Many thanks![quoted image]
Nice! That looks awesome!

On to the 5th and final package: “Coca-Cola and pinball? There’s art for that, too!” -Pinside Santa
The quote above was the description for my last gift from this Santa. In my living room I have a pool table, a few slot machines and a whole lot of Coca-Cola and Budweiser stuff. They work well with each other because they carry the same red and white color scheme. For my last gift, my Santa found something that I did not even know existed: a metal Coca-Cola Pinball machine sign. I am not sure if Bally ever actually made a full size Coke pinball machine or not, Pinsiders feel free to chime in if you have any info, but it was a very cool sign. It fits in perfectly in my living room with my other Coke stuff.
Thank you for the extremely well thought out awesome gifts. They all already have their own places in my home and I can’t wait to start the overhaul on my TAF.
Happy addendum: Secret Santa saved my air conditioning! (Sorta)
My wife called me at work and said the A/C wasn't working (in FL, and it's warm this week), so I came home to troubleshoot.
Thermostat and air handler appeared to be operating nominally, but the outside unit wasn't running. Pulling its electrical access panel, here's what I found... take a close look at the white power wire on the bottom:
I needed a spade connector so I could trim this wire and hook up to one of the spade terminals. Went through my supplies in the garage, but only had some for thin gage wire.
Then I remembered my Pinside Secret Santa had included a kit with various solderless connectors -- voila! Spade connector of the correct size!
Trimmed the wire & crimped on the connector, and now our A/C is back up and running!
I plan to still replace that overall contactor component but this will at least keep us running in the meantime.
Thanks for saving the day, Santa!

Wow that's awesome that you could stay cool, I would plan on replacing that very very soon. You don't want to risk starting a fire, definitely got toasty!!

Yep got the part in hand today; R&R is on this weekend's to-do list.

<snip>Thanks for saving the day, Santa!
nice job. funny that florida is experiencing 90 degree days this week and 1,100 miles north we're expected to hit a high of 6 degrees tomorrow and 6" of snow
One more bump. I was showing the blueprint I got from the exchange to my dad tonight because he's a mechanical engineer. He goes "hey this was done on your birthday". Just thought it was fitting that it was 2/23! Obviously unintentional but cool none the less! I would have just turned 5.
Quoted from action76:I finally got around to getting the custom made sign from Secret Santa printed on canvas and hung. Looks great! Thanks again SS.[quoted image][quoted image]
Looks gReat.
they look great.. and I STILL feel like a donkah for not seeing your original post! A roadshow hey!! Is that temporary or moving over when u get your MMr?!
Quoted from Daditude:After the recent freak out...I'm getting everyone toilet paper and hand sanitizer next year, lol
I predict we will see a lot of that this year!
Quoted from Dee-Bow:they look great.. and I STILL feel like a donkah for not seeing your original post! A roadshow hey!! Is that temporary or moving over when u get your MMr?!
Hey Dee-Bow no worries man!!
Road Show stays. Right now it's my gf's go-to machine. STTNG can be so brutal with the outlanes. The depth of JP intimidates her - she knows she'll never get to the end.
I can fit 4 games on that wall by squeezing them together and 1 on the opposing wall. I added Dr Who last night. MMr in the next few weeks hopefully...
I suggested rotating games in/out and the response from my gf was: "No. Nothing leaves. More is better." Yes... She's definitely a keeper!!
I know I can fit 10 machines in my home theater room if I turf the screen and projector.. It's a definite possibility! We honestly never use it anyway.

5 while keep the seating area. More than that I will just use the main family room. Fits 10 easy with no crowding or stepping on each others toes..

Seating area?! You have much to learn

Nah. I looks wider than it is (fisheye lens). Notice how STTNG looks as wide as a Hercules compared to RS?
I could fit one sideways along the wall where the sofa is but not worth the effort for just 1 more. Plus it gets really hot in that room with no air circulation.

Everyone's always asking "which vehicles can carry a pin?" Hercules is the pin that can almost carry a vehicle
Quoted from dnapac:Finally got it framed and hung. Thanks SS!! Can’t wait for this year!!

Christmas in July!
Quoted from luckycreature:We usually start in November right? My favorite gifts from last year came from this group.
Same here! In again for sure and ready to top what I received last year!
I'm so ready to start the stalking.
Gotta outdo what I did for mine last year.
Already got ideas churning in the ole brain pan!
Quoted from Atari_Daze:I'm so ready to start the stalking.
Me too.
I could really use a positive distraction like this right about now.
Looking forward to this starting up again.
I love the JJP Pirates translite frame. Good to see everyone enjoying this still!
We will definitely be doing it again, I think we could all use some good cheer more than ever this year. I usually start the sign up period right after Halloween and give it a couple of weeks for people to get in. Then get everyone out their Santa info a couple of days later, so people typically have at least a good 3+ weeks to get stuff and get it shipped out. I will post again in this thread when sign up for this year is active and link to the new official sign up thread so hopefully no one misses out that wants in.
I bet it wouldn’t hurt if it was a baby tad earlier, or had the signup period quicker as I know I’d like a little bit more time to order/buy/get shipped, then ship it out to my secret receiver

You’re not wrong. Not sure how things will be with USPS in November.
Quoted from Atari_Daze:And... my shopping has already begun.
OMG, you bought a GnR CE for someone?! I hope I'm your santee!!!
Quoted from Fezmid:OMG, you bought a GnR CE for someone?! I hope I'm your santee!!!
I'll never tell!
Quoted from Gogojohnnyquack:I'm interested in joining in this year! Is there a general budge guideline?
Usually it is 30 bucks min but most people spend more and some spend a lot more.
PBL sale for the over achievers who wish to start early even though we won't know our recipients yet...
