    Quoted from Pinballlew:

Well a rather large box came today and I opened it to see which of the kids was the present for....it turns out it was stuffed with lots of wrapped presents for this big kid. I am going to try and wait till Christmas, wish me luck. Thank you to my Pinside Secret Santa!
I put them all under the tree.

What train do you have around your tree? And do you like it?

Here’s a picture of the box, yes a great set that is reliable and easy to set up around the tree. We did buy extra straight track to accomplish this. It is Polar Express O gauge. It has callouts, remote control, train sounds which can be switched on and off and even smokes. It is really cool and the entire family likes it.

On the 13th day of Christmas,
    my Santa sent to me...

A mini Pop Elvira keychain and a RuPaul Christmas CD.

Rupaul had a Christmas CD?? Who knew

and it appears that he cloned himself twice!

    Quoted from jesperpark:

    Ru fans.

RuPaul actually has three Christmas CDs. "Ho Ho Ho" from 1997 (hence the VH1), "Slay Belles" from 2015 and "Christmas Party" from 2018. And now you know!

Thanks! My FIL is looking for a train to go around the tree

    #310 4 years ago

I have an HO circle around the outside of a 44” square board, gives enough room for a large tree stand in the middle.

The downside is there isn’t room for train decor if presents are going under the tree.

Avoid the less expensive set ups- we did that the first year and had no end of trouble. Turned out the train transformer was very low quality . Ended up spending another $100 for a good one. Start off with a good set up to begin with.

My package arrived yesterday and I held out around 3 minutes before digging in, lol.

The box had a nice note written on it making it clear there was better things inside than AT&T hardware.

First off was a very nice card, can’t go wrong with the personal touch! The first two things were for my kids. With everything in the world available to them they still got excited by a candy toy that has a laser pointer built in, lol.

There was a Major League tshirt, a deluxe pingulp with decals for two of my machines, a Bluetooth Star Wars speaker, a copy of Coin-Op Carnival (already owned some will be passed on to a worthy pinball fan) and a set of Mandolarian trading cards. These cards are part of TOPPS print on demand service which it really awesome. We will be reviewing them on our YouTube channel soon.

It was a lot of fun opening the items and it is clear that the Secret Santa put a lot of thought and heart into the items. Very nice and thank you.

I see some decent ones about $180, but my FIL is probably wanting to just try this lionel battery one ~$60. I hear it has issues but they are pretty good about warranty replacement.

I couldn't wait til Christmas I got an awesome Modfather cupholder for my Hobbit, some licensed movie-prop Dwarf coins in a slick case, extendable magnet, candy + card. I was just cursing last week after I dropped a screw in my LOTR and couldn't find a damn magnet anywhere, it's like my Santa knew. Me and my girlfriend are excited about everything, couldn't have asked for a better haul on my first Pinside SS! Huge thank you to my gift-er, and thanks again for all the work organizing and running this LesManley.

So this mysterious tube showed up on my door today...

    hey santa (resized).jpghey santa (resized).jpg

I did not purchase it, but it has my name on it. I wonder what it is and who it could be from?

Not sure I should wait until Christmas to find out.... It could have a skinny chinchilla inside...

It’s an incredible gift and I fully intend to open and install it. I was just having some fun with the thread.

I’m continuously amazed by the creativity and generosity of this community both in this gift exchange and tech support.

Thank you pinside santa! I can’t wait to figure out how to install it.

Which of my keeper games should I put it in? Doctor Who, LOTR, or STtNG? (I should probably check compatibility first, I’ve only seen it on games at Expo and don’t fully know how it works yet) Then again, it might be one of those giant spring snakes in the tube!

    Too excited!

Such an awesome gift! You've obviously been very good this year!

They plug into the service outlet, so they're pretty much compatible with any game. I would put them in what you consider your darkest game. You can always move them to another game if you want.

    Here's a good install video.

Wow, incredible gift. If it was me, it would be going in LOTR, as it is quite a dark game. Enjoy!

Back on December 5th, I got an e-mail from Adobe.

Hi, *********. Your package from Adobe is on its way.
    SCHEDULED DELIVERY
    Wed 12/11/2019

Funny. I didn't order anything from Adobe. I thought, maybe someone is using the corporate account to pay for shipping my Secret Santa gift. Lo and behold, it arrived today.

This package must have had an interesting life. It supposedly arrived twice at the same location on both Friday (12/6) and Saturday (12/7). I then heard nothing until the package arrived in Chicago yesterday. The FedEx system seemed confused and removed the delivery date entirely. But, it is here now and headed under the tree. And don't worry, "Adobe", I'm a member of the Create Cloud. Check out my Photoshop skills. I was too lazy to color correct or fix the exposure.

Thank you to my Secret Santa. This is always so much fun.

I was out of town this weekend when my packages arrived. After considering the instructions provided I decided to enlist the help of an expert to help me open this bad boy up.

A sweet Marco shirt and bag, a work light, an amazing pinball photography coffee table book and an original blueprint drawing of the spinner from Atlantis! Definitely ordering a frame tonight for display in either the kitchen or the bedroom...way too cool to keep hidden away in the basement! Many thanks and very much appreciated whoever you are Santa!

It's not a competition. The only way to really fail at this is to not put any effort at all into it, or not even sending a gift.

On the other hand.... who can compete with the 25 days of pinball christmas from that one santa? LOL
