Example: The same calls for harassing Stern about getting new GB code were asked for at TPF. I’m 99.999999999999% sure that had zero effect on Dwight and “top men” finally getting it done. Stern did that code update because they knew it was the right thing to do, not because some jackass bitched about it at TPF.
If you don’t like #cleargate, don’t buy until they address it. If you’re directly affected, work with your distro and manufacturer directly to express your displeasure and work on a remedy. It might not be the remedy you like, but any company that wants to stay in business will at least try.
