Y'all know.
Don't leave any alcohol in your booth, coolers etc. Last year after the ballroom closed hotel security went through all vendors booths and took all alcoholic beverages out and disposed of them. Or ....resold them to you at the cash bar for $7 a piece
I land at Dallas Fort Worth airport 11:30am Friday morning. Anybody similar time want to share a cab ?

My games tried to fall off my trailer when a strap came loose. Physical damage was small, now just waiting for power to turn them on and see if anything is wrong.

I hope they are okay. You too.

Quoted from hassellcastle:Who brought a couch? Really?
Look at pics in post #953
That is VPCab's couch - they've had it there before. It's a great idea, and those guys are really cool... and people love it. There aren't a lot of places to "take a load off" in the venue. I actually have done a "poor man's" version at the shows I drive to - I bring a few folding chairs to my booth and allow people to "park it".
Just like last year, I'm jealous I didn't come Thursday. My plane leaves Baltimore at 11:00 am; I'm arriving at Love field at 1:45. Think I win the award for the last-arriving vendor! No issue, though, barring any glitches I'll be set up and ready when the show opens at 5:00. I weighed my suitcase and it is 3 pounds under Southwest's weight limit!

-visit me at TPF! or at http://www.kahr.us to get my daughterboard that helps fix WPC pinball resets or for my Pinball 2000 H+V video sync adapter kit
Just one more quick reminder: if anyone sees a TAF flyer for a reasonable price (read: $1-$10), I would be very appreciative if someone can pick one up for me. I loathe the thought of paying $20 on eBay for one. Of course, I'll reimburse plus shipping.
I have one connection, but I know the sheer "oooooo, ahhhhh" of TPF is massive, and while I trust them, I prefer to not have a "single point of failure" with a "memory slip".
Thank you.
By the time I got back from getting my Starbucks coffee, we had power. Everything came on fine. There is nothing worse then looking in your rear view and seeing your games topple over. DKJr and NF are up and running. I'm just glad I had not had a chance to start working on restoring them yet.
Thanks for all the pictures. Can wait for tomorrow. Look forward to playing the games and buying more toys.
Quoted from Mocean:Buffy(s) should be arriving shortly
Yep, spotted em tonight. Excited to enter the Hellmouth
We drove up to Austin and hit Pinballz today, was a great place, but man, the traffic was BRUTAL both ways, and especially on the way back. There is construction just about everywhere. What should have taken 3-1/4 hours took almost 5 hours on the drive back. Drive up took 3.5.
Was nice to finally make it back. The room is looking great! Can't wait to get started!

Got off to a terrible late start. Staying only a few hours away from home in Joplin Mo. Tommorow, Texas, here we come!
Quoted from rosh:Centenario -- an excellent choice, one of the best tequila's at that price point.
Yeah. Brought it up from mx city

We'll try to save some fun for ya
I've always wanted to buy that "enterprise" building... but couldn't force myself to live in ?italy? tx.
OBTW, the party can start because I is in the hotel.
Maybe a strange question, but are some games going to be set for quarters or is everything going to be on free play?
Quoted from PunkPin:Maybe a strange question, but are some games going to be set for quarters or is everything going to be on free play?
You pay a door fee... which covers all the machines on free play.
We'll, we just THOUGHT we were going to TPF this year...
We left our house in Salem, IN 4 1/2 hours ago. 215 miles into our trip, the engine in our Saturn Vue starts clanking really bad. I pull off the side of the highway and check the oil. It's full. Call a tow truck and he says it looks like we lost the oil pump and that the lifters sound like they're coming apart. He quotes me $1,381 to tow us back to Salem... Can't do that. So he tows us to a GM dealership for $140 where we are now sitting, in the broken down car, in the middle of the night, and wait until the service department opens to see if the engine is salvageable... I have my doubts... An adventure to say the least!

We just made it through TSA security with two suitcases full of mods, bags were searched, but they let us go. Wheels up in about an hour! Hope to be there by 2.
Anyone know if there are tolls on the Sam Rayburn Hwy from DFW airport to the hotel? Not clear if we need the toll pass. Or is there a toll at each entry and exit point?
