sitting in the hot tub with my wife wishing I was playing more pinball.....
Not if your wife reads this. You’ll be sleeping in the proverbial dog house.
Quoted from Higloss67:This will be our first time at TPF. I have been to Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown in Colorado. TPF sounds like it is much larger?
The Denver show is MAYBE a 1/4 the size of TPF.
TPF is now the show to be at if you want to see the widest variety of games and IMO has surpassed Expo as the best show period.
Quoted from zaphX:So, the TPF website shows things opening at 5PM today...but is the show floor open to attendees yet?
I’m sitting in my house itching to go to the show...
No. Open to exhibitors and vendors only until 5 (Munsters VIP guests 3pm)
I would have liked to see most of the vendors in another room, just because of the noise. As attendees we can come and go to take a break from the noise. A lot harder for the vendors to do. And there were a number of vendors/booths I would have liked to spend more time at but many times it was just too hard to hear.
I’m sure there are pros/cons to the combined vs. separated approach and don’t really know what would be best. I thought TPF was set up well and fairly easy to navigate (except the American Pinball area).
