Hi. I'm new. (Didn't see an introductions section)

I'm going to the festival. Looking forward to playing some of the pins that aren't around here, and possibly some better conditions of ones which are.

Is it usually pretty easy to play on machines there? Or are they line-heavy? Thanks.

#678 7 years ago
Quoted from Law:

In past years the only real lines have been for the new releases or ultra rare games like big bang bar.
Otherwise there's not usually a line-if you're willing to wait for the current player to finish you're up. Don't be afraid to say something if people try to pretend you're not waiting and start a second game or multiplayer game.

Quoted from oohlou:

I concur with Law. Games like Dialed In will have lines but for most pins you likely only need to wait for the current player to finish.

Ah, okay, thank you. Most of my favorite games so far are the 80's and early 90's (not really a fan of Stern), so I should get to play a ton thanks.

Quoted from Quiddity:

Depends on the day and the time of day that you're there. The best shot you have at playing without dealing with lines are early and very, very late Friday, Saturday, and early Sunday morning. Out of the options, it's quietest late late Saturday night and even better Sunday morning. I normally avoid the hall during most of the middle of the day on Saturday, just because of the noise and the lines and the kids and the people. It's a great time to take a nap, just to get you ready for happy hour.

I'll probably skip out on drinking, and may bring ear plugs lol. If I get a headache, the chances of me enjoying pinball go to 0%. Debating on playing mostly at night, or playing during the day and enjoying my hotel in the evening lol.

Booked a room at the Westin 5 miles away, so if they don't shuttle, I'll probably be uber'ing back and forth lol

I booked a room at the Weston 5 miles away, because the quality of the rooms seemed comparable to the convention center hotel.

Quoted from 2Kaulitz:

whats the hotel info ? all links they had were full

http://www.westinstonebriar.com/

More expensive than most the ones listed in thread. I don't go on trips at all very often, so I prefer places that are nice enough that they feel like a treat lol.

Two best looking female arts on backglasses I've seen so far on Atlantis and Breakshot

Whoever Nicholas Schell is has a nice collection here.

Quoted from NicoVolta:

That be me... thx!
Also, it's free beer time....

Your Freedom plays the funnest. I like the Tatas on the Touchdown game. The girl on the left in the bowling theme game (fun game) looks like she has down syndrome or something lol. All the ones you had were super polished/clean looking.

Narrowed down my potential buys to...

The Six Million Dollar Man
Ice Revue
Far Out
Golden Bells
Monte Carlo
Pinball Pool
Lost World

Who will the lucky winner of my money be?! :O

#1285 7 years ago

Wtf! They said it closed in 10 minutes at 11:55! D:

#1291 7 years ago
Quoted from chadderack:

Vendors only apparently

No fair... I don't has any pinballs D:

#1292 7 years ago

Side note: Need more seats. Was more people compared to pins than I expected. Usually had to walk around a lot or be "that guy" who threw off someone's good game by suddenly waiting behind them lol

#1297 7 years ago

I farted on the Farfarella when the owner wasn't looking.

No flash Gordon today?

#1351 7 years ago

Why ellipses? Lol

#1353 7 years ago

Why do I get the vibe of "but..."?

#1355 7 years ago
Quoted from chadderack:

No, no downers dude. It's all been legit. Sometimes life gives you good stuff, and TPF was good stuff... no bulls___t.

What was your favorite part? Mine was that Flash remembered me before I ever spoke to him, then after I spoke to him and then spoke to him again, he said he remembered speaking to me. I know it's not pinball related, but I really like when I make sincere friends.
