    Quoted from woody76:

    yea, service sucked

Of all the times I have gone with a group , one time it took dam near an hour to get food...

    #36 4 years ago

Should we start a list of who is bringing what machines?

    #38 4 years ago

    Unfortunately I think so...

    Quoted from LTG:

He is on the vendor list.
    LTG : )

    Its nvram time!

Yes, I hope the Ghost returns. That line up was great.

    Quoted from jfh:

Anyone have details on Cassandra’s/Elvira’s appearance Friday and Saturday?
That may make Expo a must do for me this year.

I do not see this listed. Is Cassandra showing up?

Edit: I saw it on another thread.

    #136 4 years ago
    Quoted from jfh:

Got confirmation from Rob Berk that Cassandra/Elvira will have autograph sessions on Friday and Saturday. I assumed that would be the case, but nice to have confirmation.

    Excellent.

If you are one that enjoys the full experience of Pinball Expo , then the tour is perfect. Sure it may be repetitive, but I like it .

Will Marco have the big tent this year?

    Quoted from Gryszzz:

Security better be a little more mf relaxed this year or it will be my last, I will say that.
Never got stopped about having a beer in hand, EVER, until last year. Fucking chill out Chet.

Offer up some homemade cookies. Stop back when he is moe mellower...

    Quoted from LTG:

I might add here. I listed possible places where I might be. None of the companies reimburse me for attending Expo. That has always been on me. With the exception of the room or part of the room Mike or Rob provide, for my seminar.
So if I camp out somewhere other than the companies I listed that I help, it's mostly by chance. I'll try and hit vidgameseller's booth sometime while I'm there.
    LTG : )
Disclaimer : Mugs arrive next Thursday. This is starting to get real. Can't wait to see everyone at Expo.

They at least pay you for your time for service answering phone??

    #250 4 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

No. My decision. Not theirs. They have offered.
CGC did pay for me to go to TPF and MGC.
    LTG : )

Now get them to cover Expo!

    Quoted from Phat_Jay:

Honestly I think this years mgc had more pins than last yrs expo. With the Marco games that were bought for sure. Although last yr expo there were more pins in the vendor area than previous expos which helped a lot. The free play room at expo though has been.....quiet. Look up pinball expo Chicago 2018 on YouTube, there are several good walkthroughs. Judge for yourself.
Where expo beats mgc is in the vendor hall, as far as pin related merchandise. At expo it’s 95% pin stuff, and a lot of it. At mgc is maybe 5% pin stuff and it’s random. So expo is worth it for me in that respect alone. I always goto both, and enjoy both for different reasons.

MGC alone had 102 or more NIB. Games set up.

    Quoted from marcand:

I'm late to this thread, but I am coming to town on Friday late morning and leaving Saturday after 8pm. If I bring a game, it is too late in the convention to get a pass for the event? I usually bring game(s) to Pinball at the Zoo so this would be a first time bringing one to Expo

I would not see why it would, but space maybe short

    #314 4 years ago

    Count down to FunTimes!!

    #352 4 years ago

Almost ! Got most of my games staged for pick up. Can't wait!!

    #382 4 years ago
    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Agreed. I think I’ll stay put. The price tag hurts, but I’m loving the convenience factor.

And it's only once a year!

    #394 4 years ago
    Quoted from Gryszzz:

Rob Anthony always has a repair room...he's great. Down the main hallway on the left across from free play. I'd get it to him asap though before he gets super busy.

And Rob may have a show special to install an nvram to you cpu board.

    Stern tour coming up!!

    #594 4 years ago
    Quoted from Pugsley:

I thought no pictures were allowed on the Stern tour?

You cant take them during the tour itself, Todd was in the ok section.

    #1039 4 years ago

I've attended Expo since 90, and this was my 6th year bringing games. I should have started bringing machines years ago as it t is a blast.

    #1078 4 years ago

I was happy to see MayFair Amusements back .

    #1081 4 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

Then you missed the cold pizza and cold sliders. I was one of the first ones through.
    LTG : )

Those were tasty. Both of the Buffets had great food.

    #1088 4 years ago
    Quoted from pinballplusMN:

The main reason steve at pbr hasnt been to expo in years. Just not ecomonically viable.

Plus he has to shut down for a week and pay overtime. 1999 was the last time Steve was here. And When Williams was open , he would stop there to get orders and extra stuff to sell at the show.

Growing pains for the reboot of Expo. Next year wi be better.
