I’m not from Canada, I was joking that you probably get signed up for hockey when you’re born, but to answer your question, my kid plays AA travel Midget now. And your right, the women are insane. The mouths on some of them will make a sailor blush

Basically, the kids are 15 and either choose to play for their high school or their club if they even have a team at that level. Nick’s choosing to play with the club. He’s been skating with these guys for the past 8 years so i don’t blame him. Next year he has to play high school if he wants to continue to play.

A season with all the tournament fees and BS about $6000.
Couple of great ones went off yesterday.
Both road dogs, Dallas and Columbus, got the victories they needed as they earned the best of seven opening split. Impressive, intense hockey! Well worth the price of admission.

Okay so is it me or has the Isles/Canes been boring thus far? Some decent goal-tending but I've found the games boring.

Yes makes me think the Pens were extremely bad to lose 4 straight to the isles. But the Canes vs Isles series has been close low scoring without the empty net goals, it’s anyones chance to win it all this year

Lol....I’ve been searching for one of those signs for a few years. Got super lucky and found one with a team puck on it in Dallas. First time I’ve seen that. And the red doesn’t show up too well in that pic, either. Neons are not the most photogenic. I am doing a modification to that sign.... Stay tuned for updated pics. If they don't play a hell of a game it will be hard to win in Raleigh on Friday. I didn't expect this at all. I thought Carolina would give them a good go, but a sweep!? No way.
That said Carolina is a very good team. And like another poster said - the cup is up for grabs for sure.
The Hurricanes were built with defense producing all star calibre performances. Slaven has been playing like a hidden Norris trophy winner. Rod brindamour should be considered for Jack Adams.

It's two fold as the Canes improved the later part of the season and are playing very well BUT also consider that the Isles played a very bad Penguins team in the first round. Penguins limped into the Playoffs on life support and the Isle had no problem pulling the plug.

Easy to explain....Mike Sullivan’s transformation into Dan Bylsma and pushing his star players into grinders along the boards......Seeing who’s left in the playoffs with pens bounced in 4 straight makes me sick to my stomach!
Didnt get to see the Canes/Isle game tonight as I was out but probably wouldn't have watched it anyhow since the series was boring to say the least. Did watch the Blues/Stars and holy snoozefest. Stars got out to the lead and turned into the Devils of old! Tell me if it's just me but these games aren't a whole lotta fun to watch?
Congrats though to the Canes. 80-1 odds at the beginning of the season to win the Cup.

I disagree..the stars/blues series is back n forth. Chances exchanged all game. There’s been some nastiness in the series, and some stellar goaltending. The other series out west has been entertaining as well

I was speaking of last nights game only.Agree the other games were entertaining. Last night the Stars got out in front and just seemed to hang on.
