Quoted from Leeb18509:Best show there is. -#beerpolice
Beerpolice dude caught me one time this past TPF with a beer.
We should all remember to not walk around with a beer when the bar or mini-bar is not yet open.

Quoted from Leakyfaucet:Would it be a loser thing to make a pinside badge with my pinside name?
Many Pinsiders do this. I just put both my name and my online Pinside name on my lanyard name card.
Quoted from Leakyfaucet:So I'm not a loser! I found it, thanks for the info!
The sounds and call-outs should make this new Jetsons pinball machine fun to play. Could end up being the best part.
I make a motion that the official 2018 TPF thread not be started until the Monday after the Houston Arcade and Pinball Expo in mid Nov.
Quoted from Nevus:Mike are you bringing a game this year?
Nevus,
Have not yet signed up to bring a machine. Call me when you get a chance.
I'm not quite as good at burning the candle at both ends for 3 days straight like I use to do yrs ago.
I signed up to do the Day-1 (Thur Mar 23rd) portion of the 4-day event called Paddle Bayou Lafourche.
So, by the time I get home and unload kayak and gear, then would have to load up a pinball machine and leave by 3 am and drive to Frisco, to arrive in time to set up before Fri Noon.

Is there a certain cut-off date that we need to keep in mind if we are thinking about registering to bring a pinball machine to TPF-2017?
From reading info online on TPF website, I see that we need to be set up ready to go by Fri Mar 24th, 4 pm.
Yes, and no disgusting massive farts in the e-m section. Two yrs some one cleared the area, sent people gagging and fleeing. Moms were covering their mouth and nose trying to get their children to safety.
I counted that there is at least 370+ pinball machines registered on TPF website in the game line-up.
Looks like we may get some rainy weather on Friday for the drive to Frisco, TX.
May bring a 2nd machine if Fri weather forecast improves.
Quoted from labnip:Come by my booth for "coffee"
I bet there will be a lot of Pinsiders drinking Starbucks coffee this weekend.
Don't want to break any rules and such. Say no more.

Quoted from labnip:tuesday (today):
did some supplies shopping today for the show.
wednesday:
try a few different variety of cigars.
pick up box truck.
go around to pick up a few pins tomorrow for folks to bring to show for 'em.
load up vids & pins in truck.
load up booth stuff.
load up booth babes.
You/we are not even at TPF yet, but I already feel like we need to thank you for all the time and effort you have putting into this years TPF. I can appreciate how much it takes to bring multiple machines to an event like this, get a large enough truck, etc.
Please don't throw you back out moving/loading/unloading all those machines. Could make TPF a bummer if you have to stay hunched over all weekend due to back problems.

The secret code word for TPF 2017 is "coffee".
Yes, I'd like some more "coffee".
The password is still "pinball".
Quoted from Talon2000:The mall stated no parking this year, there was a map in the packet showing the overflow parking. I too parked at the mall as in previous years and got a warning. Better than being towed though.
When I found out about the parking Sat morning I moved over to the overflow at the baseball field parking, and it's actually better you don't have to cross that parkwood street which can take forever.
Quoted from YeOldPinPlayer:There was a notice up in either the Embassy parking lot or the corridor near the TPF registration both not to park in the mall area or risk being towed. I didn't take a photo since I was parking at our hotel across the street.
Thanks for your replies. I wasn't aware of that. I'll be sure to park in the approved overflow parking area next year.
There was probably about 25 to 50 trucks & cars that were parking along the outer edge of mall parking lot over the weekend.
Never heard any mention of not parking at the mall this year.
I'll admit that I would have been thoroughly pissed off if we had been towed.
