Minnesota Wild
The West is loaded and Minnie just doesn't have the guns to go deep and succeed.
here's looking ahead to
another season of high hopes, failed expectations, and a deflated fan base.
Other than that, can't wait!!

Fleury has been yanked before,
and he'll get yanked again.

Now that I think about it, I wonder who holds the record for most "yanks" in a career? Do they even keep track? Interesting thought.

I know we have a l-o-n-g way to go but I would sincerely enjoy seeing a Canadian team in the finals once more.
Leafs... Habs... Jets...
Anybody? Let's go!

#82 1 year ago
Quoted from cdnpinbacon:

Check out NBC. ...I assume everyone in the US will get the broadcast?

Fill me in. Not sure about your reference?

#89 1 year ago

After a very slow start,
MnWild are heating up.
Dispatched the lethargic Kings last night
to make it four straight!
How many consecutive wins does it take for a team to qualify as being "HOT?"

Quoted from TheHueManatee:

Sabres beat Ottawa 9-2 this afternoon. You can't argue scoring isn't up in the NHL!

Or goaltending is down?

#109 1 year ago

I am hereby declaring the
Mn Wild ones as HOT!
Won 7of 8 and have
allowed a single goal in half of 'em.
Sharks tonight!

#120 1 year ago
Quoted from jaytrem:

Well that'll jinx em'

Sure did.
Put the whammy on 'em.

ALTHOUGH... the Wild ones
did tie it at three midway through the third.
Had the fight just couldn't get the winner.

Licking my wounds after a resounding defeat at the hands of the Capitals 5-2.
Straight-up got slapped!
Really thought the boys would fare much better after an exceptional 5-2 roadtrip.

#126 1 year ago

Apparently the 1st home game after a long road trip is NOT the one to attend,
i.e. 5-2 Capitals over Wild.
Apparently the 2nd home
game IS the one to attend,
i.e. Wild over Canucks 6-2.

I'll remember this hockey wisdom the next time I drop a fifty to attend.

Rockin' the old baby blue sports jackets on HNIC[quoted image]

...must've been a boy...

#147 1 year ago
Quoted from TheHueManatee:

It was 'Hockey fights cancer' night and all the old school sports jackets worn we're auctioned for charity.

All the better!

#149 1 year ago
Quoted from TheHueManatee:

Laine with 5 goals last night. That's 3 hat tricks for the month of November. Like a boss!![quoted image]

A lot of players
don't get 5 in a month.

#151 1 year ago

Say what!?!

Quoted from TheHueManatee:

And by scoring 5 goals he made some dude in Manitoba a millionaire!! (50K a year for 20 years)

#160 1 year ago
Quoted from meSz:

I don't know as most of the cheaper ones like this have a particle board for a surface and they wear quickly. After so much use the particle board breaks down for the underside. Not certain this is the case for this machine but if you look at the slots you can see the surface is not a solid material so leaning towards that it's a particle board.

Out of curiosity do you know what a chexx is made out of?

#171 1 year ago

Let's go Leivo!
We shall see what we shall see.
Wild ones take care of the Canucks rather well.

#172 1 year ago

And hey Philly, PA.
Out with the old in with the new:
Hextall for Fletcher.
Fletcher did alright with us up here in Mn. Took us to the playoffs six straight years. Just couldn't take us deep. IMO, not a very good judge of top shelf talent both figuratively or realistically.

#178 1 year ago
Quoted from TheHueManatee:

Looks like the Calgary vs Columbus game had 5 field goals lol

The goal tenders went out to eat
and left a post in the middle of the net.

My mistake...

#224 1 year ago

A guy like Simmonds is EXACTLY
what the Mn Wild need.
Big and strong, can score or hit.
The guy is 100% grit!

3 weeks later
#277 11 months ago

d) and lately the
Mn Wild ones have JUST enough gas in the tank to tie games but NOT enough to win 'em
Chi 4-3 ot L
Buf 5-4 so L
Games like this are not only frustrating but could be a revelation of the teams aging roster.

#284 11 months ago
Quoted from TheHueManatee:

I can't stand Pierre McGuire. That is all...

Now what could you
possibly find wrong with
ol' Pierre?
He is a fine on ice reporter.

#406 10 months ago

How about those MN Wild Ones.
Just when you think
you've got them all figured out,
they raffle off three trades
in succession followed by
a seven game pt streak and now THIS: Wild 3 TB 0
ON the road against THE best team in hockey!!!!

Attitude boys, it's all attitude.

#409 10 months ago

Mn 2. Flo 6
Are you Kidding me!?!#
Like I said... just when ya think ya got em all figured out...

#436 10 months ago

Yes sir!
Friday entitles you to more than just one.

#449 10 months ago

Winding down boys. Games getting more important as the intensity is ramping UP!
Here we go!

#584 9 months ago

Grateful to hockey and the NHL where an actual upset can, and does, occur in the opening round!

#604 9 months ago
Quoted from TheHueManatee:

The NHL's regular season is a lie.

Sure seems that way sometimes.

#610 9 months ago

Why, oh why can Toronto not finish off Boston!?!
One word: NEMESIS

1 week later
#713 9 months ago

Couple of great ones went off yesterday.
Both road dogs, Dallas and Columbus, got the victories they needed as they earned the best of seven opening split. Impressive, intense hockey! Well worth the price of admission.

#715 9 months ago
Quoted from Jackontherocks:

Boston had more chances and posts but I wanted Jackets to win

Boston let them off the hook. Will they pay for it?
That's the question.

#730 8 months ago

Can anybody explain the NYI's?!?!
Totally "on" opening series and completely
"What are we doin' here?"
the next.

#748 8 months ago
Quoted from hwyhed:

I disagree..the stars/blues series is back n forth. Chances exchanged all game. There’s been some nastiness in the series, and some stellar goaltending. The other series out west has been entertaining as well

St Lou and Big D series has been a dandy so far.

#800 8 months ago

Yep, forget the national anthem and just play taps.

#812 8 months ago
Quoted from meSz:

Wow tonight’s game was crap!
A lot of empty seats ... guess the promotion for a ticket, hot dog n soda for 30$ couldn’t get people in

So you buy a ticket to the game,
what are you buying?

Can't blame the fans for not showin' up
when the team did just that.

#825 8 months ago
Quoted from meSz:

Karlsson and Hertl out for game 6 and Pavelski game time decision..... Blues have to be licking their chops !!!

Agreed, however:
Perfect recipe for a surprising Sharks victory?

#830 8 months ago

I'll take Boston in 6
but what I want is St Lou
in 7!

#844 8 months ago
Quoted from Jackontherocks:

More impressive is the Blues made it to the finals after being in dead last overall in the league I believe as of Jan 3rd

Great storyline. If they can pull this off it just might be THE greatest turnaround in all of sports history!
Let's GO Blues!
Let's GO Blues!!
Let's GO Blues!!!

#864 8 months ago

This has been one long layoff.
The guys should have gone at it by now.
Why waste a weekend?
Waiting till Monday has been hard.
Let's go already!

#868 8 months ago

Stanley Cup
Game 1
Here we go boys!

#870 8 months ago

Should the Blues lose the series they will never forget GM 1, up 2-0, in Boston,
as the one that got away and cost 'em the cup.

#883 8 months ago

Soooo glad St Lou won one in Boston.
Time for some home cookin'

#885 8 months ago

Playin' for the Cup for the first time
in almost 50yrs.
They will be rocking the
joint no doubt and I'm thinking the Blues will follow suit. They should have momentum heading into Gm 3 as well.

#913 7 months ago

Blues need a road win to set up the Game 6 home victory for all the marbles!
Let's Go Blues!!!

#925 7 months ago
Quoted from rollitover:

Blues need a road win to set up the Game 6 home victory for all the marbles!
Let's Go Blues!!!

Not everyday a fella gets to quote himself.
Blues got that road victory.
Now back home can they take it all?
There is NO way the Blues,
after all these years, are going to blow this.
They WILL win Sunday!
4-2 Blues The celebration begins with :59 remaining after a Tarasenko empty netter.

#949 7 months ago
Quoted from pinplayer01:

Ummm. In a word, NO.

Horrible, just horrible.
Another HUGE wasted opportunity for St Lou.

#973 7 months ago

My idea of "Pre-Game"

#976 7 months ago

NICE shot!!!
First goal St Lou!

#978 7 months ago

St.Lou up 2-0!!

#986 7 months ago

Been a very, very long wait for St Louis Blues fans.

#1088 6 months ago

Ok here's one for all the experts: why does hockey have a point based system when all the other major sports are based on record?

#1090 6 months ago
Quoted from jaytrem:

Perception of parity. With the over time losses teams can look like they're better than they are. It's called being over nhl 500.

Nice try but the NHL system goes back much further than OT losses.
