I recently acquired a Captain Fantastic and it has stars on it's backglass. I was told this was an "edited" second edition that was in response to an expressed concern of a need to conceal naughty bits of the plethora of concert going women. There are still many. If in fact that was the intent, it is not readily apparent to me where this goal was accomplished. It really seems to me like the stars would have been included in the original artwork given the title character.

My questions are: Are there only two versions of this backglass? Could someone post a non-star version?

Everyone knows, for decades women have long been an integral part of pinball artwork. Captain Fantastic has many lovely representations of the 70s, not many were wearing bras. My apologies to the 6 or 7 ladies here on pinside ( I know there's more just my poor attempt at humor) for the following "breast count" that might seem offensive, but that is not my intent nor did I create the artwork, simply the 11 year old version of me that would have played this machine back in the day at some campground or amusement park couldn't resist.

At my count, even with stars, I see 23 boobs on the backglass (26 if you count Brutus' and the guy next to him) and 22 on the playfield. The playfield count could possibly be considered 4 higher with the 2 Bally people on the apron but they seem way too abstract.

Again, not trying to stir anything up, just a light hearted observation of the time period Americana. I am simply trying to see how the non-star version could possibly be any more revealing than the free spirited representation of seventies life I currently have on my machine.

Captain fans, EM lovers, someone who saw this machine on last Sunday's episode of collectors call, hopefully someone knows. Like Elvira and the Party Monsters' broken bone on the inlane plastics as an homage to a crew member who broke his leg while Elvira was in the works. Its interesting to know the backstory. And if nobody replies, at least this has been my best shot at the longest first post stat.

Hey Dave mission accomplished indeed...
You definitely have to come over once this crap is done. Thanks to some cool fellow pinsiders there's been other additions since we corresponded last with somewhat more conservative art ( including shameless Gottleib self promotion placement lol) than the Captain but fun to play.
