This may be from my SS, or not. Might also be from my son or my mom. Won't be opening it until Xmas either way
IMG_20191220_000458~2 (resized).jpgSo... I could not wait... (and I guess my daughter could not either)
So after reading the nice card, I opened all the wrapped packages... Cool always-useful tools (pliers, magnet, holder, multi compartiment case...), a nice pinball patent shirt, some little arcade goodies, and even a little "piggy bank box" for poor pinball collectors... all this with lot of candies!
THANK YOU SANTA!
gifts (resized).PNGTracking shows my gift was dropped off on recipients porch a couple of days ago. Hope it was received okay.
Very happy my SS got their package! Haven’t checked this thread in a while.
Only 5 more days till I get to open mine! I think it’s been worth it so far to wait till Christmas. Every time I see them under the tree they seem to remind me “oh shoot I still need to get gifts for <family member>!”
Quoted from Jvspin:Tracking shows my gift was dropped off on recipients porch a couple of days ago. Hope it was received okay.
Im in the same boat, just want to hear so I have piece of mind.

Same here!
Quoted from HighVoltage:Ho Ho Ho! I think I've spotted the SS sleigh incoming on the radar!
I order a lot from Thanksgiving to Christmas, and I try to keep track of the incoming packages, but I don't recognize this one.
AND... it's insured! My SS ain't messin' around!
"That's it. That's the big one!"

That's the gift that keeps giving the whole year...
The last couple of years, I received my packages surprisingly early, and left them in their wrap within eyesight, anticipating opening them at Christmas.
It's a different kind of anticipation this year waiting for it to arrive. I was beginning to wonder if I was a verlorn recipient that some SSs are worried about.
Don't give your SS extra stress during the holiday! Review your packages and verify arrivals. As someone who had a shipping scare with errant tracking info, I know how it feels, but I'm relieved my recipient got it.

I know a lot of people wait till the last minute to mail packages out to force the recipients to wait to open closer to Christmas because they know a lot of us don't have very much willpower.
As for the whole porch pirate thing, in 3 years of doing this we haven't had a single package stolen off of a porch that I know of to this point...so everyone shouldn't worry too much. (LesManley knocks on wood, says a prayer, rubs a lucky rabbits foot and throws salt over shoulder while starting at his 4 leaf clover.) A lot of people are traveling this time of year and of course people are busy so it's not always that easy to confirm that a package arrived, some may not even know if they are out of town. Also, some people don't even get on pinside very often which is shocking to someone like me who checks in almost constantly.
My secret Santa gift arrived today, thanks to whoever you may be. Be warned I will not be opening till Christmas

Dude what about you? Are you still waiting for your SS to show up?

Good point, not a bad idea to follow my own guidelines.
My stuff has arrived, so no worries on this end. I'm waiting like an anxious child until Christmas morning.
Also, a big thank you to ismiglif for the Starbucks e-gift card. Thankfully don't have to worry about porch pirates in my e-mail and it didn't go to the spam folder. Thank you again, that was very nice and an unexpected gesture.

That was a nice gesture to hook up the guy responsible for making this happen!
Good on you @ismiglif
Santa dropped by my house today, and having no self control I went ahead and opened the box. Thank you very much to my Santa for the giant Jurassic Park banner and very pretty Cherry Atomic translit. I'm going to have to rearrange my JP themed pinball room to make some room for new art. Also thank you for the t-shirt, which my husband has already stolen.

IMG_3200 (resized).JPGSecret Santa’s elves dropped my package off today. I’m not 100% sure if they are wrapped, so the box will sit under the tree for as long as I can handle it. I’ll open it on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day , assuming I can wait that long. THANK YOU SECRET SANTA, and THANK YOU LesManley for organizing this! It’s awesome!!!!

No pics John?! Whaaaattt??
I got a box from Amazon and my wife said inside it says from secret Santa... But she said it's not pinball related at all and thinks it might be from the BGG SS... So she gave away what type of gift it is... But I don't know who it is from.
Guess I'll ask my BGG SS if that any a second package or not! (They have a cool system where you can interact with your Santa and Santee but still remain secret).
UPDATE: Confirmed from BGG that the package isn't from that Santa, so it must be from here! Can't wait to see what board game my Santa got me!

I grew up in a town called Star City. In Saskatchewan.
Santa showed up!!! Got some cool stuff.. a Mini Flux Capacitor so cool. Got a gallon of Novus, and I will use it. Some new pinballs some led lights mods, decals and a Polishing rag... Now if I could only use the Flux capacitor to go back in time and lay $1000 on those Ravens!
Thx Secret Santa, great stuff!!!! Merry Christmas

I was worried about letting a good wrapping job go to waste, but last year I had the issue where my package was just filled with unwrapped gifts and spoiled it by opening.
I had a family member open the box to check if it was wrapped or not, and in case they weren’t wrapped, they could tape the box and the excitement was preserved
It also gets the family excited for pinball which NEVER happens haha
Quoted from RobertWinter:As of today, my SS package had not yet arrived. Starting tomorrow I will be out of town until Jan 7 so it should be waiting for me when I get back. So to my SS, don't worry about the package unless you don't see me posting about it by the second week of January.
We will at least have 2 new picture showings on Jan 7th then, yours and LTG
Quoted from Pinballlew:We will at least have 2 new picture showings on Jan 7th then, yours and LTG
I only participated the first year.
I didn't participate last year or this.
I'm enjoying seeing all the holiday excitement others are having.
LTG : )
I would like to tell my Secret Santa thank you so much for an amazing gift. After a week of it sitting under my tree I could not hold out any longer. Dang temptation But it is absolutely perfect.

Love that Attack From Mars shadowbox!
Quoted from amkoepfer:Getting nervous mine was pirated! Its not christmas yet tho, so i wouldnt open it anyways!
Mines not here yet either. I wouldn’t worry. Still a few days left.
Ok, since my wife and daughter let slip that it was a board game, and I know I have one from the BGG SS that I'm saving for Christmas, I broke down and opened this one today.
I suspect my SS is a fellow board gamer! I've heard lots of great things about this game but have never played it before. It says it's good for 7 people and only takes 30 minutes to play so might be a great game to play at work over lunch since we often play games there!
Thanks, Santa!!!
IMG_20191221_202914 (resized).jpgMan, I'm blown away at the thought secret Santa puts in.
We got some amazingly thoughtful things custom made for the Sharkade! Thanks so much.
Nick
Thank you so so much to my secret Santa I love all of the gifts and the Chicago Fire t-shirt is super cool! (I'm gonna wear it today because I have no self control) the Catwoman badge is amazing and all the pinball stuff and shark sign is great! Also I appreciate all of it being individually wrapped as I'm essentially a grown child who like to open everything even little boxes of nerds
Y'all are amazing
Quoted from NeilMcRae:when do we start crying because we don't think ours is coming?

Sorry to my Santa.
I typo’d my address by one digit.
There is no other similar address, so should make it still. I let les know
Super sorry. If it does not show up, that is all on me. I am an idiot.
Quoted from jesperpark:My secret Santa gift arrived today, thanks to whoever you may be. Be warned I will not be opening till Christmas
Awesome!
Same here, thanks Secret Santa! Beyond hyped to open it.
