Quoted from MT45:Wife redracer just ran into Jack Guarnieri and he was so kind and spent a bunch of time talking to her about her RRwoz. He signed her sling plastics. She looks like she’s having fun!
Jack is a good dude! Someday I hope to be able to buy him a drink, if I can ever make it to a show.

Do you have a ball that doesn't magnetize over time? I was just about to get some for Dialed In and Houdini, etc, but they'll get 100 games of play in a week on location, and if that's all it takes to magnetize them, I can't use them. But I like shiny things. Do you have something for people like me?

He also has the carbon steel balls on his site. Get those and you should be fine. Some have had no issues with the chrome balls but as mentioned your mileage may vary. I bought some of both to try out. Will see how the chrome balls do in Metallica and Kiss......

Thx! Starting at 1AM...
If I'm awake I'll tune in.
Looking for a Williams transmitter opto to repair a game at TPF. If anyone here happens to have a spare they can sell please PM me.
Quoted from Concretehardt:This gal is awesome! Is she a Pinsider? I love the hair!
She was at PAGG last year too. Different giant hair then, but another cool style. Someone said she's a hair stylist. Obviously very into pinball. Wouldn't doubt that she has a pinside acct, but I don't know what it is.

Honestly? I use these Ninja balls on my Dialed In (use them in Metallica and TAF too). Sure, they get magnetized after a couple of months of heavy play, but at that point I'd be changing them anyway. If you don't change the balls often in your games, check out his Carbon ones: https://ballbaron.com/product/pinball-carbon/
There is no promo on them because they are already super cheap but they also are not nearly as shiny as the Ninja - carbon balls just can't be shined that much. He explained it all to me. The carbon balls also tarnish faster. With all the trade-offs I just use the Ninjas and deal with some magnetism down the road.

Totally. But does the carpet match...
Oh, hey look, a door.

I know we all like our "shiny things", but this is not great advice. Magnetized balls in a pinball game is a bad idea. Over time any metal that they touch could potentially magnetize as well. The super-shiny/non-carbon balls should really only be used in games without magnets. IMHO.

It wasn't advice. It was just what I do. Been doing it for years. None of my machines have magnetized parts. The balls themselves are barely magnetized when they become so. He (and anyone else) are welcome to do whatever they prefer.
Yeah!!! Made it to my first TPF!! Can't wait for Saturday. Visiting with family tonight in Fort Worth. I will stayed glued to this feed for pics and stories!
